They've been doing that on a lot of tv shows and movies. It's getting really old.

yeah, but I think the one on nip/tuck was better since it was a bus that hit the babysitter. I think it was just a regular car that hit Duncan in this episode.

No way the best is the girl getting hit by the bus in Final Destination.

You just do not see that one coming!

Lost executed it brilliantly in season 1. The character of Michael was on the phone in NYC in a flashback and as soon as he hung up the phone, he walked into the street and then boom...he broke a couple of legs instead of dying because the car wasn't driving that fast but the way it was executed, you didn't see it coming. With Smallville last night, you knew that Duncan was getting hit 5 seconds before it happened.

The girl getting hit last season was kind of funny too....I think the whole getting mowed over by cars is quite entertaining at times.
