Chloes a meteor freak.

How is anybody not talking about this?
I thought Tobias might have just mistaken chloe for clark? But wooow this is crazy and cool at the same time if chloe gets powers clark and chloe can fight crime together, that is if she gets good powers and if she doesnt go to a nut house or die like previous meteor freaks

I really loooooved the scence when clark had to burn her, the acting was great and there was so much tension between chloe and clark, I think the experience of him having to take the gps out of her and x ray her made them closer in a way. I was getting a sexy tension vibe but maybe im just crazy.

i think chloe won't have abilities surface until sometime toward end of season and then the way they'll write her out of the show would be to cause her life to be threatened by lex's evil intent, forcing her to choose going into hiding with oliver queen and company, eventually making her a part of the justice league.

I'm thinking our Freak of the Week was so close to Clark that it made him see an extreme surge and so naturally Tobias jumped to the conclusion that it had to be Chloe, or maybe what he was reading was a braile edition of the Dailey Planet and he thought maybe Chloe could help expose the truth.

If Chloe joins the Justice League maybe she will dye her hair black and become a true Wonder Woman. :o

The way Jimmy fiends over Chloe, she probably exhibits super powers in the bedroom.
I loved the way Clark kept staring at Chloe. He's probably curious about what her powers may be. I thought perhaps it's her super hacking skills. But if that's the case, there didn't seem to be any noticeable hints within the show. If Chloe is truly a meteor freak, hopefully she won't exhibit an ability that will harm Clark.

if it is to be that she is really a MF (bc that is still up for debate)...and IF she has any powers..i figure it wont even play out this season...it will go into season 7..and even then..maybe not until the middle of the season or something...

i expect more answers in Progeny

are you guys kidding me?! Chloe's meteor power is so clear and has been a major factor for the last 2 seasons. she has super computer skills. they made it very clear in the episode that that was it. Jimmy mentioned it twice, and clark did too.

it's TPTB explaining why she can hack into the most secure facilities computers with ease.

What seems really weird and I'll have to review my copy of the eppie to make sure but Tobias seemed almost blinded by the light he saw when Chloe and Clark were in the room. Tobias didn't react that way to the bowling alley employee. Perhaps Tobias had mistaken a special aura for that of a meteor freak. I'm still suspicious that Tobias really saw Clark's Kryptonian aura and mistakenly thought the aura came from Chloe. Maybe Tobias reasoned that Clark seems to be too mild-mannered to be the meteor freak. If not then perhaps Chloe's aura is somehow affected by Clark's presence. If I remember correctly, Tobias didn't seem to notice Chloe at the bowling alley. If her supposed meteoric aura was normally that uniquely bright, he should've easily spotted her at the bowling alley.

well, it hurts him to look for them, and he spotted the closest one to him first. as soon as he found one, he didn't feel the need to endure the pain much longer. made sense to me.

IMO, they used Chloe as a plot device to get the story going tonight... The meteor freak story doesn't make sense at all.

I hope it's gonna be explained and over for good after 'progeny'...

Which is awkward because Chloe's picture of Tobias showed him pointing at the guy while he was walking *towards* the girls, so that's a continuity goof in the episode.

The other point is that since Chloe got the picture of Tobias pointing, she was well within sight of him, so he should have been able to see her glowing green at that time also.

Excellent point...
Also, remember that when Tobias identified Chloe as 'one of them', we did not get to see what he saw. So, we don't know for a fact that Chloe was really glowing in his eyes... Maybe Clark does have some kind of an alien aura that lead Tobias to a wrong conclusion about Chloe...

I seriously doubt that Chloe will ever develope powers by the end of the season or series. That would just disappoint Smallville fans in general. It's a horrible idea.

I don't mind her having powers, as long as they make them something really cool, not something she already does. And I really, really hope she doesn't go crazy. I want to see her get some uber-power and use it for good.

But it's like they are making it that she can't be just Chloe the reporter. It's like they have to add something to screw with her character-arc. They did it to Lana and she's never been the same. I don't want that to happen to Chloe.

Chloe as a meteor freak doesnt bother me. I find the idea pleasantly ironic. She has, of course, spent a good portion of her life uncovering/exposing them. At least during her highschool years...
