Shadow-Pilot episode

Okay well I've been a superhero fan most of my life and I liked the way Smallville had a teen Clark Kent discovering his powers so that was part of my inspiration and also my favorite hero of all time Spider-Man and also X-Men as well.
But I hope those of you who read this will welcome Shadow with open arms.

ACT 1

INT. DRAKE CONRAD'S BEDROOM-MORNING

Drake rolls out've bed sleepily. Even yawning a bit. He looks at his clock. It flashes 7:00 in red.

Then Drake walks over to his closet and pulls out some of his cleaner looking clothes. Then he throws them on his bed for later.

After he walks downstairs. He hears the sound of talking and the clinking of plates as he nears the kitchen.

INT. CONRAD KITCHEN

Drake walks in the kitchen seeing his dad sitting at the table reading the newspaper.

Drake (still half asleep)
Morning dad.

Carlos Conrad is Drake's father and he is wearing some pajamas right now and he is a tall man about 6ft 3,clean shaven with short cut light brown hair. But job wise he has a fullfilling one he's a teacher but he teaches at Drake's scool Millten High.

Carlos(looking at Drake putting the paper down)
Drake your finally up,well you better get some breakfast then go and get ready for school.

Drake(smirking a bit)
Don't I always dad.

Carlos smiles at Drake then glances at his watch.

Carlos(getting up from the table)
Drake I'm gonna go get ready myself.

Drake(putting a few Ego waffles on his plate and picking up a knife and fork)
OK dad.
Carlos leaves the room.

Drake eats a few waffles in a few moments and puts the utensils in the sink. Then he decides to get ready for school. So he walks up the stairs to the upstairs bathroom to take a quick shower.

After the shower he returns to his room.

INT. DRAKE'S ROOM

He glances at the clothes on his bed and walks into his closet to get dressed.

He walks out and check himself in the mirror. Today he decided to be school spirited. He wore a blue shirt with a white star on it,some jeans with a belt ,and his black Nikes.


Suddenly he thought he saw that his eyes were red?!

Drake blinks and opens his eyes they are still the same gray color he always had.

He stares at the mirror again for a second or two before smiling. He thought it was his imagination.

Then Drake grabs his backpack and walks out his room and down the stairs to the front door.

INT. NEAR THE FRONT DOOR

Then Drake heard something on the radio dowstairs near his dad's laptop.

It was the familiar voice of his mom or known to her fans as Mrs. Alice.

Drake smiled his mom had always had a lot of fans.

Alicia Conrad is 5ft.11 with long locks of black hair. Drake knew she was probably wearing her pajamas to work because she was on radio and she always left before he got up in the morning.

Then Drake turned off the radio as he heard the familiar click of his dad's shoes as he crossed through kitchen shoes clacking on the tile.

Drake(looking as his dad walk in wearing his suit for teaching)
Looking sharp dad.

Carlos(smiing)
Thanks. You don't look that bad yourself.
By the way hope you don't mind being seen in the van today.

Drake(groaning for a sec before talking with his dad)
I don't mind. So mom took the truck?

Carlos
Yes it's her turn to use the truck.

Drake
What you two share that thing?

Carlos
Yes actually she gets it Mondays,Wednesdays,and Fridays and I get it Tuesdays and Thursdays and over the weekend.

Drake
Oh OK. Oh and dad we better get going.

Carlos
Right.

Then the two walked out the front door and up to the dark blue van in the driveway.

They got in without a word.

Soon after only about 10 or so minutes of driving Carlos parks the van in his regular spot in the Senior parking lot.

Suddenly Drake saw his friends out the car window and gets out waving goodbye to his dad.


Carlos(joking a bit)
Bye Drake I'll see you,Shelly,and Jacob 3rd period. Be prepared.


Then Carlos got out and walked off to his classroom lesson plans in hand.

EXT. IN FRONT OF MILLTEN HIGH SCHOOL

Drake walked over to his friends waiting for him.

Then they all walked together chatting.

Drake's best friend are Jacob Myers a tall black guy wearing a green shirt and some jeans and his Adidas,a member of the basketball team,and the jokester of th group. Also there is the last part to the trio.Shelly Anderson she is an up and coming young motorcross racer,also she writes a bit. She is a midheight blond with long flwoing hair normally tied back like it is now in a ponytail. She's wearing a purple shirt today and jeans as well.

