I thought the way he mentioned Lana and her going to Paris for her wedding dress was done in a cheesy manner. It seemed like he was trying to impress Lionel, I gues for that crack last season when he said Lana would never love him, but it seemed like a cliche rich guy attitude. Maybe I'm the only one that felt this way. He's really trying to impress Lana with his money. First sends her to Amsterdam, then to Paris. Then the whole proposal with hundreds of roses. He's just so over the top. If I were Lana I would be turned off. His actions seem so predictable and there isn't much substance to them, IMO.

Lex is a pretty cliche rich guy. His evil side where he will do anything for what he thinks is "right" is what sets him apart. Other than that, throughout Smallville we've seen him be the cliche rich guy who: fences with beautiful women, has sex with lots of beautiful women, and is accused of murdering beautiful women. Am I sensing a theme here? :P
