Alright here is the thread for episode 4 and I hope you guys'll enjoy this one as much as the others :).

But Act 1 is coming tomorrow though :). Sorry :D

But here is you synopsis gang :).

Synopsis: Drake must face his fear after a freak accident turns a simple student into something...dangerous. Also Drake must go to dinner with Becca and...her mother.
Meanwhile Rachel thinks about telling her father about her secret.
Shelly still thinks of her masked hero. And Jacob gets ready for the latest basketball game. And Evan Reeve might get a night to remember as a name is matched to the cross necklace he found.

ACT 1

INT. MACER SCIENCE LABS

Dr. Morgan finds Nathan Lee up a bit late with his spiders.

Dr. Morgan
Nathan I thought I saw the light on. How's it going?

Nathan turned the chair and he now faced Dr. Morgan.

Nathan
It's going alright but I think I discovered something. Look at these babies.

Then Nathan pointed toward a bigger glass tank filled with some spiders a bit lighter gray and crawling everywhere.

Dr. Morgan walked over and took a peek inside.

Dr. Morgan
They look like regular spiders to me.

Nathan(smiling)
Well watch when I add in this.

Then Nathan dropped a heavy chunk of concrete into the tank and the spider caught it!?

Dr. Morgan was in shock.

Dr. Morgan
Amazing... how did it...

Nathan cut her off.

Nathan
Well I found these things living near that old mine that was shut down in the 80's after that little chemical explosion over there. Anyway the spiders in that area seem to be changing in a bizarre way almost as if they're evolving.

Dr. Morgan(cutting in)
Or mutating. Well Nathan I better get going and I suggest you leave as well considering you have school in the morning.

Nathan
Alright but I hope I can still be involved in this Dual Enrollment course.

Dr. Morgan
Don't worry as long as you work hard here and at your school you get to keep this job. Well goodnight.

Then Dr. Morgan left the room shutting the door with a small groan.

Nathan turned back to his spiders and decided to clean up. But as he cleaned up he accidently drops the concrete peice he was about to put in and it cracked the spider tank.

Nathan though was still unaware and he was about to lock up the tank when suddenly he felt something on his arm. Something crawling.

Before he could scream all the spiders rushed out onto him.

Then he screamed in pain as each spider let loose it's venom into him and other more gruesome things.

But no one was there to hear him.

*Cut to opening credits,Shadow appears from a dark background(theme-Greg Jones's Ordinary)*

INT. CONRAD HOUSE

Drake Conrad walks downstairs on yet another seemingly normal day.

But as he got into the kitchen he saw his mom?!

But she was sipping some orange juice sickly.

Drake
Hey mom.

Alicia smiled back and waved at her son before going back to her orange juice for a second or two.

Drake
So cold or worse?

Alicia(smiling setting her juice down)
Cold. But you know how hectic my job is I'm just glad I get a little break. And it looks like I'm taking you to school today.

Drake
Dad left already?

Alicia
Yes I heard him muttering someting about essays.

Drake smiled and grabbed some milk out've the fridge and poured it into a glass and grabbed some toast and popped it in the toaster quick as a flash.

It was nice to have mom here it always made him feel a bit better like he could tell her everything.

But....should he tell her his deepest secret?

Yeah I have mild to moderate arachnophobia so it's not hard describing my scary mutant spiders :) also I hope you'll remember that hint with the closed down mine and the explosion :).

ACT 2

INT.CONRAD HOUSE

Drake struggles with himself should he tell his mom about his abilities? What would she think of him?

Drake(after he fininshed his toast)
Mom I have to tell you something......

Suddenly an alarm buzzes to life in the living room.

Alicia holds up her hand and peers at her watch.

Alicia
Well Drake you better go get ready for school we can talk later.

Drake nods and goes to his room to get ready.

Soon after Drake is back downstairs wearing some jeans and a gray short sleeved shirt and carrying his black backpack acorss his back.

Also it seemed he had decided to wear the other pair of shoes his dad had let him have since they had close to the same shoe size. They shoes were white and a little black as well. They were Nikes.


Drake found his mother waiting and it seemed she'd gotten dressed a bit she was wearing sandals and jeans and a pink rose colored shirt and her hair was done up in a ponytail.