Drake(to Jacob)
So how'd the football game go Thursday?

Jacob
Not so good man our team barely won.

Shelly(interupting)
I have a question. So who's going to the Homecoming dance tomorrow night?

Jacob(smiling)
I am and you guys'll never guess who I'm going with.

Shelly and Drake togehter(smiling)
It's Anna Rodriguez isn't it.

Jacob
How do you guys do that?

Drake
Well you talk about her constantly EVERY day. But hey I'm glad for ya.

Shelly
Okay now that we know Jacob's date Drake are you going?

Drake(sounding a bit depressed now)
Well I was thinking of just going alone.

Jacob
Come on man there must be some girl here you wanna ask out.

Drake
There is but I'm not sure I can build up the nerve to ask her out.

Shelly
Okay how about this Jacob and I come in as your backup we'll be with you when you ask Rachel.

Drake
I didn't say it was Rachel.

Shelly (smiling)
You didn't say it wasn't her.

Suddenly the belll for the early students to go to class rang breaking Drake and his friends conversation.

Drake
Guys I better get going to English. Ms. Kay is a bit strict on us if we're late.

Jacob
Yeah and I got Algebra way across campus. I better go too.

Shelly watched them leave smiling to herself as she turned toward the science building.

INT. MILLTEN HIGH

Drake walks down a hallway when he hears some voices and laughter coming from the middle of the hallway near the lockers.

The cheerleaders were crowded around Mary Warren. Drake didn't know why Mary put up with all their insults.

But mostly the main one making fun of her was the cheer captain Monica Lee your typical hot asian girl and cheerleader that was sometimes a bit of a ditz and a jerk to anyone who wasn't a jock or another cheerleader.

Monica(to Mary)
Warren get out've my way I have to get to practice.

Mary(nervously)
Oh sorry.

Suddenly Mary stared at a boy she liked but Monica saw as well.

Monica
That guy your scoping only dates cheerleaders and not nerds like you. Plus that's my boyfriend.

Mary(nervous)
Oh sorry Monica I didn't know.

Monica
Sorry isn't enough this time Warren. Ladies it's time to punish her from trying to steal my man.

Drake glanced back toward his English class but then he heard the laughter of other students as Mary got pushed down on the ground her face covered in makeup sloppily making her look like a clown.

Drake looked away for a second as the other students dispersed.

Then after they were gone he offered Mary a hand up.

Drake(softly)
Need a hand?

Mary took his hand and he helped her up and gave her her books.

Mary(crying a bit and wiping some of the makeup off)
Thank you.

Drake
No problem.

Then Drake waved goodbye to her and walked into his English class just in time.

I think it's interesting, J.D. It got my attention. :) Nice descriptions of everyone. Poor Mary. It's very realistic about how high school life can be for "some" people. I am more interested in finding out about Drake, of course... and his love interest with the girl with the nice name, Rachel ;) :p I would say good job and I hope others agree :D

Act 2

INT. HALLWAY-AFTER 1ST BLOCK

Drake walked down the hall holding his test paper luckily English was his best subject. He'd passed that test with a 97. Drake had to admit though his grades in English were way better then his math grades.

Suddenly he heard something hit the floor beside him.

He stuffed his paper in his backpack and picked up a book off the floor.

A copy of Alexandre Dumas's Three Musketeers was on the floor.

Drake picked it up and he turned and saw her....

Rachel Kingston he hadn't talked to her since 8th grade after that he'd been too shy around her.
Ever since then though Drake had watched her occassionally from afar and tried to write different kind of poems or something to express the way he felt but he always failed to come up with the words. He remembered the scraps of paper that had once littered his bedroom.

Suddenly Rachel cleared her throat,causing Drake to snap back to reality.

Rachel(after clearing her throat)
Can I have my book back. I kinda need it for a book report.

Drake(embarrassed a bit)
Oh sure here ya go.

Drake handed her her book quick enough.

Rachel took it and put it in her backpack then she smiled like she recognized him.

Rachel
Hey aren't you Drake Conrad?

Drake
Yeah.

Rachel
Hey I knew you in 8th grade. If you don't remember maybe this'll jog your memory.

Then Rachel held the back of her red locks up.

Then Drake smiled.

Drake(smirking)
I remember now. But seriously I always remembered you it's just I was curious if you still remembered me.

