Well now that we know that Peter can hold on to power he comes into contact with for extended periods of time, its looking we are setting up Pete to become to real superhero of the group. Perhaps he this will eventually lead to a battle with the Juggernaut Lenderman*spelling

Yeah. Peter will definetely have a comination of awesome powers. Flight, regeneration, invisibility, telepathy, insight, and teleportation (assuming he absorbed some of Hiro).
I think he'd be a little too powerful. He'll definitally be the one in the showdown versus Sylar.

If he's ever around Nikki, does he get super strength?

Dang. There was a hero in the comic books who had so much power but couldn't maintain either. I think he died from the overload. I wonder if that is where they are going with Peter?

Ot the ultimate bad guy.
Power tends to corrupt; absolute power corrupts absolutely.

It's gonna be quite a multi-superpowered showdown between Peter and Sylar to watch
Power doesn't corrupt fools. Fools corrupt power. (think I got that right. not sure where it's from.)

I also believe that I've seen a storyline either in the comics or in some toon incarnation of X-Men where Rogue went haywire from all of the emotions and memories that she absorbed along with the temporary powers.

So Peter and Nathan are brothers; Nathan, years ago, had an illigetamate child, that turned out to be Claire. This would make Peter, Claire's uncle. Claire's foster father is HRG. HRG, is currently searching out superpowered people and has experimented on some, such as Matt, Nikki, Isaac, Claude, Ted, and Sylar. Sylar killed Mohinder's father. HRG possibly works for the mobster, Linderman. Nikki and D.L. are among those who have worked for Linderman. Linderman buys all of Isaac's paintings through Simone, who is in the middle of a love triangle with Isaac and Peter, and now possesses the sword, that Hiro and Ando seek. lol ok, I think I got everything mapped out in some organized way. Probably missing a few things

I think maybe Sylar and Peter have the same power. Perhaps eating their brains isn't necessary it's just a block that Sylar has. Hmm...
I want someone to stomp on Sylar-cockroach really hard. DIE SYLAR DIE!

sylar has the power to figure out how things work internally so he can isolate the portion of the brain that controls ones powers...if he took peters brain/power he would no longer need to kill anyone if he chooses not too..Now since Peter and Sylar have wrestled does peter have all the powers that Sylar has stolen?? he would have too...plus the future Hiro came back to him so he should have Hiros power AFTER he has mastered it so he could have just stopped time, flew, regenerated whatever after he hit that car......

Peter not only has the powers of the heroes he has come into contact with, but he also has all of Sylars powers to boot. Remember, he pushed Sylar off the school saving Clare. Thus he came into contact with Sylar and absorbed his powers.

I believe the only power Peter would be able to absorb from Sylar would be his actual power, the one that lets him know how things work. This is just speculation, but I think that Peter's ability would only allow him to absorb natural powers, not ones implanted like Sylar has done to himself.
Also, since we now know that Peter can/has perma-absorbed, and I remember Simone's Dad having that dream with Peter in it, maybe that's how Peter got his prophetic dream power?

Good point.
I hadn't thought of that.
And, since there was at one time another group of "Heroes" that we know now that Claude was in, could have her father also been a member?
They have a lot of back stories to fill us in on.

I think he will have some sort of limit though. there is no reason to continue the show if the good guy is so much stronger than the bad guy. and as a side note I think every single special person on the show has either worked for or benefitted from Linderman. Like Peter, Hiro and Claire and Micah maybe the only ones that havent had direct contact with him but even they have all benefitted from him. Peter Claire and Micah all have had at least one parent work for him and Hiro is going to get his sword from him

I wouldn't call Peter that much more powerful than Sylar. Peter can permanently absorb powers, Sylar can permanently steal powers. Sounds like pretty even footing, IMO.
I wonder if peter's borrowed powers are as strong as the orgionals.
