This scene made me think of Lexmas and how Lana was thanking Clark from saving her from a plastic X-mas with her aunt. There were lots of people at the house and there was a sense of togetherness. In contrast, the scene at thanksgiving I feel showed the consequences of her choice to be with Lex, and how she's lost that family like atmosphere she had with Clark. The distance between her and Lex was very telling. It is kind of depressing how all of her good friends are having a great time at Clark's and she's alone with Lex in some big empty mansion. She's really isolated herself from her friends. On the other hand, is it Lex alienating her from her friends?

^I love the comparison to Lexmas. It's interesting that he rejected that path and still has Lana and a baby on the way... but not at all in the wonderful way it was in Lexmas. Golden hue... I wonder if Lex is so far gone that he can't see the difference.

I'm really happy that Lana has bridged the gap with Chloe. So I would have agreed with you a few episodes ago and definitely at the end of Season 5 that Lana was alienating herself from her friends. Not anymore.

It's not like it was Lana's choice to lose that family feeling she had with Clark and his family.

Clark kind of ended that for her by telling her he no longer loved her.

Lana wanting to be friends with him and being willing to have family dinners with him and Martha at the Kent house after that heart ache is really unrealistic, even for Smallville.

I mean regardless how good friends Chloe and Lana may be, Chloe will always choose Clark friendship before Lana’s.

Lana is an outsider to that little click that were at the Kent’s dinner table, due to being in the outs with Clark, again something that happened due Clark’s choices with his relationship with her.

Basically Lana been kicked out of the clubhouse. :\

When Clark and Lana talked about regrets, I bet one of them had to be wishing they had never taking themselves so seriously when they were young.