Rachel
Of course how could I forget the kid who made my day a little brighter even if I didn't see it like that on my worse days.

Drake
Thanks for the compliment.

Rachel
No problem.

Then Drake was a bit nervous maybe he should ask her he still had plenty of time about 4 to 5 more minutes until till 2nd block started.

Drake(tapping Rachel's shoulder as she walked off a bit)
Rachel wait up. I...wanna ask you something.

Rachel(turning and looking at Drake)
What is it?

Drake(a tad nervous)
Would you wanna...maybe if you can...go to the Homecoming Dance with me?

Rachel(looking at him sadly)
I would but I already have...other plans,sorry.

Then Rachel glanced at her watch and waved goodbye to Drake as she walked off to her next class.

Drake felt a bit down now but he managed to get to his next class. Yet he was distracted many feelings and thoughts zooming through his head.

Later the bell rang and Drake walked into the hall toward the cafeteria.

Suddenly Drake heard footsteps wlaking near him closer then the other footsteps.

Then he heard Jacob and Shelly.

Jacob (walking beside Drake to the left)
Hey bud.

Then Shelly followed on Drake's right side.

Drake(looking from one to another)
Hey guys.

Shelly noticed Drake was acting weird.

Shelly
What's up Drake you seem a bit out've it.

Drake(glancing at Shelly giving her a small smile)
Well I took your and Jacob's advice and asked Rachel. But she has other plans.

Shelly patted Drake's back lightly as the three made it into the cafeteria.

Drake and his friends buy their food and go outside.

EXT. OUTDOORS IN THE COURTYARD

Drake finishes his lunch quicker then usual and sits on a bench and watches the sky as if the deep blue will just swallow his problems and worries.

He knew his friends were chatting to others and yet he could tell they were thinking of him anyway.

Suddenly Drake heard someone behind and he turned quickly a tad frightened and he was face to face with Becca Hamilton. SHe was a nice girl but he felt bad every time he saw her. Her father had been a fireman and he'd died while saving another life. Drake looked into her eyes almost as blue as the sky. She had medium cut platinum blond hair and she was on the curvy side. All in all she was a great girl. Suddenly I wondered why she was here.

This time I decided to make the first move though.

Drake(smiling and looking down for a second before meeting Becca's gaze again.)
Hey Becca. So what's up?

Becca(biting her lip nervously)
I was just in the neighborhood but to be honest I was wondering if you'd go to the dance with me tomorrow.

Drake(smiling)
Sure.

Drake wasn't sure where those words had come from but he just couldn't say no.

Becca(smiling and now very happy)
Really!,I mean really...cool but I suggest you wear black or blue. To you know..match my dress.

Drake(laughing for a second then smiling)
OK will do. See ya Saturday.

Then Becca walked off. Drake saw he had made her day and he smiled watching her finally go back inside the cafeteria.

Just then Drake heard Jacob and Shelly.

Jacob and Shelly together(comically)
Ooh...Drakey's got a new crush!

Drake(sarcastically)
Haha guys,very funny.

Jacob(looking at Drake smiling)
We can't help it but at least your not going alone anymore.

Drake smiled a bit.

Drake
Yeah I guess your right Jacob.

Drake then turned to Shelly he remembered she never said who she was going to the dance with.

Drake(looking at Shelly)
Shelly I just remembered you never said who you were going with.

Shelly
Well Marcus Flint asked me.

Jacob
You mean that skateboarder guy?

Shelly
That's the one and he's not so bad I could have got stuck taking you Jacob. And don't deny it you would've asked me if you hadn't lucked out.

That shut Jacob up.

Suddenly they all heard the lunch dismisal bell ring and they walked inside the cafeteria and grabbed their backpacks. Luckily they had 3rd block together even if that was the only class they shared. And what made it better sometimes was the fact that Drake's dad taught the class,Mythology.

But as they walked off toward the class the trio saw Mary run past them toward the girls bathroom near the front office her face stained with tears and ketchup.

People could be so cruel sometimes.

ACT 3

OUTSIDE NEAR SENIOR PARKING LOT-LATE AFTERNOON

Drake walked with his friends toward the Senior parking lot to wait for his dad all the while they cahtted about school today and the upcoming dance.

Drake
So how'd you guys do on my dad's test 3rd block?

Shelly
I did prety good,an 86.

Jacob(smiling at her waving his paper above her head)
Ha I got a 92.

