So far this season, in regards to Clark, and any superpowered entity, clark is basicaly been demoted to grade a wuss. Let's check the tally:
Zod lands 6 plus punches on clark with a super rag doll through against him
the vine chick beats clark down, no punches from him
Baern blasts clark only to get sucked into to the kryptonian wishmaster stone( no punches)
And Batista(did he have a zoner name?) we'll call him bone-eater, handed clark his a@@!
What are the writers doing? Can clark only beatdown Green Arrow, and meteor freaks?

LOL!!! This is so true! Superman is not so super after all :P
I think the writers are trying to end up the series as fast as possible. The Lexana thing, the fact that Clark doesnt do anything and the lack of development with the man he is going to be. This is really starting to piss me off! This is surely the last season of SV!

I was really hoping he would atleast get a couple of punches in. I don't understand why they can't have him fight just a little. I mean they go through all this set up to have a conflict and then don't have him fight. How can they think we won't notice Clark isn't fighting back.

I kinda like that the only time I've seen Clark punch was when he lost his powers and started to beat the crap outta Lex last season.
In action films/shows, punching can symbolize uncontrolling anger. Seeing how Clark never means to hurt anyone, it only makes sense that he doesnt punch but instead aims to throw people in hopes of knocking them out from the powerful force in his strength.

Every incarnation of superman since the 40's has thrown punches and kicked a@@, both human, alien, and superhuman! Until our clark. Hey I love the show like everyone else, but this is getting pathetic. It's like, they want him to be the super red cross, saving lives, which is cool, but he's got to drop some pimp slaps, drop kicks, pulled punches, give a few sun burns with his heat vision, etc. . Someone posted in another thread, what happened to superbreath? he could have waylayed the bone-eater with a combination of heat vision and superbreath, both powerful weapons. Now if the bone eater would have walked through that salvo, it would have given a clear understanding of just how powerful he was. But the cheap back burn by the mm, while invisble further makes this future superman not look super whatsoever, as it seems he can't handle these challenges alone. He should've just done his training 1st, and then went after the zoners!

I think the writers are trying to show that Clark has to realize he's a part of a bigger league of people with abilities that use them for fighting crime. I think it was cool for another hero to save Clark for a change.

Well technically he did "throw" a punch, but Batista grabbed his fist. He was just too powerful, but I see what you mean, he hasn't done much to his enemies.