Drake(smiling)
Mom you dress down quite nicely.

Alicia(smirking)
Thank you but please could you and your father lay off picking on me for awhile.

Drake
Sure mom,well shall we go?

Alicia
Lets.

And then Drake and his mother went outside to the van.


EXT. MACER LABS

Dr. Morgan walked toward the front door.

As she got inside she saw a few doors were unlocked?

Suddenly she heard something hit the floor she turned around. It had come from the.... Oh God Nathan!

She ran down the hall and soon came upon a door covered in a strange substance she touched it. It was sticky to the touch and her hand had gotten stuck for a few moments.

She was puzzled but backed up and saw the door was covered in...spider web.

Then she tried to open the door luckily it was unlocked.

But thousands of questions clouded the doctor's mind.

What the hell had happened here? Was Nathan involved? Or his spiders?

But her thoughts went away as she opened the door.

Inside she found more webs decorating the innards of the room and she found the broken remains of the case Nathan had kept his spiders in.

But was Nathan still here somewhere?

Suddenly something hit the ground making a nasty squelching like noise.

She turned and was face to face with a figure that was all gray.

Dr. Morgan
Wh...Who are you?

The figure answered her.

Nathan
Why I'm Nathan Dr. Morgan. Oh and here are the spiders.

Suddenly the figure deteriorated into millions of spiders.

Dr. Morgan was shocked and ran back to a table.

Dr. Morgan
My God Nathan what have those monsters done to you?

Nathan reformed into the gray hairy human like mass.

Nathan
Monsters... oh no they aren't the monsters I've learned that from these creatures you and these scientists here are the monsters.

Then Dr. Morgan grew very frightened and ran for the alarm in the room.

Nathan saw this though.

Nathan
But Dr. Morgan we know what we must do about monsters don't we.

Kill them.

But the doctor was too quick and the alarm was sounded but Nathan fired a web like net from his palm sending Dr. Morgan sprawling into a desk and knocking her out.

Then Nathan leapt to the ceiling and crawled out of the building into the city.

ACT 3

INT.CONRAD VAN-MORNING IN SENIOR PARKING LOT

Alicia slows the car down and parks it and she turns to Drake.

Alicia
Well I guess this is goodbye for now hon.
But what did you wanna tell me this morning?

Drake(brushing it off)
Oh...nothing mom I better get going I can see Jacob and Shelly from here.

Alicia
Well...alright but Drake you do know you can tell me anything no matter what right?

Drake(smiling)
Yeah mom I know.
Bye.

Then with a quick wave Drake gets out've the van and walks away to meet his friends.

Alicia looks at him leaving sadly and is soon driving away.

EXT. MILLTEN HIGH

Drake smiles as he sees Jacob and Shelly walking toward the office but he oculd see by there expressions they were bickering about something.

And soon when Drake got into ear shot he found out they were...well talking about him...or Shadow rather. Man Shelly must've spread that fast.

Shelly
Come on Jacob I saw him with my own two eyes he had red eyes and he was dressed in black and he wasn't a monster.

Jacob
Are you sure I mean vampires love to wear black and they have red eyes too ever think of that.

Then Shelly sighed throwing her hands up.

Drake(interrupting smirking)
Well you guys what are you two chatting about?

Jacob(turning to Drake)
Shelly is chatting about her hero again. But so far she's only told me about him.

Drake
Ah well then Shelly fill me in on this guy you suppossedly saw.

Shelly(getting a bit frustrated again)
For the last time I saw him with my own two eyes and you guys know I never drink,do drugs,or lie..for the most part so I must be telling the truth.

Drake(smiling)
Calm down I believe ya Shell I was just kidding.

Shelly(taking a breath and exhaling)
Okay well...it was along with that whole Freddie thing he'd wanted to kill me and he kidnapped me and then later on after I woke up he was about to when out've nowhere this guy dressed in black came and beat Freddie up and saved me. I....even kissed him.

Drake
Woah...you kissed him...why?

Shelly
I don't know he had a familiar feeling around him and...this is embarrassing but I....liked his eyes.