Shelly(looking beaten)
Crap,I lost 2 bucks.

Drake(laughing)
Well I overshot both of you,101.

Jacob(punching Drake's arm jokingly smiling)
You nerd.

Drake
Woah,I'm not a nerd. I just study better then you guys.

Then Carlos appears out've a door to the side of a building.

Carlos(smiling at the trio)
How are you kids?

Drake Shelly and Jacob(smiling angelically then laughing)
Good.

Carlos (smiled and motioned to Drake)
Come on son we gotta get you ready for the dance.

Drake(staring in suprise at his dad)
Dad how'd you know about that?

Carlos(smirking)
I wanted to test a rumor to see if it was true,guess it worked. You really are going to the dance,so are you going alone?

Jacob(chiming in)
Nope Mr.C,Drakey's goin with Becca.

Carlos(smiling,intrigued)
Becca?

Drake(blushing a bit)
She's this girl I know she asked me actually.

Carlos
Ah. Well son your carrying on a grand tradition that's how your mom roped me in.

Drake smiled and his dad ruffled his hair and unlocked the car.

Then Shelly said goobye.

Shelly(waving playfully)
Bye Drakey,and Mr. Conrad.

Drake nodded before hopping into the van and he saw his dad smile and wave and get in as well.

Soon the van had zoomed out've the parking lot and was on it's way home.

INT.CARLOS'S VAN

As Carlos drove Drake was a bit curious why they'd left earlier then usual.

Drake
So dad why did we leave so early?

Carlos(smiling)
Your mother wants us to listen in on the show tonight. Something she said you might be interested in. Probably something about you two's fascination with those metahumans...mutants whatever they're called.

Drake(now a bit more excited)
Really? Cool,so when does mom's show start tonight?

Carlos(still watching the road as he drove)
Tonight it starts at about 6 or 7 well one good thing you get some time to do what you want. I got tests to grade so you get to get ready for your date tomorrow.

Drake(blushing again)
It's not a date Becca and I are friends...I...think.

Then Carlos and Drake were quiet for the remainder of the drive.

And soon they were getting out of the van and going inside.

INT.CONRAD HOUSE-DRAKE'S ROOM

Drake sat on his bed his clothes for the dance hanging on his closet door.

He'd decided to go simple. Black suit,white undershirt,and black pants.

But now he was tapping his pencil on his desk near his bed,bored.

Suddenly he dropped his pencil and he reached for it and was shocked when he saw it floating in midair. And in his mirror he saw his reflection. It had red eyes?!

Then he heard the pencil hit the ground.

Then he just blurted something out.

Drake
What just happened?

Suddenly Carlos called him.

Drake then walked out slowly until he remembered his mom's radio show.

Then he and his dad sat near a radio in the kitchen.

Suddenly Alicia's show began.

Alicia(her voice is a bit loud and somewhat peppy over radio)
Hello everybody. Looks like I have well known geneticist,Evan Reeve,in the studio tonight. Mr. Reeve I'm a little curious what news do you have to share?

Evan(he had a bit of a cold voice and low)
Well Mrs. Conrad I have some somewhat interesting news tonight. It seems individuals with certain...abilities are popping up in many city across the state. One is said to be able to....disguise himself and other reports say a young girl from Miami can control water.

Alicia
Are these...individuals as you call them dangerous?

Evan
Some Mrs. Conrad. But what I wish to do is find some way to help them. I know some of those...mutants are chldren if not teens. I don't want them to live their lives trapped in a curse.

Alicia
Well alright Mr. Reeve,oh sorry sir looks like we ran out've time. Well goodnight everyone. I will "see" you all Monday morning at the usual time and I'd like to thank our special guest for his report,goodnight everybody.

Carlos flipped the radio's off switch.

Carlos
Looks like we tuned in a bit late.

Drake
Oh well,so mutants are real.

Carlos
Seems like it. But I do pity some of them some must be scared though.

Drake(softly staring out the window into the darkening sky)
Yeah I bet they are...

INT. RACHEL'S HOUSE
Racehl watched tv quietly suddenly she heard the familiar sound of breaking glass in the kitchen. Her dad was angry again.

Suddenly the door burst open and Danny Kingston walked into the room smelling of beer and his face wet with fresh tears.

As soon as he saw her his hands formed into fists.

