I say Season Six Finale is when it will be for sure, this is getting incredibly close... the metal bar and the bullet, both in less than a 5 episode time span, also both physical proof :p

Yep, she'll know by the end of this season or at the very beginning of Season 7.

But, finding out that Clark is not a meteor freak has throw her for now. she thought that was the answer to everything.
but it could all change next episode. One episode she thinks she knows for sure and then the next episode, she's back to where she started. I hope this won't be drawn out though, like with chloe in season 4.

I would count on it being drawn out, but trust me it'll pay off just as well as Chloe's finding out in the Season 5 premiere.
I did like how Lana said that even if it were true that he was infected that he would still be the same Clark. Gave me a bit of hope that she wouldn't sell him out to Lex if she did find out. Just the stuff she said about protecting him this episode made me like Lana more this season - she was riding the line between love and hate for me - she's winning me back.

Yeah, but we knew for a fact that Chloe knew then, because we saw her see Clark catch a car, lol

When Clark ran in to save her, I was expecting him to keep standing there and let her see he saved her. Then say, "hey stupid you know the 234 other times you were saved by some "miracle" and thanked someone else... it was me."

Yep, that talk she had with Clark in the hospital where she found out how "out of this world" he really was. Hopefully we get something just as awesome for Lana.

I am very much hoping they do something like this:

It would be too friggin spectacular. The continuity would be something else.

okay you may be on to something:D
I am all for continuity because there are so many avenues in SV leading to the main road.
I like the idea of lana probing into Clark's adoption story

Thanks. It would make me incredibly happy for a very long time if they could use that approach. It would show Lana to be a very smart person who can figure it out herself and get her on the right track that she should have been for years.

She didn't find out anything. They've already covered this ground in an earlier season (beginning of 3?). Clark just repeated what he said earlier which was that he is not a meteor freak. She thought he was then, and he told her back then too. It annoyed me a little.

You guys are all right. The truth is that the writing of the show is terrible. We would not even be watching this crap if it was another show. We are all superman fans and that is the main reason we watch. The writing is pathetic though. I mean c'mon, the episode when clark dies in the hospital says it all. She walks in his house at the end and just hugs him. Never asked how or where the scar is. I mean c'mon this is just plain retarded. They really messed up here with the plot holes and the writing. It is too far fetched to be real. There is no way he could have gotten away with this in a million years. I lost all respect for the writers after that episode. This show has turned, sadly, more into a soap opera than a superman series. I wish they would get back to the basics. The whole Lana taking 25 years to find out the obvious is proof in itself that the writers are dragging this show out and acting like it is a days of our lives show. You couls miss 5 episodes and still not be lost in the plot of the Clana. RIDICULOUS>>>>
I think she already knows. She doesn't quite know what she knows, but she is definately protecting Clark cause she knows he is "special" somehow.

I think that TPTB are doing a nice job in having Lana find out the truth about Clark by slowly giving her little bits and pieces. They're really starting to redeem her character.

ya i just dont want lana to find out herself, i want clark to tell her. mainly because lanas getting all smart and coccky.
Lana knows something. In this episode she let Clark know she knows something and that it was okay with her. I think she is waiting for Clark to tell her. So it is more of a thing of trust between Lana and Clark. At least to Lana. Clark of course can't tell her because of the whole thing with Jor-el and forfilling his destiny, and well I don't know why the heck he can't tell her. Maybe too many years of Jonathon Kent's overprotection?

i agree. although tobias may of temporarily thrown her off the trail with the he's perfectly normal comment. it seemed with a wink and a nod she believed clarks magic bullet theory though.

Totally agree. And I never thought that was possible. Ever since Hydro, Lana's stock has certainly been rising. I hope she really finds out about Clark and they can become good friends- but it would definitely be interesting if she thought he was simply a 'meteor freak' and Clark & Chloe just went along with it.

i think she'll find out before the season finale
i swear clark should just TELL her his story since she knows he has a secret anyways and its bound to happen

I think in a way, Clark is sitting back and watching her closely, letting her prove herself to him after all these years (and esp. the recent antagonism).

I was hoping he would stand there for a few seconds then super speed off.

(He had just destroyed the rocket that was supposed to wipe out Smallville.)

Yes, I was hoping he would stay and let Lana see him too. I was like... at least let her see him in a blur or something.
I think that was a great opportunity to let Lana know.

she already knows that whatever Clark has, he is using his abilities to help others and that is all that matters to her. eventually she will find out what his 'gig' is. like she said even if he were meteor-effected, it wouldn't matter, he would be the same old Clark Kent (because he was always there to help when anyone was in trouble)

I think that Lana would have a hard time with knowing the true secret because Clark isn't just a meteor freak. He is actually an alien, and Lana has made it clear how she feels about kryptonians (with good reason).
However, for a while last season they were making a big deal about how much she hated them and supported Lex's research to help defend against them, but that hasn't been brought up in a while. So maybe she would take it better than I think. But bottom line is meteor freaks are still humans who just happened to be infected. Clark isn't a human. I just don't know how Lana will take that.
Clark would still be the same old Clark Kent. He would still be an alien.
It seems to me that TPTB have backed off a bit on Lana's determination to track down the first spaceship (Clark's). I think TPTB have changed the storyline arc a bit from their initial plans.

Wasn't there an episode where some kid was growing up realllly fast and blew up in the end and clark held the kid while he blew up, the water tower or windmill or whatever they were on also blew up right in front of Lana. If she can't figure out that clark is not normal she's seriously has mental issues.

Yeah I think that episode was called Ageless, but I don't remember the specifics of it. Either way, it was a pretty weird episode.

I think she will figure it out at the end of this year but it will be too late. She will be in too deep with Lex.
