Did anyone else catch that when Oliver said he wanted to make a boxing glove arrow but he needed to be more creative. Hi-Larious. It's even funnier because I picked up Justice League Unlimted and the very first episode has Green Arrow using that arrow. Man talk about great stuff.

Very funny. I like the reference to his arrows. I also like how they thru in Gotham City with Ollies friend. Also if I'm not mistaken, the name of the school, 'Excelsior', is a reference to Stan Lee at Marvel. Isn't that what he used to put in his comics.

Sometimes Stan puts Excelsior in his comics but yeah I immediately thought Stan Lee once I saw the name of the school :).

If one looked at the ep where Clark finds out Ollie is Green Arrow - the arrow he uses to disable the green lights is the same arrow he used to rescue the Justice League members - have to go to the retro comics

i never read the comics so i wanted to see it! he should have made one! people said it would have been stupid, but it would have been a lot more interesting than the "electrical wave blocker" jeez, what is the sfx team doin' nowadays?

Okay, thanks for mentioning this, I don't know much about Green Arrow's comic mythology.

I did like his "be more creative" line the way he said it.

And Clark's "I am laughing on the inside".. Tom delivered it with a flat face so wonderfully.. and he looked darn cute too..

I loved their banter.

Yeah, back in the 60s (a wild and crazy time for comics fans, known to use as The Silver Age) Ollie had all kinds of trick arrows that he used (they continued to be used off and on beyond the 60s but the wacky arrows were a true staple of the Silver Age). From Boxing Arrrows to Mirror Arrows to Parachute Arrows, he had an Arrow for everything. I think they tried to turn his quiver into Batman's utility belt.


And I agree, Tom did a great deadpan face in that scene! It was very "superman" of him.

Nowadays, he almost always uses just regular (green) arrows.
