Now, wait a minute, there hasn't been any official statement that we will get to se a brand new opener! I mean Smallville isn't Angel, where you had a different opener every season...We probably get to see a sligthly altered version of the season 5 opener, namely Jimmy and Oliver will be added, while Jonathan will be removed, and that's it!
Unless, they wanted to keep it a secret and make a surprise out of, you know, new network, a few new actors, new opener etc.... A face lift for a show in it's last years!

well they always change the little clips in the backrounds to add stuff from the previous season and i think they will put in jimmy and just have a clip of the inside of the planet. nothing with him in it like jason in season 4 they just had the football field nothing else.

I love the new AM bit, tho I'm quite unhappy that they didn't use new cast shots. I would've love to see something like the new cast promo pics like in the KSite forum banner.

I was hoping for more new images too and I agree I think the pacing in season 5 creadits was better.

yeah that kinda sucked......but they still where okay.....but i guess people wont have as good as a response to it as last year because last year they where totally redone but this year it was just like they had done before...added new scence to the opening credit...but i still liked them.

For me the scenes were so short it didn't bother me, but I agree it is a bit annoying.

The new credits were pretty good. I'm not happy with the clana, either, and I was expecting Aaron Ashmore to be in there, too, but other than that they were great.

I thought they were mostly the same. There wasn't that much of an update. I was pretty disappointed in that. I also thought that Jimmy "James" or whatever his name will be, played by the Ashmore boy, would be in the credits. I guess he's just a guest star so far...

Uhh... I saw a few new shots and Jonathan Schneider's name gone from the credits, but aside from that I didn't really notice anything particularly superior or even that much different from last year's credits.

Same song, same graphics - even the same shots of the actors turning to face the camera when their names appear.

I still like them, I just don't get how they're "AWESOME" or "OMG SO COOL!". For the most part, we saw the same thing last year, sans the Zod/Clark fight - and there's about a second of that in there.

The new credits were... weird. I agree with those who stated the pacing was off, because it felt off. I liked some of the new scenes they put into the credits, though the Lexana kiss? Could've done without. :\

I think the opening credits were bad, they were just a rehaash of S5 with some new photos in some cases. i would have like to see something totally new for the credits.

Perhaps maybe TPTB will do a mid season renewel of the opening credits and add in the additional characters. I mean obviously the Jimmy Olsen character is there for keeps, as well as the Green Arrow. I am just as disappointed as everyone else that they just recycled 90% of the last seasons openers. Don't remember seeing much Daily Planet action there either, and we all know the Planet will be a set used much more often this season.

Despite what might have been said by the actor, I definitely think they are just trying out Jimmy for the time being but signed him on as a regular so they would be covered in case they wanted him in more episodes. I seriously doub't he'll be in the credits this season unless another spot is vacated (Lionel?).

It was great, more mature. I think that Olsen will be in the opening credits next week. I just think the creators wanted to keep it a surprise until then. If not, than that means he will be in the opening credits next season.

My complaint is that with the Zodana kiss from Vessel showing up each week, I will be predisposed to not like the act that follows in each subsequent episode. I went 4.5 months without that and it's still not long enough.

I wasn't expecting any major updates, that's why I thought it was awesome. Just a few new scenes from Season 5 and 6, but they were great scenes. Remember, we had virtually identical credits for four seasons before the "new" look, just with added scenes, so I wouldn't expect an update to the look, other than new scenes, any time soon.

Give her a break. Her character hasn't had as much time to develop as the others. She was just in high school only two seasons ago and her character hasn't had as much time to develop.
She isn't a reporter yet but she will be this season.

She looks good in a swimsuit and they put that in the credits. So what? It's just a bikini folks and it's only in the credits for a split second at the most. You act like you've never seen one before. Just because Lana and Chloe aren't willing to wear a two piece and Lois is, doesn't mean you have to continue to rake her over the coals. I'm so sick of the anti-Lois attitude around here. :rolleyes: I see a lot of depth already, epecially when she talks to Clark and Martha. That's enough for me, and it's only gonna get better this season. I thought this was a great place for fans of all the characters, especially Lois Lane who only happens to be the most important woman of Clark's future.

I guess I was wrong. I'm trying to focus on the good that is in the character and the potential for growth and there is so much there that is coming this season. All I ever see is negative (well not always but most of the time) and I'm just sick of it.:(

It leaves me with a negative vibe that I don't like.:mad:

They were basically the same season 5 credits with a few new scenes. It was ok but the completely unncessary scene of Clark and Lana in bed was an extreme wtf moment. Usually they throw in a romantic Clana scene but this was a little bad taste. Then to show Lana being intimate with Lex/Zod, begs the question what are they trying to tell us about her character?
