I have no idea if that is the opening quote to the soap "Days of our lives" it sounds close though. BUT that wasn't my point. Could this episode have been more of a Soap opra???? It was so cheesy, and...just weird! I never want to see Clark act that way again. One minute they are kissing, then he's practicing his proposal...when DUH DUH DUH, she marries Lex! I really feel this episode was one bad soap opra. :( Come on writers....bring on Superman! Please??

Not to mention the the whole "I'll put so and so in danger if you don't give into my blackmail and do what I say" hasn't been done over soooooo many times in movies and TV shows. How unoriginal.

It was unbearably cheesy! Hopefully next weeks episode would have enough action to make up for all this drama!

Oh, I'm very sad for Clark. Not saying that at all....it just seems he and Lana put them selves in these situations. I would feel worse for both of them if it wasn't self induced. If that makes sense?

Waitasec, you'd prefer if a FOTW was shoehorned in?

Everything was bsed on the inner workings of the Smallville Troika Clark/Lana/Lex.

Well done and refreshing change of pace.

i love lex i love lana wtf
this show is officially a joke
they focus too much on the whole love theme
that they forgot about clarks development
i mean him begging a married woman to be with him is very un-clark like
i miss season three when they actually had a decent ark but this season just proves that smallville is no longer the sci-fi show i used to like.

I know, all of the characters are going down hill.

with a trailer like that i'm sure it will be but hopefully it will be better than the last time a wwe superstar appeared on sv and i'm a big wwe fan so i'm sure kane will make 10 times more awsome than it will be

here's hoping. [fingers crossed]

I didn't realize that was Kane, now I must go back and take another look at the preview for next week.

Deff becoming more like a soap opera. I dunno what the hell they gonna pull out of season 7 if this season has this much drama. Hopefully they will add more action and hopefully add clarks power of flying.

I hope so - I want him to fly - he runs fast ok, cool - more please.

I know that the original Superman didn't fly or couldn't fly - but they changed that in the comics so now he can fly and he can fly in the movies and other media - so it's about time for Clark to grow up, get a job at the planet, and start flying already.

He needs a Zoner that will go the distance and last more than one episode to kick his a$$ so that he can start developing flight etc - (and no - I don't mean that the Zoner needs to kick him so hard he needs flight to get back down although that would be pretty entertaining).

I loved this episode. The writers did exactly what most fans were wanting. Lana finally knows Clark's secret, and they brought back the old, evil Lionel. The only thing that happened in this episode that most fans probably don't like is that Lana married Lex, but they even came up with an explanation for that! I diddn't think this episode was like a soap opra at all. It was awesome and everything changed. If you wanta see cheese than take a look back at season 5! (Particularly Thirst)

The show has definitely been moving towards a more soap opera-ish theme. Hopefully, they can balance this with more action packed episodes as well...

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I think I can safely say that this is NOT what most fans had wanted to see with this show. If we wanted to watch a soap, I'd watch SoapNet at night. Sheesh.

I'm really hoping Combat's going to restore my faith in Smallville! haha. After Combat doesn't the show go on another long hiatus?? So let's hope there is at least one good one before the break!

if by most fans you mean a small group of people who talk together about it and want it therefore ALL fans must want the same thing, then you are absolutely right!

.....I did NOT want any of that. particularly Lana knowing Clarks secret (especially if she was going to find out the lame way she did). Now i am not saying I am "most fans" but I seriously doubt this episode and the events that took place in it was what "most fans" wanted.

-----------

oh.... and it's "Like sand throught the hour glass, so are the days of our lives." *cheesy music*

now, don't think I watch this soap, or any other soap, but my sister used to be a big Day's fan, and sometimes i would walk in on her watching it, and upon hearing this phrase, would procede to run screaming from the room......it still haunts me in my dreams.....

I felt like I was watching Dawson's Creek again. People joke about SV being like DC but it really was like the whole Pacey/Joey/Dawson triangle. Clark and Lex, are the new Pacey and Dawson with the whole both guys talk or think about how wonderful Joey is and despising each other over a girl. Ugh

This reminds me of something I read about Walt Disney when his daughter told him one of his ideas was corny. He replied that the whole world loved corn, so there must be a reason. And personally, I love cheese even more than corn.

Although I felt sorrier for Lex. Clark could have had Lana anytime he wanted. He chose to throw her away. He's like a child who puts down a toy but then wants it back as soon as another child picks it up.
