who saw potential future Chloe/Clark references from the writers?!? Maybe it's the therapist in my reading too much into things. But when Ollie and Clark are talking....and Ollie says, "It's ok Clark...we all make mistakes, as long as we learn from them and don't make the same mistakes in the future." Then CHLOE walks in! haha...who knows, maybe i want Chlark so bad I'm making it happen....but i definitely thought that was the writers attempt to allude to a future for Chloe and Clark. Like Clark needs to stop worrying about dumping Lana, and not make the same mistake with Chloe! ;).

no...see I'm thinking what he meant by "making mistakes" was letting Lana go in the first place, and he shouldn't make the same mistake with Chloe!! haha...but yea, it's most likely all in my head. Oh Well! :)

Well, it couldn't be Lois -- she's his future. She's not a mistake he's made yet & when he finally finds her they end up getting married. But that's my inner Clois talking. ;)
Seriously, though? I don't think Oliver was talking about women. Since it was one superhero talking to another superhero, I'd like to think that his meaning was deeper than just advice on relationships. Especially since the mistake Oliver was referring to had nothing to do with women -- and I think Clark's reference was more about the Kashmiri village that had been affected by the "Zoner" and other things like that.

I think it wasnt about ships either, it would have been out of context completely.

I TOTALLY AGREE with the Originator of the thread.. BUT THAT whole thing was directed toward CLOIS to me because it is like he said it at the right time and then CHLOE walks right in, but even before she walked right in CLARK tells him that sorry line about "well sometimes you have to keep secrets from the ones you love" that caught me off guard and I got mixed up because Chloe already KNOWS his secret so maybe it was directed towards the CLOIS ship

I respectfully (and unfortunately:p) disagree, Im a Cloiser but as much as I would want that to have been about her, it wasnt IMO, it wasnt ship related.

I TOTALLY got that impression as well! Yeah, I think the writers were alluding to something, like in that episode when Martha says, "Maybe another woman will come along who's even better for you than Lana," and Clark says, "I can't imagine loving anyone besides Lana," and then Lois pulls up. I love when they do stuff like that.
But, maybe it's just there to get us excited and nothing will come of it (at least with Chloe). We'll see. Personally, I like Chloe and Clark just being best friends, but either way would probably work as long as they keep Chloe's character the same and make it basically angst-free.

I love the end scene of Aqua where Lois is crying about how she'll never find a man as great as AC and Clark responds with a "Lois I promise someday, you'll meet someone even more special". Had me reeling!
I kind of got that feeling as well BUT we all saw how things went with that girl who could teleport, (forgot her name) and how things fell apart for Clark and her. There's no longer any mystery or suspense or drama between Clark and Chloe. The whole wanting a relationship thing was played out in the past seasons. The show is drama people! What carried the show for so long was Clark's infatuation with Lana. Now, something else has to come along. Sorry Chloe fans but since this season began, I've come to tire of Chloe because there's no character developement with her anymore. She knows his secret and her feelings for him have greatly subsided compared to seasons past.

Agreed, it wasn't about women, it's about things with Jor-El and Zod. But I just had to say it:p

I felt I was decked in the head with this as well. I mean I love all of the little and big foreshadowing. And what sucks is that our little Clarky still has no clue. With all of his giftsand superstrength, he is still stuck in the undertoe of the raging waters of TPTB and his eventual fate.

You know that's funny, because I would have never thought of that. BUT now that I think about it, Chloe walks in just as Ollie says that  I really do HOPE that the writers were forshadowing a CHLARK ROMANCE;) MAYBE Clark will realize that the "GIRL OF HIS DREAMS" was standing in front of him ALL of this time, but he just didn't see her, because he had his "LANA BLINDERS" on. The "mistakes" that Ollie was referring to might have been in reference to a past relationship (CLANA MISTAKE).
Of course, now I think that there may be something brewing between CHLOLLIE, and you know how we ALL LOVE NEW SHIPS AND TRIANGLES. . . dodges from the rotten tomatoes :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I thought that was a clear reference to Vessel and his failure with "sacrifice the vessel".
I also thought that was another reference to the Clana breakup.

Seemed like an Ollie/Chloe anvil to me, lol. We all know Oliver doesn't get Lois and Clark doesn't get Chloe and Jimmy/Chloe don't seem to be together in the future.... so how about Chloe and Ollie running off together? He's a good guy, if you can look past his picking on weaker kids and the nasty klepto habit... Well it's better than her dying or going crazy!

100% agree.. I think in time Clark will realize Chloe was the one that got away because he was too stupid.. maybe we are reading too much into it but it was pretty obvious..
And I DO NOT think it meant Lois..
