I was kind of hoping for good Lionel to stick around, but I have a feeling his goodness had a lot more to do with Jor-El's influence than I had anticipated (much like his goodness just after Clark was in his body.) Lionel knowing Kryptonian will definitely shape up to be a great storyline, though!

I wonder if this will make Lionel a helpful asset or a threat to Clark.

He will use it to get closer to clark. He still wants Martha. This may be a fun story line.

I think he is going to be a major threat in the upcoming season. I just hope the don't kill the character he is so damn good!

very cool having lionel still involved this deep in superman mythology. lionel like it or not will become a "father figure" , yuck i know , but that is where i think they are heading this power.

I'm especially excited regarding Lionel this season. I've always loved the character, he's devious, an incredible actor, and every story line involving him is always intriguing. He just brings a sense of villanry and intelligence to the show, even when he's on his 'good behavior.' I'm not sure what the power spell out means, but I'm taking it to mean that now that Jor-El no longer has influence on him, he's thinking of power/Clark/etc. We'll see, it will be great either way!

Hmm, my preliminary guess is that this secret knowledge he has is going to eventually drive Lex to kill him. My uninformed prediction only, of course.

You know, this could simply be another example of Al/Miles misdirection. Maybe Good-Lionel still exists. They simply (conveniently) zoomed in on the time he translated that particular word. For all we know, he translated a hundred words that day. They chose give the “power” to think: “Oooohh … evil Lionel is back…”

Dude, I couldn't agree more. I knew Lionel was lying when he told Martha and Chloe that Jor-El had left him. Gotta wonder...

I think that Lionel will play both sides of the fence. He has be an ally of Clark's as of late and will continue be one particularly if it allows him to get closer to Martha. But he does have a ruthless side and a lust of power and will use the knowledge he has about Clark to his advantage. It will be interesting to see.

I think Lionel will become more of a threat to Lex and that will ultimately lead to Lionel and Lex having a HUGE showdown and Lex killing him towards the end of the season.
As for Lionel staying "good"? Hard to tell, as he is use to being in control, and I believe he still might be trying to figure out a way to USE Clark and the information he has to his own advantage.

I think "POWER" relates to the next episode of Sneeze, when Clark gets his super breath abilities.
