(I'm posting this here as it is a speculation thread, though there aren't any spoilers in it, per se -- nothing that hasn't been seen in the episodes or displayed in the Graphic Novel at NBC.com up to this point.)

Ever since Heroes first began to air, I’ve tried to avoid guessing who the over all villain would be. I knew it wasn’t going to be Mr. Bennett (although I guess that’s still up for debate) because that seemed far too obvious. I also recall reading an article where the show’s creator said that the “super villain” of the series wouldn’t become apparent until near the end of the first season.

My money is on Mr. Linderman, the unseen mob boss that has ties to various heroes across the world. He buys Issac’s work, he tries to extort Nikki, attempts to kill Nathan and Heidi, tries to blackmail Nathan... and we still haven’t had a proper look at the guy.

I reckon that Mr. Bennett answers to Linderman (we saw Bennett on the phone talking to a “ higher up” in this past Monday’s episode).

Thoughts?

i have been wondering about linderman too. we have never seen him and he seems pretty powerful cause he deals with pretty much every group. he delt with nikki's website stuff and he works with nathan in government and he is an art fanatic. perhaps he is kind of like a lex luthor. or in smallville terms lionel luthor. cause he was dealing with giant corporate takeovers and he also delt with the black market and gang members in vengance. could be the same type of thing. would be intresting to see how his character plays out. we may not find out till the end of the season tho perhaps.

I’m also not convinced that Mr. Linderman is a mister; I wondered briefly if the Asian lady who dealt with Nikki and Nathan after their night together was actually Linderman.

I’m a bit of a conspiracy theorist, you may have noticed. ;)

lol

i didnt think of that i assumed the asian lady was like one of his secretaries or like a lex's girl of the month type girl.

I think she was meant to be the person in charge of the hotel that Nathan was staying in, and was working for Mr. Linderman (as I assume many of the business owners in Vegas probably have).

Still, it didn’t stop me from wondering if maybe, just maybe, she was Linderman. :D

ya linderman can turn out to be anybody. he could have a shapeshifting power if he does have a power. its like when we never saw sylars face we kind of thought peter can somehow be sylar.

know what would be intresting if linderman is actually future sylar. i mean if linderman has something to do with mr bennet collecting power people maybe linderman is using that to keep tabs on them to take them over at some other point. like when their abilities get stronger. cause mr bennet is doing something to make them more powerful. like he said he was helping eden focus on her powers and make them stronger.

wonder if linderman, the bomb, and save the cheerleader save the world are connected. seems strange 2 of the 3 mysteries have basically been solved by mid season.
