Well, krypto sort of was IMO the first

Really? I thought it started as early as "Gone". When they investigated Chloe's disappearance. There was even a deleted scene where Chloe asks them how much time they'd been spending together & they answer (in unison) "too much!!"

*sigh* Season 4 Clois -- I miss it.

Guess your right, but Krypto was the first when they do stuff like LnC would do like sneaking into an office together and still bickering while they were at it. Not just sitting down with files and stuff to research.

This was one of my favorite parts of the episode. It was just so cool how Lois wanted to go for the story, Clark warned her to be careful, and then she does just as well as he does, ending up at the hospital where Duncan is all on her own. It was awesome. And then the "That is so...retarded." comment made it all the more better. Great episode, one of the best. :)

Yeah, it was well done.
I liked it when he had to point out the right door to her, in the hospital, hehe...

Yeah, typical Lois, smart and yet, can't see the forest from the trees.

They are finally developing Lois to where she needs to be, there is a god!

That's true -- it's a great way to describe Lois.

I love Clark when he's with her -- he's so funny and he smiles a lot.

I loved the part where she tries to open the door (instead of him) and can't do it. When she goes to "flirt up a set of keys" he's breaks the knob & says (with a smug look) "it must have been stuck." I love that her response is, "ladies first...."

No, their not. To do that, they should have started her in from the beginning. SHe should never have quit the TOrch and she should have worked her way up the hard way like Chloe. This is just more lightswitching and nonsense. She's no Lois. Everytime they put ED and TW together it's painfully apparent they have no chemistry and last night was no exception. I could have fingured out where this kid was and I'm no Lois Lane.

If they have to reduce Chloe's screentime so Lois doesn't look so bad and unrealsitic then this woman is no Lois in any way. It was boring and awful and in her scene with Clark, after he saves the day, far from giving him many credit or being nice to him in any way, she disses him, calling him retarded. Lois Lane? Not a chance in Hell.

Anyone notice how when Duncan flat lined, Clark was no where to be seen, and how it alluded to the future when Clark is superman, and is always never there when things happen? I thought that was funny how they alluded to that yesterday.

Lois didn't know Clark saved the day. Which is actually very similar to canon Lois -- canon Lois never knows that Clark saved the day, either.

And, imo, Clark/Lois (Erica and Tom) have great chemistry together & I love their scenes. I find episodes where Lois isn't there to be quite painful.

*shrugs* To each their own, I guess. That's why they have all the different characters... to satisfy the different viewers.

And I agree with you -- they should have started Lois sooner on the path to journalism. They wanted to, but DC wouldn't let them. So when they were finally allowed to do it, it does seem to be a lightswitch move. But who she is now (in "Arrow" and "Reunion") is very much canon Lois. Her scenes were enjoyable & I'm having fun watching her with Clark and Ollie this season.

And BTW she didnt call him retarded...she said keeping secrets from the people you love is retarded.

I was surprised that when lois said, I am going for keys, clark called her back and said hey it was open. like clark could have not called her back.

It's a good thing he did -- she's the one who figured out what was going on (because she'd read the article in the "Inquisitor".)

I also loved the line where Lois says, "I'm not doctor, but I think those squiggly lines means that there's definite brain activity" or something like that. I loved that she called them "squiggly lines".... there were some great lines in this ep.

Yeah, that was a great line, like it was awesome!! Probably gonna be used for giving her some big award like an Emmy, or an Oscar or a Raspberry or something.

Lines like those will live forever in TV history. Awesome, freaking awesome!

 Yeah, that line cracked me up, too. Lois has a unique flair for understatement, overstatement, and everything in between. ;) Some people don't appreciate her sense of humor, but I certainly do. :)

That line also reminded me of how different Lois and Chloe are. If it were Chloe in that scene you just know the writers would have had her read all the medical equipment and charts like a seasoned physician (like she did in that "Wither" episode). LOL, Lois may not be the brainiac that Chloe is, but I prefer Lois's smart-a%$ comments to techno-babble anyways. ;)

I loved their investigating together part, it was like seeing the future Lane and Kent in the making, and the cute and funny chemistry that Tom and Erica have made it even more fun to watch!

The line that Clark says to Lois "It's your story" something like that it was so hillarious.

Also Clark pointing the door to Lois was cute too. I think that is the fun of bringing Lois and Clark together, they work and they have fun, just like Gone and Krypto...

"I don't share my bylines"

Well, sorry Ms. Lane, you'll be sharing your bylines with Clark Kent a lot in the future!

Lois and Clark.. always a treat to watch!

