Is anyone else perplexed by why whenever it looks like Clark is interested in Chloe she sends him away? She did that in the 2nd season and now she has done it again. Chlark is becoming as frustrating as Clana...

It's truly frustrating! Grrr!!! Even the writers love Chlark, so why can it not happen?!?

She now has Jimmy, so she is going to make Clark work for it if he wants it.

I love Chlark, but I love Clark going through what Chloe has been for the last 5 seasons even more! Plus I did like the chimmy chemistry...she looked truely happy for once.

It's supposed to show that the tide is finally turning when it comes to Chloe and now Clark is going to connect with Lois down the road.

it shows that clark will be alone, notice the whole time they were standin their he looked out of place. But yea the way she did it was funny tho,she sly way brushed it off cause clark brought it up(The same as he did wit lana)but chloe just smiled it off like don't worry I wasn't expectin to start a relationship wit u or anythin. As if she just knew clark would shoot her down,it makes me kind of feel like she leans toward jimmy cause he's available.Which is why I think they'll explore the relationship late in the season

The second season she wanted him but was putting up a defense barrier because she sensed he wasn't into him. Here, she already thought he's just not interested and has stolen a kiss at the end of the five finale because the world was about to end, just to get that special moment in. I dont believe she thinks he feels anything for her as its been too long, and so she never thought they had a chance in her head this episode either. The way I see it anyway.

Jimmy's an easy target, he'll be positively lapping at her heels. They'll have a nice little thing before she gets tired of him and then we'll get what we've wanted all this time, at least for a little while. This makes me wonder...will Chloe die at the end of the series? (don't stone me! I don't want that to happen!)

I guess Chloe is was really surprised to see Jimmy but I guess she move on too easy or just don't want to get in a relationship w/ Clark. I wasn't so happy when she cut Clark off when Clark was getting very interested on her. Man I guess this season we all won't be able 2 see Chlark again. :(

When it comes to my beloved Chlark, I increasingly feel like the proverbial cat who simply has to go after the ball of wool that AlMiles keep on dangling in front of my face. They are torturing me, but I just can't help it...

Chloe just sees Clark as unavailable and doesn't want a rebound relationship, it actually makes sense that she would act that way. I mean, he had Lana on the brain just a few eps before.

InLovewithChloe, let's hope for end of season.

She didn't send him away... She just told him she was ok. I don't think this is like it's been previously... where she really wants to say one thing but says another instead so she won't get hurt. She still loves him but she asserts that they are friends for Jimmy's sake. Giving Jimmy a green light and ample encouragement. She's not saying it for Clark or for her own protection as she has in the past. And the smiles she gives Jimmy... Clark's a little annoyed. And Clark's vibe wasn't, "so Chloe lets get this thing started IMO... it was... where do we stand/what was that about." Chloe stated it plain and I don't think she was lying this time.

Well if that is the case then I'm OK with it. I just thought her change of heart was a little sudden to be an honest one. However, this is Hollywood land so things happen fast.

I do agree that I don't necessarily think that Clark was totally in yet but I did get the impression the concept had finally entered his mind as a possibility. He was very different with her at the end there. When he asked he wasn't looking awkward and when she answered he didn't give the "Oh OK!" look. It was more of the "Really? Um... are you sure?" look. Also when she introduced Jimmy he didn't give him the "I'll punch your face if you get near her" look he usually gives guys who get near the women in his life. It was like he was being careful this time.

All in all I guess this could be a positive thing. If Clark gets with Chloe I wouldn't want it to be because it's the path of least resistance he should have to work for it a little. Besides it will be good for him to have some time to himself and Chloe to buid some relationship confidence she's worth it and she needs to realize it.

So anyway here's hoping you have the right of it Ginnyfan. :)

She may have stolen the kiss in the S5 finale, but she still wants/loves him. And she has a great defense (hmmm, maybe go out for NFL :) ?) But I'll bet her heart is breaking when she finds herself saying "...not like we would ever hook up or anything.."

BDA is SO freaking annoying. He doesn't want her, but seems like he doesn't want anybody else to have her, either. He seemed jealous at James' interest. Tough luck Kryptoboy, if you ever had the power to recognize a very, very fine woman who would be your best friend and lover, you would truly be a superman. His actions towards Chloe made me want him to stay in the PZ.

Agree she knows he's not available quite yet and doesn't want to be a rebound.Yet I also kind of agree wit ginnyfan, she also said what she said to reassure jimmy that he had the greenlight to pursue her.I think that scene can be takin many wayz...She gave clark time to respond he didn't so she gave jimmy the go ahead,it was obvious both were into the kiss and wanted more. Its just 1 was slow on respondin(Smh at clark sumtimes  ).Chloe realizes that jimmy is here now,and that if now chlark were to hookup she still may not be a priority to him.So she did what she felt was safe, plus keepin their friendship intact.I can see clark goin to chloe this season sum and jimmy bein around he gets jealous and starts to handle things on his own cause he doesn't wanna be around them wit his conflictin feelings.Chloe on the other hand will think nothin of it cause she has sumone that likes her while still bein around the one she luvs.If jimmy notices the tension like last night in chlark thruout the season we'll have our own lil angst cause he'll kno she'll never luv him the same.So imo this is a good setup and less stressful triangle being formed, but we'll see how tptb slip in an annual kiss this yr.Or if they'll go the clark route late in the yr,I don't think its quite over yet for chlark just on the backburner for now.

I agree with you. I don't think Chloe was playing any games. She seemed to be clearly into Jimmy and wanted to pursue something with him. She didn't even think twice about accepting Jimmy's "vending machine" dinner offer & included Clark almost as an afterthought.

I will admit, though, that it seemed like Clark was going to go for it. That he was finally going to say, "let's do it" and he was taken aback when Chloe didn't want to because he takes her for granted. Not in an "I almost died and realized we have epic love" kind of way. More like a "hey, I thought about it and this might work this time. I swear I'm over Lana for good... maybe we're meant to be because you know my secret and you're my best friend" kind of a way.

But when Jimmy came in, I didn't get the "jealous' vibe. I got "confusion" more than anything. He doesn't know that Chloe and Jimmy have a past together & he definitely doesn't know that Chloe lost her virginity to the guy.

So it's natural that he'll be looking at Chloe and thinking, "what is wrong with her? The world almost ended and she's flirting with a guy she just met? Why isn't she all over me and finding out how I defeated Zod? Did she just laugh? Chloe knows how to laugh? That's crazy...."

I think that, ultimately, he'll be happy for Chloe and realize that he and Chloe aren't meant to be. That's the sense I got from that exchange, anyway. And good for Chloe -- I'm glad she's taking up Jimmy's offer on the "vending machine" dinner. That girl deserves a guy that'll chase after her for a change.

I don't think Chloe was really teasing Clark at all.. I didn't interpret it that way.. it seemed to me that Chloe has been so hurt by Clark so many times.. just about every time she puts her heart on the line, he pulls the friendship card or the I-don't-feel-that-way-about-you card and it seems that Chloe was protecting herself from him doing it to her.. she just said that to him because she was scared of his rejection.. to me, he looked absolutely crestfallen when she said it though so I would love to see a jealous Clark over Chloe/Jimmy with an outcome of CHLARK of course!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is it possible she was making Clark jealous? She knows Lana could never get Clark to commit, so maybe she wants to put him to the test. Maybe she promised herself not to let herself get involved until she was sure of Clark's feelings toward her. (Once more Clark has failed the test. What a moron.)

If Jimmie is characterized as he usually is, he will be too immature and reckless to suit Chloe.
