I thought this was a great episode. I enjoyed Hiro and Andos interactions. kind of sad. Mohinder and Sylar was cool he was really sneaky this episode. Peter seems to have become evil. Learned to use his powers quick. I figured Simone would die but the way it happened was a shock. Claire finally told her dad off but im wondering if mr bennett is going to tell off the hatian guy for letting claire keep her memory.

oh and why did issac have the painting of hiro and the trex when hiro had the picture and his dad tore it up.

I can't wait for next week!
I didn't think it would be Simone, but she was the most disposable character, I guess. Great episode!
I don't think Peter's evil, just really mad. Maybe the trauma of losing Simone might make him snap out of it? On the other hand, he did spend a lot of time with Dr. Who, and that might have pushed him over the edge... I'll have to watch it again :)

Exactly as the episode title...unexpected! Wow they really decreased the number of ppl on the show now. No Ando, Simone died...Claires moms gone, mentally atleast.
This show just gets better and better!

I have to say, as much as I like Niki, DL, Micah and their story I'm glad they weren't here it just seemed to make the story flow more smoothly.

Mohindar's stupidity is pissing me off, but it's still good storytelling

no more ando... I thought he was the one who was gonna bite it, especially after what that other guy said about getting your partner's blood on your hands.

overall one of the better eps IMO

 I wondered about that, maybe it was a copy? artists often have copies of their paintings hanging around. ( I would know, mums an artist)

I thought it was a pretty good episode. A lot of character growth and a lot more of the heroes teaming up to get things done or to find answers. I gave it a 9.

Great episode!!!

I love Peter,he was great and so powerfull.Sylar was so sneaky, what a vilain but,Mohinder was really naive.Hiro's powers worked but,he will be alone now,it's sad but,it will be for the better.Claire was really pissed and I thought she was very good.Simone died.I was expecting it for a long time and she was not a major character anyway.

This episode I think had the best cliffhangers of the whole season so far IMO; Peter and Claude splitting up, Ando and Hiro splitting up, HRG cornered by Matt and Ted, and Simone dead. I really like the line that Matt is walking in terms of being a good and bad guy. He's definitely in the gray area now. This episode was definitely stronger without the Nikki/DL/Micha storyline. Something's not clicking right with Sylar's new power, which is interesting. And I'm eagerly awaiting the ultimate showdown at the end of this season between Peter and Sylar, the two most powerful Heroes on the show. That will truly be one superpowered fight.

I agree, I knew Simone would bite the dust, but it was "Unexpected" how they did it.

I also noticed the dinosaur painting, I looked at my wife and said "Unless he painted another one, that one was torn up by Hiro's father."

Unless HRG is immune to the Hatian, he might not remember to tell him off.
:D

If there were a choice higher than "10" this episode deserves it.

The only thing that could have made it better is, if it was four hours long :p

I'd stay up for that one :)

Peter's been my favorite character since the beginning. I actually jumped up and down kinda spastic-like (like a kid on a Saturday Christmas morning and I haven't done that in a LONG time!) when Peter got away from HRG and the Haitian on the roof. OMG, that's what I've been waiting for ever since the ep' he figured out he was a "Rogue". And when he went against Isaac... Christmas all over!

I agree, the absence of the Tyler Durden stripper made the story that much better. I kinda hope she's the other character that gets it.

Everything else about this ep' had "FINALLY!" written all over it!

BEST EPISODE OF THE SEASON... YET!!!!!!!!

The Nikki Sanders/DL is a boring storyline isn't it?

Episode was great, 10/10, but it actually would've benefited from another half hour with that "Tyler Durden stripper". (Coolest nickname for her you could've given, because she's got a damned interesting story if you just give her time. Just like some people are starting like Peter more than they did, Niki will payoff ultimately too. Have a little faith.)

I thought The Episode was Fantastic, it was good to see Hiro accepting his Destiny, and I really did Enjoy The Fight between Peter and Issac it was great, and I also Enjoyed seeing Stan Lee making a Cameo on The Show, I thought it was really great, I can't wait to Next Week's Episode, it is going to be great, this is a great Show.

I thought last nights episode was the best so far. Why doesn't Mohinder recognize the voice of Sylar, I think if I heard the voice of the man who killed my father, (on Dr. Suresh, Sr.'s answering machine) that voice would be burned into my memory.

Again this week just another stellar episode. Claire confronting her father was just what was needed because it shed a little bit of light into his mindset. Matt with Radioactive Man and that other chic at the end at the Bennet's house was awesome. Seeing Peter pulling a Superman off the building and then unleashing on Isaac at the end was incredible. What a shame for Simone. The special appearance by Stan Lee picking up Hiro was awesome for us comic book geeks!!! I had to give this episode a 10 and I cannot wait for next week's episode.

