Because, Lois never really did hit Clark that hard before now she really did punch, and with him being made out of steel, her hand would probably be sprained or her bones break in that part of the hand.

most definitely his color :D In the comics and LnC they once had Lois wearing nothing but his cape. It would be awesome if they had erica do a scene where she wound up only wearing a red blanket, kind of like clark in the season 4 premier.
