Were you surprised there was no mention of Lana's Injury?

I was surprised that the bandage wasn't larger.
Since they bothered to remember the wound, they should have thought about or at least explained why she hasn't had surgery.

Hmm... maybe that explains why Lana wasn't too excited about lex being abducted (again). She was sedated.

She should have had a cast on or at least a brace. That injury would have crushed her ring and middle finger bones inside her hand. (I don't remember what they are called) lol  For some reason I was surprised they would just make no mention of her injury. :(

I was more surprised to even see a bandage. Can you believe it? I wasn't even expecting one.

There was a bandage still on her hand no matter how small and that's more then I though we'd get.

Lana was sure using his hand like there was nothign wrong, I mean I get a deep cut on my hand and I'm holding it back so I don't touch it and hurt it.

I wasn't that all surprized because this is Smallville, usually when someone gets hurt one day, the next day it's as if nothing happened

I wasn't surprised at all. Lana only had a bandage and Lois, who had to be hospitalized after the plane crash in ZOD, was jogging great distances. Any injury in the Smallville world requires minimal recovery time.

It didn't even come to my mind... I guess, subconsciously my mind is aware that injuries are super-healing in Smallville

we got some continuity with "Black Thursday" and lost some continuity that Lana now has healing powers of Wolverine.

Its how Smallville works baby... super-healing... maybe this is a consequence of the first meteor shower!

I know what happened. Lex called in a team of specialists from Metropolis to perform a new "I just got stabbed through the hand and it hurts like hell but oh look a new meteor rock laser that actually rebuilds my skin" surgery, and wha la! Just need a little bandage for her hand.

I was surprised she had a bandage on. Very surprised.

Ummm, I dont know about you guys, but when I hurt myself I don't go around talking about it 24/7, weeks after it happened. So I'm glad that they didn't 'mention' it. Also, have y'all forgotten about Lana breaking her leg when the horse jumped on it? They carried that out for like what, 3-4 episodes? They even mentioned her being in the hospital/rehab all summer. It seems like they did a fairly decent job with that. The writers/directors of smallville dont ALWAYS injure people and forget.

About Lois, she probably had a small case of hypothermia and maybe a concussion. Both thing you can recover from in a relatively short period of time. I saw no problem with her running.

Plus from what I gleamed from the news report is that it has been some time(not sure how long) since Dark Thursday, so mabye the surgery/recovery that Lana and Lois had to under go has taken place inbetween Zod and Sneeze.

While I voted yes, it IS SV after all as others have said.

Man, I've had surgery and months later was still recovering. Lana gets wasted through the hand and is ready for a piano concerto in no time.

Continuity? What's that?

Atleast she had a bandage on her hand. If this was season 4 she would be totally healed.

You guys remember when Bo Kent got shot in the leg in Onyx and then in the next ep he was fine. Or when he fell down a flight of stairs in Spirit I think and he was totally fine.

I think it's tarsals & meta-tarsals (not 100% sure). I wonder if something like that would ever heal completely or even partially? I think her hand would need reconstructive surgery to be functioning normally again.

I screwed up my elbow (cut it pretty badly) mountain biking a few years ago and it took a very long time (about a year) to heal to the level it's at today. Something like that would either never heal or take years.

I wasn't surprised because, as others have said, Smallville's continuity isn't the best. I am also surprised they even had a bandage on it.

well we didn't see her hand right away, and i thought to myself, "i could totally see her not even having a bandage on her hand". to someone's credit, lord knows who peeped up about it (i guarantee it wasn't KK), they did have it at least bandaged up. the fact that it was bandaged up, and that we have to realize it is a tv show and that some fair amount time has passed, i was able to accept this.

I agree.I voted yes and showing her playing piano was way too fast for my taste too.

Martha Kent recovered from a *broken leg* in Season 5... in one episode. This was nothing, heh.

Ya know.. if...

IF its been more than a week or two since "dark thursday" and

IF she had been really lucky in the way the spike was driven in and

IF .... the bandage hadn't disappeared after the first scene - I would have more to say.
