Chimmy over? WAY to LIE, CW!

I was surprised when Chloe told Clark she and Jimmy were dunzo..too bad it didn't stay that way. The CW's promoting Chimmy as over did not happen. It was very misleading of them to say that. It's a pattern that I've noticed they have started with "Labyrinth". For example, the promo and the director's cut of Chlark ended up being a Clana centric episode. What the heck is going on with the CW? What's with the bait and switch promotion? Wake me up when the snooze fest Chimmy FINALLY bite it.

The episode description is seriously misleading and I'm puzzled about what's going on. Maybe they got confused with Crimson?

Anyways, enough with the Chimmy. They bore me. And they take away my powerful Chloe! I want my Powersuits of Chloevage back!!

Thank goodness it'll likely end next week. :p Put us out of our misery! I like Jimmy, just not him *with* Chloe.

I agree....Jimmy is not in Chloe's league. He's great and adores her (and that is great), but he can't keep up, he's not on the same level as our girl.

I think the writers are on RedK and forgot what was supposed to be in the episode.

How else are they going to incorporate him into the show? I think people are mad because Chlark will *never* happen.

How else? He can still work with her on the case... They could end as friends and Jimmy accepting that he'll always be second on Chloe's eyes... Crimson had the perfect setup for that... But anyway... :(

yeah and jimmys starting to become closer friends with lois too. theres a lot of ways they can include jimmy in the show, especially when a third of the show happens at the DP

Aside from "people" being mad that Chlark will *never* happen.. which, um, I'm not because I don't think that :p.. how else would Jimmy be introduced?

Well, there is the little fact that he's a budding photojournalist/cub reporter for the DP and they could do that? Nah, that's too obvious. :p And if they wanted to play on the past relationship with Chloe, they could have had him chasing after Chloe and her just not being into him anymore and them working together anyways. Sorta like the ILL/Jimmy relationship of history. Hee.

Chloe needs to stop pinning over Clark. Never going to happen. Jimmy and Chloe have great chemistry, and unlike Clark, Jimmy finally is giving Chloe the attention she deserves.

Also this would keep Chloe in the DC Superman mythos as "Superman's Pals Chloe (Sullivan) and Jimmy Olson."

I don't think CW misled anyone at all. When did they promote that Chimmy was over?

Director Cut is not reflective of the entire episode either. The director cut of Hydro was Clark/Chloe but the episode was heavily Clois. Director Cut is merely one scene from the episode. It does not tell you what the entire episode is about.

I don't think there is any "bait and switch" promotion at all. Whatever CW promotes is related to the show.

Finally, I don't think Chimmy is going to bite it any time soon. If you've read Al Gough's iF interview, Chimmy is here to stay.

PS: thedarkknight, first of all, I don't think people are "mad" at Chlark not happening and two, TPTB don't need "reasons" to keep Jimmy Olsen on the show. He is part of the future & mythology. However, you can say that TPTB are looking for reasons to keep "Chloe" on the show!

They didn't promote Chimmy as over in any trailers but the official description for the episode Trespass said that Jimmy breaks up with Chloe in that episode and Chlark discuss it. That clearly didn't happen. Chimmy broke up in Crimson and Chlark kinda talked about it but not really. It was more of Jimmy and Clark talking about it and trying to get Chimmy back together. Aww. Clarkie did a good thing! *pats him on the head and gives him a biscuit*

I think Jimmy is sweet and really cares for Chloe but it seems to me she is just accepting Jimmy because she can't have Clark.. I don't want that for Chloe. She deserves better. I'm sick of Clark and his stupid self. This episode caused me to lose sleep. Stupid writers.