Drake
Okay well after your make-out session with...this guy what happened?

Shelly
I don't know he just vanished and I was escorted home by the police and I got home pretty late and then I went to bed. That was about it.

Jacob(cutting in)
Woah you didn't tell me about the kiss.

Shelly(smiling)
Well now you know.

Suddenly Drake heard footsteps and turned and saw Becca standing there.

Drake nodded at the others and the two walked forward.

Drake
Hey so did you decide on a night for me to meet your mom?

Becca(blushing a tad)
Yeah...tonight.

Drake(suprised)
Tonight! Doesn't that seem a bit...soon?

Becca
I know it's soon it's just I...I don't know I feel like this relationship would be better for both of us if you met my mom and if I met your parents sometime.

Drake
I know...but...

Suddenly Becca kissed him.

Drake
Well if you put it that way so tonight around.......

Becca
Seven and you can be a little late tonight but remember no more freebies.

Drake
I gotcha.

Then Drake and Becca start walking again toward the front office so they wouldn't have to seperate to their classes so soon.

Becca
So what were Shelly and Jacob talking about?

Drake
Oh something about Shelly's guardian angel or whatever.

Becca
Oh interesting.
Oh Rachel wanted me to give this to you.

Then Becca dropped a slip of paper into his hand.

Drake
A party invitation huh. And it looks like we'll be at the fair to...in 3 weeks. Thanks.

Becca(smiling)
No problem. But I was wondering if you and I could well be each others date to the party.

Drake
Come on we're already for the most part together so a party won't be too big a deal.

Becca
Thanks.

Then with another small kiss Becca had left for her class.

Drake smiled after her and walked through the door and to his English class.

INT. OLD DUMP

Nathan sat from atop the fence surrounding the dump staring towards the city.

Nathan(in thought)
Well my friends we escaped the monsters what now?

Spiders(mentally)
Now we need more food and who better to feed on then the ones at your school. You could feed upon those there that you see as the monsters. Or the ones we think are the monsters. Because Nathan you know we can be trusted...don't you?

Nathan
Yes... let's go.

And soon Nathan was on his way.

Finally had time to catch up with "Toxic," and of course I love it! (You knew the Chlarky moment would grab me, didn't you, J.D.? :D ) (Although Becca's nice too. But of course, I'll always give the nod to Shelley! *eg*)

Honestly, though, you know the relationship that really jumped out at me here? It's the one between Drake and Alicia, his mom. (I really could picture her so well, thanks to your dialogue!) I could feel the strain he felt, not being able to share his secret with her. I'd love to see more of her. :)

And of course, Nathan and his spiders are uber-creepy. (The only thing I would've wished for was, maybe, a little bit more background on Nathan, so we could see where he was coming from.) I think he's going to be your scariest villain yet. It reminded me of the bug-guy in MIB I, but without the comedy factor.

You've got a real "ear" for dialogue, you really can bring your characters to life in a few lines. You've definitely hooked me. :) PPMS! :D

Thank you all and Nathan has not too much background but the spiders twisted his mind and ate away at his body so that would turn anyone a bit topsy turvey :).

But more mother and son stuff coming this episode and who say the secret won't be revealed this episode to at least one person.

And also next episode I touch more on Drake and his father's relationship a bit more.

Anyway ACT 4 tomorrow night or Sunday I'm a bit unsure :lol:

EXT. MILLTEN HIGH COURTYARD-NOONISH

Drake ate his lunch quietly while Jacob and Shelly chatted away.

Drake couldn't believe how fast lunch had gone by.

Suddenly after he threw his trash away and sat down again someone began talking to him.

Rachel
Hello Drake.

Drake(smiling up at her)
Hey Rachel how are you?

Rachel
Well enough,so did Becca give you the invitation?

Drake
Yeah she did and thanks for inviting me it sounds like a blast.

Rachel(smiling)
Don't mention it. My dad didn't want a whole party at my house so we compromised on the fair.

Drake
Ah. Dad didn't wanna deal with teens huh?

Rachel
Well he says one teenage girl is enough.

Drake smiled at Rachel a bit.

Then Jacob and Shelly walked back over.


