I know probably all of you had heard the story about how Zach was intended to be gay, but that was dropped to make him a love interest of Claire's. the same story also said that one of the main character's would be coming out in the near future. So who do you think it is?

I'd say I wouldn't be surprised to discover that Hiro and Ando are gay, despite Ando watching Niki online. Maybe it is just Hiro. He didn't really seem to be trying to win over the waitress, just save her life.

I think the interview mentioned that Tim Kring intended Heroes to be a diverse show, so he would like to have a gay character.

Isaac- same as peter

Claire- eying QB but, still possible

Zach- Duh!

Simone- Duh!

Nathan- Man whore juggling 3 women so 50/50

Hiro- in love with Charlie

Ando- a thing for Hiro's sister

Sylar- no clue

Micah- maybe

DL- serious doubts there

Jessica/Nikki- Doubt it

Mohinder- doubt

Hation- definite candidate for gay or euro-trash

Matt- deep closet if yes

Claude- maybe

Though I do like the idea of Jessica being gay.

But I think Sylar may be gay. Talking about destiny with Mohinder. But that may not happen seeing as he is the villan, and I doubt they would piss off the gay community.

i think i know who it is.after company man aired 2 spoilers from episodes 2 come were taken from the rest and reposted at the top

- Hiro will be getting a new love interest, but not until Season 2.
- We may finally be rid of Peter's bangs by the end of the season, as he may get a new look by that time.

we know peter has gotten his bangs cut,but not in the way we thought.so maybe the gay couple is hiro and ando.cuz after parasite many people thought ando was gone,and then he came back so maybe by season 2 they`ll fall in love with eachother.

My guess is Claude, Haitian, Linderman, or Candice. I don't get why shows have to have a gay person in it or at least one character at one point has to be gay. Smallville had its gay person in S1 and she came back in S2. This is what I get from TV. Producers won't say it, but most of the time when they cast, they cast for a minority, cause if Heroes was an all white cast(minus Hiro and Ando) then you might get african americans pissed that they don't have any black people. Same with gays. Nothing against either minorities or gays/lesbians, but its ridiculous that they get pissed sometimes about it. I'm pretty sure Smallville made Pete Ross black cause they wanted to be diverse. I heard they didn't want to make Zach gay or weren't allowed to cause it would be stereotypical to male a confused awkward teen male gay.

I don't think he has a problem, he was only pointing out his opinion.

In fact I kind of agree. i mean like you said this show have a lot of different types of people, show diversity. Thing that I like a lot. But if one of the character is or would be gay is not the point. I mean, Issac is supposedly latin. But you never heard him talking in spanish. I'm from latinamerica and that doesn't bother me. So not everybody have to be something.Only if it works for the plot. Sorry, I don't know if I explaining myself very well :\

The managers for the guy who plays Zach demanded that they erase all mentions or insinuations that he is gay from all official profiles and made sure that any appearance of Zach would not in anyway promote the gay topic. having one of the characters on the show be "same sex team" would actually be interesting to me. i am all for gay/lesbian/bi storylines, i think the more of them (in a positive way) will help society cope w/ people coming out.

i dunno who would be the gay character though. maybe Matt & Mohinder get a connection w/ taking care of Molly. or...maybe Kristen Bell's Elle character is a lesbian. now that would be interesting for her to play. i think.

i am not a fan of hers, but she has my respect for getting into Heroes. i would never diss her & i think if her character turned out to be gay, it would definitely put a different spin on the show.
she wouldn't necessary be the "token gay person", but an icon to those who love her talent as an actress. being able to put gender to the side like that is very respectable...at least to me it is.

But I get annoyed that whenever two characters of the same gender share a scene, people suddenly assume there's some kind of gay subtext (Clark/Lex, brothers from Supernatural, Hiro/Ando, Mohinder/Matt, etc). Is it not simply possible that two people can just be friends?
Take JD & Turk (Scrubs) for example; two friends with an innocent "guy love" despite the rest of the world not understanding (best explained in the season 6 episode "My Musical").

True, but it's not they are best friends. Turk's happiest memeory isn't the birth of his child or getting married, it was when him and JD found 2 decoder rings in 1 box of cereal. JD's seperation anxiety when Turk moved out. They are not gay on the show but the point of the joke is that they may as well be.

Only if it turned out that one had feelings for the other. If JD was written as gay but had feelings for The Todd, then that would be ok. But if he had feelings for Turk, it diminishes the foundation of their friendship.

if you were referring to my statement, i never said they were gay. i said that there could be a possibility of them getting closer through there care for Molly. i personally don't think it will happen, it was just a thought.

i could have sworn it was zach considering in the homecoming episode.when zach made claire go.he refused to be her date.she asked if it was because of what Jackie said about him being gay.he said it didn't bother him and that he liked who he was.he seem to of told claire that he digged dudes.
I just got done watching the first season this morning.but then again maybe the speedster is gay.
