Lana will never be Lex's equal. She just doesn't have what it takes to be that good at anything. No one thing holds her attention long enough. And besides, she changes her mind and opinion on things as often as the weather changes.

Lex may have treated someone like Lana treated that Dr. -- on a rare occasion, but that person(s) he blackmailed were pretty bad people themselves. Besides, Lex has major reasons - a lifetime of reasons to be nearing the darkside. Lana does not. She has always been loved, pampered, coddled and had everything from everyone. So yes, Lana is looking much more 'evil' to me than Lex is. Lana went overboard. She is looking bad, but aside from maybe Season 1 - she hasn't always looked too good either.

(On a side note, I do prefer KK's acting when she is acting 'evil'. But that is beside the point.)

However, I still feel like laughing about the "Lana being Lex's equal" line. That's ridiculous... and hilarious. Lana is not Lex's equal. Heck, she's not anyone's equal on this show. I won't even insult Shelby's intelligence and character to say Lana is his equal. lol Nope - Lana is in a league all her own. A leage way, way, below...

I disagree that Lana is now evil. Watch her before and after the blackmail. She's really scared and nervous... and I think she's surprised that the doctor bought it.

I'm hoping that she IS Lex's equal though... just not in the way that he thinks.

I like Lana being more proactive and badass myself. I don't really want to see her as Lex's evil protege/concubine though. I'd instead like to see her become darker and stronger and more independent in her own right, and not just because she's so weak that Lex can easily lead her astray.

I don't think she is his equal right now, but if she keeps up this attitude, I can see her becoming this person.

I hope this new attitude leads her to actually figuring what is going on in the Smallville world. She needs to figure out who Lex and Clark really are.