Secondly, did anyone notice that the scene in hospital outside Lana's room was also very great and it was a foreshadowing of Clark and Lois's future when Lois consoles Clark/Superman when he is feeling responsible for something. I felt that scene was so much comic book like... Lois comforting Clark in her usual playful manner and telling him not to take blame for things he is not responsible for...

Truly awesome stuff!

So true.

I liked how they didn't turn her all unrealistic medical expert. I do like Lois's take on things and her commentary much better.

every episode ive been watching with excitemnt and anticipation hoping there will be some hints for Clois ..i loved the 'Zod' hospital scene but the other episode has been quite boring and i just dont like any other guy around Lois ..get out Green Dude !go back to aquaman series ...if there is anymore. Lois in season 4 was better ..i liked the scenes like 'gone' facade' 'devoted' now it looks like she will go after anyone who compliments her! yes i know they have to make her like the lois lane of comic book and movie. I would like to see Lois showing some feelings towards Clark aswell ..or hints . The show is like batman or something now...it looks to comical ...i want SV back like before .

TVK - your avy reminds me of the good days of SV and the Lois i love... :) :)

The show is about comics so it will lead to the comics story, and don't worry.. leading to comic book mythos means that you will get your Clois very soon...;)

TVK, I loved the "That's my job" line.. it is even a foreshadowing of the future that consoling Clark is Lois's job.. no matter in what way she does it..

Didn't you find it interesting that Clark comes to see Lana and Lois is there to console him after Lex slams the door on him.. it is like he walks away from the woman who gave her nothing but pain to towards the woman who will become his true soulmate..

Clark couldnt figure out by himself where the kid was, A kryptonian superior intelect couldnt figure it out, hmmm maybe he is not Clark, I mean it is so anti Iconic that Clark is this dumb.

Clark would have ended up nowhere withtout Lionels info, Clark didnt figure out were the kid was, he was told, if it wasnt for Lois, Clark wouldnt even have suspected it was related to Duncan.

And if Lois should have stayed in the torch then lets also say that Clark should have supersped Lana to the hospital and then to the caves to teleport to the FOS in Arrival and by now he should be halfway around the world trying to find a place for Kal el in the world and anonimously saving people around the world but instead he is the reluctant hero of a small town who´s only wish is to be "normal" what ever that means.

Lex should be evil by now and not whining about why daddy didnt love him and having girls like Lana as one night stands and dissing them out as trash latter, not falling in love with them and sharing his semi evil plans with her.

Could it be, maybe, and I could be wrong here, but could it be that since this is a begining and a journey story, things being as they should right now could be counterproductive, i mean if Lois was working in the DP and Clark was saving people around the world, and Lex was working in an L figured building seling weapons, would take SV´s sense and purpose away, I mean if Lex, Clark and Lois were alreadyl their Iconic selves, where would the begining and journeys would be???

All right then, Lets have Lois be all righteous and leaving the Inquisitor and joining the DP to give the truth to all, Lex killing his dad and becoming completely evil and Clark doning the suit to save the world and just wrap up the show by january.

My point being If this charaters were their Iconic selves the show, would have no point, I mean once Clark dons the suit, what else is left for series to show us, if Lex became evil and moved to Metropolis what else about Lex´s begining story, If Lois was already in the DP,what else coudl they show us in the series. The answer to all the above is the same, nothing, thats why Lex is all cuddly with Lana instead of being completely evil (like Iconic Lex) thats why Clark has internal strugles about his powers and the right thing to do instead of donning a suit (like Iconic Clark) and thats why Lois is writting crappy sensationalist articles instead of writing pulitzer exposés for the DP (like Iconic Lois), cause once they do, the show, being a begining show, hits the end wall.

^^ Exactly! Smallville is not about icons.. it is about making of icons..

And seriously, I never get when Chloe's fans compare Lois to Chloe or vice versa. They are both entirely different people with entirely different approaches to everything.

If Lois was shown from S1 and working in Torch making her way up, then mind you, there would be no Chloe at all, they only needed Chloe to show Clark's interest in journalism, if they had brought the real reporter from day one.. Chloe won't be there at all..

Even now, all the comparisons to Chloe don't make sense.. Lois is simply so different and has so much more than just being a journalist.. she is the woman Clark will fall in love with.. and not just because she is a reporter..

I think their teaming up was an excellent thing to show their future dynamics when they will work together as reporters. And they both figured out things on themselves.. no one acted dumb.. both had leads to follow and they did field work to reach their destinations.. it was amazing!