Jacob spotted Rachel first.

Jacob
If it isn't Rachel. Hey are me and Shelly invited to your party?
people are saying they're invited when we haven't even gotten ours.

We did get invites..right?

Rachel(smiling)
Of course I got you guys invites I think I have them in my pocket here.

Then Rachel soon pulled some small red invites from her jeans pocket.

Jacob smiled and stuffed his invite in his own pocket and Shelly played with the invite spinning it on her finger.

Jacob
Thanks.

Rachel
Don't mention it.

Suddenly the bell for the end of lunch rang and then Jacob and Shelly said good-bye to Rachel and Drake as they went back to class.

Drake then got up and he and Rachel decided to walk back to class together.

INT.MAIN HALLWAY

Suddenly Drake heard a noise coming from the ceiling as they got inside.

Then a part of the vents clinked and clanked and sudddenly someting metallic fell to the floor luckily Drake pushed Rachel out've the way.

Rachel(getting up off the floor)
Woah... that was close. Thanks for the save Drake.

But Drake wasn't listening as he looked into the vents.

Rachel
What is it Drake?

Drake
Something is up there.

Then Drake saw some tiny things crawling out of the where the bit of metal used to be.

Then he got a good look.

Spiders....

He felt his skin crawl. Suddenly he zoned out.

Then he saw that day when his arachnophobia began.

It had been a harmless visit to the zoo with his parents but he had wandered off then he picked up that leaf and then...it bit.

Then Drake came out've his state sweating.

Rachel grabbed his hand.

Rachel
Drake are you alright?

Drake(frightened a bit)
Yes but...run.

Then Drake began to run.

Rachel looked back though and finally saw the spiders.

By now they were on the flor and crawling swiftly to whoever they saw and right now the spiders had their attention on the two of them.

Then Drake tripeed and hit the hard ground.

Rachel then fell as well.

Then Drake got up a bit and saw the spiders swirl and change into a giant gray human-like mass.

Then he saw it look at Rachel and Drake got to his feet and stared in fear and partially in rage he flung himself at the creature but it flung him aside like a rag doll.

Then Drake winced as he saw the creature bite into Rachel arm and crawl off leaving him and the wounded Rachel alone.

ACT 5

INT. HOSPITAL-WAITING ROOM

Drake waited outside running a hand over his head still a bit sore.

He couldn't believe he had gotten so spooked.

And it was all his fault Rachel was in the E.R.

Suddenly he heard a door open and a familiar doctor walked out.

Drake(excited)
Dr. Carter,how is she?

Dr. Carter
Rachel is alright Drake she'll just need to stay overnight. But she got lucky.

Well Drake you can go visit if you want but only for a few moments. I have another patient to visit. Oh and tell your mother I said hello.

Drake
Alright Doc,bye.

And soon Dr. Carter was walking away.

Drake turned around and took a breath and exhaled and he walked down the long hall until he got to room #20.

INT. ROOM #20

Drake walked in and saw Rachel in bed and he saw a cup of water near the bed.

Suddenly Rachel stirred in bed her eyes opening.

Rachel(smiling and speaking softly)
Hey Drake.

Drake(smiling back)
Hey,you doing okay?

Rachel
Yeah,my dad just visited.
So how was the rest of your school day?

Drake
Oh nothing special but Jacob and Shelly send theri love. They'll be by later.

Rachel
Okay,cool. Oh and Drake...

Drake
Yeah,what is it Rach?

Rachel
Thanks for trying to save me. And don't worry it's not your fault I should've had my insect spray with me.

Drake smiled.

Drake
Nice one but hey I gotta go. I promise I'll come by tonight after my dinner with Becca.

Rachel
Alright I'll be waiting.

Then with a wave Drake was gone.

Rachel smiled and layed back down and was soon back to a peaceful sleep.

As Drake exited the hospital he heard a scream and he ran for it.

Suddenly he saw a young woman in a large silvery web.

She looked like some fresh mummy.

Drake then took a breath and ran to the web and climbed.

Soon he was face to face with the woman.

Then Drake heard her squeal.

Drake
Don't worry Miss I'll save you.

then Drake sunk his hands into the sticky substance and he worked his fingers in and ripped some of the almost gooey like web off.

