Hiro interacts with Kaito, a very strict and traditional Japanese business man. Meredith, a trashy blonde from Texas makes her first appearance of 3 episodes. Someone meets with Dr. Withers, a sympathetic psychiatrist; she'll be in two episodes. A dishonest plumber takes pleasure in ripping off his customers.
Star Trek's George Takai will be joining Heroes as Hiro's father! Could he be Kaito, the very strict and traditional Japanese business man mentioned in our spoilers below? Episode 13 will also feature a "deprogrammer" who is a tough and intimidating ex-Marine man

A little mixed about this deprogrammer. It sounds similar to what the Haitian does - memory reading, altering and wiping. I also want to see his backstory fleshed out more, esp. b4 we get other similar heroes on board.

The psychatrist sounds like someone Niki/Jessica could benefit from talking to. It'd be nice to get more answers about this whole alter-ego dilemma!

I kind of like the idea that Hiro will have to start facing attacks against him.

01/18 - [George] Takei's character is a stern, traditional figure, who disapproves of his son's quest to become a hero, he said. "I'm a powerful industrialist. We come from a very distinguished family. And old-line family. I was brought up that way, and I thought I would bring up my son that way. But I'm discovering that there are strange things happening." One of the biggest challenges, Takei said, is that he has had to perform all of his scenes in Japanese. Source: Sci Fi Wire

I noticed in the Episodic Images for Chapter 13 : The Fix (http://herosite.net/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=23&page=1) that Claire and Zach seem to be sitting in a diner that looks like the Burnt Toast. I could be wrong, but Heroes seems to be full of coincidences like this.
Could it be Claire’s birth mother is linked some way to the burnt toast and/or Charlie?
Or am I just reading to much into it?

Claire finds her birth mother, and also finds out the identity of her birth father. He is someone we are ALREADY familiar with.
Is there a good chance they will try to throw us a for a loop, and make H.R.G. her ACTUAL father as well?

01/29 - George Takei reveals: Mr. Nakamura, who is one of the world's wealthiest men, arrives with his bodyguards in a $450,000 car. He wants to bring his irresponsible son back to Japan. Hiro has mysteriously vanished to the United States, and that is intolerable! He has a need for appropriate defenses because there are evil people in the world — people who will kidnap rich men, or their children, and hold them for ransom. My character is very old school and believes in learning the business from the bottom up. He was brought up that way by his father, and he wants his son raised that way, too. That is why, when the series began, you first saw Hiro working in a cubicle. The Nakamuras are members of a long and very important Japanese dynasty. In ancient times we were in the shogun class. An old powerful family of the Japanese aristocracy would certainly have family treasures, and that could include a sword.... Only samurai were allowed to carry swords, and the upper echelon had the best of the swords, so therefore they became heirlooms. Source: TV Guide Online