The death of his wife a few years ago had hit him hard and sometimes he took out his sorrow in beer and once he was drunk he got...angry.

Tonight must've been a killer at work. He is a mailman but lately he was drowning his sorrows and cash in beer again.

Suddenly he threw himself at Rachel and beat on her but she wrestled form his grasp when he held her and she ran outside.

She hid in her usual spot near her favorite oak tree.

She heard a cracking noise like snapping twigs and she dove to the ground. Suddenly she felt the warmth of her blood trickle down her face from her lip and nose. When suddenly her back felt like it was turning inside out.

God it was painful! She grabbed at her back and cried out in pain suddenly she heard a rip from the back of her shirt. Then the pain went away as fast as it had came. Suddenly she saw a white feathery looking thing near her back. Suddenly she felt her back and felt the soft downy feathers...were her own. She ran a hand across the soft feathers in shock.

Then she smiled in the dark and decided tonight might be a good time for a test flight.

And soon she was airborne if a bit clumsy though. Then she thought of Drake sadly. Why had she said no to him? Then she remembered...dad.

But he probably had another date by now.

But as she got high enough she looked down at the glowing city below,her mind clearing. It was so beautiful at night.


INT. MARY'S HOUSE-MARY'S ROOM

Mary walked in the door past her mom and dad in the kitchen. Then she threw herself onto her bed in her room.

Those cheerleaders were soooo frustrating.

Mary rubbed her face suddenly she heard something in her closet. She ran over and opened the door.

Suddenly something fell from the closet and hit her foot.

She looked down and saw the skin of her foot through her sandel was...flat as a board suddenly it popped right back up again with a strange squelching noise.

Then she ran her hand along the box and heer fingers bent around it.

Then she smiled and muttured.

Mary
Those bimbos are gonna get a big suprise tomorrow night.

Then she smiled evily her fingers popping back into place.

ACT 4

INT. DRAKE'S ROOM-SATURDAY AFTERNOON

Drake layed back on his bed looking at the white ceiling. He couldn't believe in an hour or so he'd be off to the dance.

Yet he didn't know why he was so nervous he and Becca were going as friends......weren't they?

Suddenly a knock on the door snaps him out've his thoughts.

Shelly(O.S.)
Drake it's me Shelly.

Drake opens the door and Shely walks in.

Drake
Hey Shelly,what's up with this visit?

Shelly(smiling)
Well I can't annoy Jacob because he's out getting stuff for the dance.

Drake
Still,the dance is only like an hour away.

Shelly
I know that's what I told him but hey he wants to make things perfect with Ann tonight.

Drake(smirking)
You think it'll work?

Shelly
Maybe. Hey I bet 5 bucks he'll mess up at least once tonight.

Drake
Your on. I bet 5 bucks he doesn't screw up.

Shelly(smiling)
Okay but remember you owe me 5 bucks after he screws up.
See ya at school...the gym in a few.

Then Shelly walked out the door and soon Drake couldn't hear her footsteps anymore.

But then he decided to get dressed after a quick shower.

But he looked pretty sharp once he had finally gotten dressed. He'd also fixed up his hair a little bit.

He was all 5ft.8 of himself and he wore his black jacket and white dress shirt underneath it. Also he wore black pants and had a belt. Also he had on his best black shoes.

Drake smiled tonight might actually be fun.

Then he picked up the flower he'd managed to buy for Becca. Hey it wasn't a corsage or a boquet but he'd picked out the cheapest yet perfect white rose. Like the color of fresh snow and the petals were as smooth as silk.

He smiled trying to picture the expression on her face when he gave it to her.

Suddenly he heard his dad's familiar knock and Drake walked out've his room. He saw his dad glance at him before they both walked out to the car. On my way downstairs I saw mom in the kitchen I waved at her and got a quick smile back.

Then me and dad hopped in the car and drove off toward the school.


Soon we had parked along the side parking lot right to the side of the gym.

Then Drake saw his dad get out and walk inside just as he got out and was greeted by my friends and their dates.

First from the left came Jacob and Anna.

It looked like Jacob had gone simple black and white too. But Anna wore a dark red dress and also some black high heels.
Anna is a 5ft.6 supermodel like hispanic girl and Drake was still suprised Jacob had managed to finally get her let alone talk to her.

Drake smiled and greeted them.

Drake(smiling)
Hey you two.