Soon after a bit of work the woman was free.

Drake jumped off with her.

Suddenly a garbage can fell over with a little bang.

The two turned and Drake saw a familiar gray mass.

Suddenly Drake pushed the woman and soon she was away.

Drake turned and soon the shadows surrounded him and he was soon garbed in his costume.

Shadow
Alright enough is enough. Who are you?

The figure walked forward.

Nathan
Just call me Arachnid.
But who are you?

Shadow
Someone not afraid of the dark.

So spiderboy why'd you attack those students?

Nathan
Well I was hungry. That's about it.

But your in the way of me and my next meal so I suggest you step aside.

Shadow
Wait a sec,next meal?

Nathan
Yes scientists are my main targets.

Shadow
Ah. But I'm not going anywhere.

Nathan
Big mistake.

Then Nathan threw himself at Shadow and soon the two were locked together but spiders crawled onto Shadow's hand and soon over his body when they hit the ground.

Spiders
Hmmm... it looks like we get our next meal a bit sooner.

Then Drake zoned out again.

No,spiders again.

Then Drake flashed back again.

The spider had leapt from under the leaf and bit and then Drake had woken up in the hospital finger flaring with pain.

Then Drake screamed as he snapped back to reality.

Then the spiders flew aside like nothing spreading across the alleyway.

Shadow was now surrounded in a dark bubble flaring up from time to time.

Then Nathan reformed.

Nathan
Impressive. But it won't be enough to stop me!

Then Nathan charged at the bubble.

He underestimated it's power.

When his fist hit spiders fell to the ground.

Then Nathan stopped and pulled his hand back but the spiders weren't staying together and soon his spidery body was falling apart.

Nathan
What? Impossible.....

And soon the only thing left was a few small spiders.

Drake slumped to his knees and wiped the sweat from his face clutching the Shadow mask in his hand for a moment before that and his costume evaporated into the shadows.

But then he looked at the spiders and threw them into a dumpster with a small gesture.

That would hold him at least until the cops came.

CONRAD HOUSE-AROUND SUNSET

Drake walked inside the house hopefully his mom was home.

He needed to get this out've his system before his dinner with Becca.

Suddenly his mom walked downstairs.

Alicia(suprised)
Drake what...don't you have a dinner date?

Drake
Yeah I just have to tell you something first.

Alicia
What?

Drake
Well this is hard but I know I have to at least tell only you right now.

I'm....a....mutant.

Alcia
What....are you serious?

Suddenly Drake's eyes turned red.

Alicia jumped a bit.

Alicia
Oh my God Drake.

Drake turned away.

Drake
Just as I thought. Well you can tell dad and send me to some military barracks now.

Suddenly he felt himself being crushed into a hug.

Alicia
No I'm sorry Drake it's just this is a lot to take in. I mean you only just told me.

But I do wanna see what else you can do later on.

Drake(smiling)
But what about dad?

Alicia
Well...you know your father he's just has this thing about unusual things so we can wait and tell him together. Now you better get going you don't want Becca mad.

Drake(smiling)
Thanks mom,for everything.

Alicia
Don't mention it honey what are mothers for.

Anyway with ep.5 Hunt. A Becca storyline begins and Rachel decides to move away from Drake or try.

And Drake must defend someone on the run from the military.

Nice ending, I was hoping for Reeves to show up again :D I'm glad, and more rachel too though i really wished that not all the girls would be all over our hero. I was dissapointed you didn't show more of rachel with her powers or more of her relationship with her dad, i mean you had me interested in that with the first episode and then nothing. We really need more of that. I love the first scene with shelly though.

Also are they all friends? All the girls i mean, and how close? from what i saw in pilot i thought rachel and shelly were only acquaintances since drake had a crush on rachel but never seem to have talked to her much before. If she and shelly were close i figured drake and rach would be closer too and i thought it was the same with shelly and becca.

Drake had a talk with his mom! And they hugged! Awwww....loved it! And Drake's "Indiana Jones" moment with the spiders was very cool, too. (I can't stand 'em either, so those scenes def. gave me the shivers!)