One of the greatest episode of the season!! Seeing Peter now so powerful its incredible!! The flying scene was just so wonderful. I almost forgot Superman !!! I hope though he is not becoming too much evil now that Simone is dead... Cant wait for the next episode!!

ps: i really l enjoy when they put some ''catch sentences'' in some trailers like:

- Save the cheerleader , Save the world
- Are you on the List?
- Someone flies, someone dies..

It makes the show more suspensful!!

Great episode, it just gets better an better... I'm sensing that the cliffhangers in this season's end will be really incredible... and will make it much harder to wait for the next season...
"Why doesn't Mohinder recognize the voice of Sylar" -I think Sylar has changed his voice a little, maybe some kind of accent too? Of course this can't last too long or it would really start to be annoying...

What I Love about this show is that pretty much all of the characters, with the exception of Sylar and Hiro, operate in the gray area of heroism. Each has their own individual idea of what it is to be a hero, which is interesting. I'm interested to see which path Matt takes....good or bad. Due to Matt's deep desire for recognition from people for his work and him trying to be a good cop, he is right now walking the line of almost anti-hero, by first stealing diamonds, and now breaking into HRG's home and holding him AND his family hostage at gunpoint for answers.

This was a fantastic episode. So much better than last week's episode. I really like how they are developing Peter. It would actually be a good suprise if he turned out to be a villain in the long run. No one would expect it. I could totally see him slowly being driven mad and feeling betrayed by those around him. The drawing that Isaac had of Peter made him look pretty sinister. The flying scene was fantastic. So much better than the scene with Nathan earlier in the season. It was great to see an up and close shot of Peter flying and then the speed away was so sweet.

It is funny because Peter and Sylar are sort of similar in the fact that they can absorb other's abilities. Granted, Sylar has to commit muder to do it, and Peter can do it naturally, but they are similar.

The one thing that bugged me a bit about this episode is how quickly Peter transitioned into being able to choose powers he wants @ random. He had no control at all up until this episode, and then all of a sudden, he can just select powers at will. Some progression up to this would have been nice.

I really love Matt now. I like the fact that he is walking a fine line. He was really boring before, but the new developments in his character are making him much better. Right now, the show's only weak link is the Niki storyline.

Also, it would be nice for Hiro to eventually get to Linderman. One thing that has been bugging me, is that Hiro has been in Vegas for more than a few eps now, but he never gets anywhere. They keep throwing these storylines in the way like with Charlie, and then the chick with the bag of chips, etc.. It is starting to feel like they are stretching things out just to eat up time. Just have him get to Linderman and get the sword already! I was a bit sad to see Ando go, because he was actually one of my favorite characters and I really liked the Hiro/Ando friendship.

I am so psyched for next week. Although they have a tendecy to create misleading previews when Heroes is concerned, so my hopes aren't too high. They have told us we will get answers on more than one occasion, only to be basically be left with what we already know.

Peter + Sylar = 1 helluva fight... I can't wait to see them two throw down, it's going to be epic!

I also agree, Nikki should have died when DL popped his hand through her, that would have been a perfect ending.

Here's a question- If Peter absorbs powers by being around a hero, what would happen if Sylar slurped his brain? He probably would get absorption, but what about the other powers Peter's been collecting?

Actually, I don't think the Hiro segment is getting drawn out. I think the writers are trying to really develop him into a more confident person. The whole reason Hiro brought Ando along was because Hiro thought it would be fun for the two of them to go on an adventure. Also, Hiro needed Ando to drive the car, be a translator, and for support. Now Hiro realizes he must do this on his own and it is not a game. Hiro has gained more confidence and realizes he should not place his best friend in danger to satisfy his own fear.

The Niki storyline is kind of weak but I like to see that out of everyone else adapting to their powers like it is a good thing, there is one of them that is truly struggling with her's. She's like the Incredible Hulk in that she has super strength and cunning but to use them she has to adopt her other personality of her dead twin sister. I think that is a brilliant twist because as a major in psychology it is really interesting.

I agree completely, Nikki reminds me of the Hulk, and it seems like Jessica can almost take over at will... I wonder what would happen if Sylar slurped her? Would he develop a Jessica, or would he just be super-strong?

Yeah but from the direction they have been going with Hiro, he will begin to gain more confidence and control of his ability when he gets the sword. In order for that to happen, he has to get to Linderman. That is why I want him to make it to Linderman so that he can truly start to come into his own. As sad I was to see Ando go, we finally might get down to business now that he is gone.

I gave it a 10. It was fantastic. That episode slowly came to a boil. Ah. Wonderful. The highlight: Super freaking awesome Peter Petrelli!