Jacob(smiling back)
Hey Drake,still waiting for your date I see.

Drake
Yeah she'll be here soon though. But you two go ahead.

Jacob
Alright.

Then Jacob and Anna went inside.

Moments later Shelly and her date arrived from the left.

Again Shelly's date Marcus had chosen Drake's same combo but hey at dances all guys chose something simple anywya.

But what suprised Drake about Marcus was his har. It was usually all just brown curls but not tonight his hair was straight it didn't look half bad either.

But then he went inside mentioning something about getting some punch or a drink for Shell and himself.

Then Drake looked at Shelly she looked like he'd never seen her before her hair was out've the ponytail tonight and was cascading down a little. And she wore a very dark purple dress and some black heels.

Drake(smiling)
You look great,knock him dead.

Then Shelly hugged me and walked inside. And not soon after she left Drake soon saw Becca.

Her platinum hair was about neck length as well but it was a bit done up tonight and a tad curly. And her dress was a darkened blue and she wore black heels as well.

Drake was staring at Becca until she came closer. Then he finally got control of himself and handed her the rose.

Her face lit up and she flashed him a pearly white smile.

Becca(happy and glancing at the rose)
Oh Drake,it's beautiful!

Then she gave him something,a small golden necklace with a small cross on it.

Drake then placed it around his neck. Perfect fit.

Becca smiled at me a bit.

Becca
Sorry I just didn't feel right giving you a flower so I got you this instead.

Drake(smiling)
It's alright I like it.

Suddenly Drake decided they'd been standing there long enough.

Drake(offering Becca an arm to hold)
I think we'd better get going or else the punch'll be gone.

Becca smiled as she grabbed Drake arm and they walked inside.

INT. GYM

Inside the two were suprised by how the school had gone all out for this dance.

The Calling was even the band for tonight.

The room shone in white and blue(the schools colors) and there were bowls of punch and some snacks to the left and right and also the small square like stage where the Calling stood playing.

Drake glanced at Becca she looked like she wanted to dance even though drake couldn't dance period he thought he might as well give it a shot.

Drake
Care to dance?

Becca smiled as they walked onto the almost glowing dance floor. And soon the music softened almost seconds after they got there.

And all the couples got close. And Drake and Becca slowly did the same.

Drake's heart was beating a bit faster but he could also tell Becca was a bit on edge too.

Suddenly the Calling played one of their love songs. And the music swept the dance floor as the song began.("Wherever You Will Go")

As the song neared it's end Drake and Becca felt the song overtake them.

And soon they kissed.

And they held it for awhile. Suddenly the sprinklers came on dousing everyone in water.

And many ran out and Drake and Becca did as well and Drake saw Shelly and Jacob and their dates run out as well.

As they got outside everyone heard a loud scream.

Drake looked toward the inside and he took a breath and breathed out.

Then Drake talked to Becca.

Drake
Becca I'm gonna go in there for a sec and see what's wrong alright. Just wait for me.

Then Drake ran inside and soon to all those standing outside he was out've sight.

I loved it JD and I'm definitely a fan of the Rachel character. The moment where she discovers her wings was very vivid and descriptive. It left me with a very angelic image of the character so I hope that was your intention.

ACT 5

INT. MILLTEN HIGH GYM
Drake ran further into the gym until he found the source of the scream it seemed Mary had attacked Monica and her boyfriend.

Drake stood back a for a few seconds trying to find something to throw and yet listening as well.

Mary(standing over Monica and her boyfriend Todd near the back of the gym)
Monica tonight is where you get what you deserve. But lucky for you it'll only hurt a minute.

Monica started crying a bit.

Monica(sobbing)
Please don't hurt me. I didn't mean any of those things I said about you.

Mary(pacing around Monica and Todd)
That may be but your words hurt all the same. Now it's time for you to pay. And first I'll take what you care for the most!

Drake saw his time was now. But he was caught off guard by Mary's hand shifting into a mace like object complete with spikes.

Was Mary a mutant too?

But then Drake put all his thoughts aside and just threw the small punch bowl as hard as he could.

It spun through the air and hit Mary square in the face.

Drake heard a sickening squelch as it hit her face.

Suddenly Monica and Todd ran for the door Drake came away from his spot.

Drake(to Monica and Todd)
You two get out've here and I'll be right behind you.

They both nodded nervously and ran for the exit.

