Anyone else "surprised" to see Lana pout about something again and snit about how she doesn't need to be protected by anyone?

So????
She's an adult. Lex TOLD her she couldn't work for a chairty that she was interested in. Why can't she be mad about that?

What's wrong with Lana saying she doesn't need to be protected by anyone. She can't win for losing; either she's too needy or when she asserts her independence, she's pouting.

I mean seriously. Would any of you take nicely to someone trying to control your life and what you want to do with it? No, don't really think so.

Considering that Lana can barely walk without tripping and falling down and getting a concussion, yes, Lana, I do think you need to be protected.

There's a little bit of a difference because Lex is running her life, no?

I agree. I'd be mad too. I just don't understand why she walked away from that. No, no, no. She should STILL be arguing with him. Who does he think he is, telling her what to do? Oh, that's right...His Royal Baldness strikes again. Good grief, no wonder he can't keep a woman.

Yeah, she should have fought a little harder. I wouldn't have been pleased if someone had said that to me.

She thought something was fishy, so didn't argue... that's what the whole thing with Chloe was. But then the fainting thing sort of took precedence...

I have not seen the epoisde yet my brother taped it for me I'll see it this weekend. Now saying that I will say this with as much respect for CCG and Lana fans so please dont take this as a slame its not ment to be.
If she is doing what she did in the past with Clark and every other guy in her life though she may be making a vaild point she is using the wrong tone of voice. Honestly if LEX did all everyone says he did she has a right to be ticked and let him and the universe know about it. However what always turns her standing from justified anger to whiney princess whos voice is like nails on a chalk board.
I dont know if thats how she wants to handle the secene or how she is directed to handle it but no matter right she is her tone makes cliam all wrong. I dont think this is right but unless they change it her complaints will always make some want to take out an ak and shoot her to stop the headach of voice quailty.
In the end its not what she says its how she is saying it which really should be changed becasue KK desevers respect for the great work she does. Ok you guys can kill me now if you feel like it.

Okay, I get that. However, that was a mistake IMO because she should have had the guts to stand up to him right there in his face. All this sneaking around behind the back stuff is unnecessary drama. Lex needs a finger in his face and someone telling him what HE'S gonna do, if he wants any more lovin'.:D

If Lana really wanted to work at that place she didn't need Lex's permission. She could have just gone ahead and done it. Why didn't she?

But... that's not Lana. It really isn't. She did the same thing with the box... they're lke the old cartoon- she's sneaking behind his back, and him behind hers, until they're really sneaking in a circle, getting nowhere. And that's not likely to change, especially with her strange(?) reaction to being pregnant. Really, I thought from the way she was acting, she was dying.

No I loved Lana in this episode, besides that is classic Lana behavoir.
What gets me is that Lex is suposed to have no say in her life yet she can go on and make demands in his.

I know.:\ I keep WAITING for her to stick up for herself and she never does. That is why she will always need help and that sucks.
Clark was thinking he wish he could have went back in time an didnt waste his time saving her @$$ about a billion times.. Some day the BDA will get over her.

On top of that, it's not just one person. Everybody on that show has said to Lana at one point or another "I'm just trying to protect you".

What I don't get is....why is Lana still with Lex? Why is she even consulting him about this stuff? Its so obvious that she isn't in love with the guy. She's looking freaking miserable. Their relationship is cold, distant and full of mistrust. I don't BLAME Lana for this...but why is she still in it? I don't get her.

Because Al/Miles want it this way.......Or because of spite toward Clark.......

She stuck with Clark for a while too. Maybe she's a fighter and doesn't like to give up easily. I can't think of a time/situation that she just gave up. She always fights. Seems logical to me that her state of mind in physical situations should apply to emotional situations (ie. relationships) as well.

But with Clark, you actually believed that she loved him. Truly loved him. Even with Jason, you thought she loved him. With Lex, its like she doesn't even like him.

I'll tell you why Lana is with Lex. It's because TPTB love to create endless amounts of angst and because they can't have a Lex Luthor on this show who can operate without Lana. This whole storyline is so contrived and it is now effecting all of the Clark/Lex scenes. Every single one of them is about Lana, and TPTB love this because it's easy to write Clark/Lex scenes when they can just keep throwing Lana into the discussion to create the angst and intensity that they want. No creativity needed, just throw Lana in and presto, you have a Clark/Lex scene. Bottom line is that you just can't analyze Lana's character anymore. She's just being used to create tension between Clark and Lex, nothing more.

Lana never gave up on Clark, because she loved him and wanted it to work desparately. With Lex, it looks like Lana is playing a game with him, which she has no clues what she's trying to win.

I don't know... I think after this episode, Lex deserves that moniker... or Lois.
Lex should have been able to figure out that something was wrong.
Lois should have been able to figure out that GA was Ollie.