As Drake turned about to leave an elastic like arms shoots around his waist and his hand pulling him back.

Mary(angry)
Drake you ruined everything! I was going to get back at her like I'd always wanted.

Drake looked at her seriously.

Drake
What by killing her?

Mary(angrier and even crying a bit)
She deserves death for what she put me and a few other girls through.

Drake then felt Mary's grip loosen and he squeezed out barely.

Mary glared at him but Drake decided to continue the conversation.

Drake
Oh she deserves to be punished but not killed.

Mary(smiling evily)
No,she deserves to be killed and you won't stand in my way!

Suddenly an arm flew at him with the familiar mace he had seen a few moments ago.

Drake was a bit nervous now as he ducked behind a table.

And the mace hand hit the table breaking it into splinters. Drake rolled to his feet.

There was no hiding or fighting back in the gym.

Suddenly he knew the perfect place.

He dodged her continued assault and ran out the back luckily she mad enough so she would keep going after him.

Then Drake faked left and ran right into an older looking building.

He smiled to himself the shop building was perfect.

INT. MILLTEN SHOP/METAL SHOP BUILDING

Drake got in slamming the door shut. he had to come up with a plan. Suddenly his time was cut short as he saw something ooze through the bottom of the door.

Suddenly Mary reformed her hands were now back to "normal" for the moment so that was at least one good thing.

Suddenly her hands shot out again pinning Drake against a wall.

Mary(smiling)
I'm sorry it has to end this way Drake. But I can't have you messing with my plans. Though I promise you a quick death.

Then as her hand formed into something new like a giant hardened block I brace myself but I felt nothing even after a few minutes.

I looked up and saw her hand frozen in midair shock spread across her face.

Mary(shocked)
What...how did you...do that?

Drake(smirking)
Your not the only special person around here.

Then Suddenly Drake saw her shadow and he felt something in the back of his mind.

Then he heard Mary again.

Mary
I'm stuck,what's going on?

Drake glanced down at her shadow again it looked different like it had been frozen in it's tracks along with Mary.

Was this one of his other powers?

Suddenly Drake caught sight of a asetaline torch and then he got a brilliant idea.
If he could only turn on the gas he could finish this.

Then he saw something just as good.

He ran over to some tanks of gas,probably moved and forgotten by a few teachers. But they'd do just fine.

Suddenly Mary stirred and could finally walk agian.

Mary
Alright play time is over!

She dove at Drake as Drake reached for the asetaline torch but she grabbed his leg.

He fell towards the gorund but he concentrated calling the torch to his hand.

Suddenly it flew to his hand.

He smiled and flipped it on and used it. He attacked Mary's fingers with it and she let go screaming in pain then Drake smelled something burnt like a mix of human flesh and putty. It was pretty gross.

Suddenly though he got the wind knocked out've him as a fist hit him in the face.

As he hit the ground he felt a warm trickle of blood run down his nose.

But he ignored the pain and threw the torch at the last second.

Suddenly Mary saw what he was doing and tried to catch the torch.

Taking this opening Drake ran for the door as he finally got back to his feet. And as soon as he dove out the door and ran a few feet away the building went up in a massive explosion.

And now a fire spread through it. Yet Drake didn't look back. But suddenly he felt his nose wasn't hurting anymore. He touched the side of it and saw no blood when he drew his hand back.

He could heal himself. Suddenly he saw a dark mass receding back into his shadow?!

Shadows could heal him or something. Man his powers were confusing.

Suddenly he remembered Becca,God she must be worried sick.
Then he ran dodging the police who were now checking the explosion and a few paramedics until he got back to the front of the gym.

EXT.FRONT OF THE GYM-NIGHT

Drake ran through the crowd easily until he saw Becca she hadn't left the spot where she was standing at all. Shelly and Jacob hugged him obviously worried as well but they saw Becca and smiled letting Drake by.

As he got closer to Becca he just hugged her.

She hugged him joyfully.

Becca(happy yet smiling)
Drake I was so worried about you. But I'm just glad your okay.

As Drake hugged her he whispered softly.

Drake(whispering softly)
Me too.

And the two teens embraced as the stars came out.

EXT.WOODED AREA NEAR RACHEL'S HOME

Rachel finally touched back down to earth, She had been flying ever since the other night. She had flown above the cities and the open country side yet she knew she belonged at home strangely enough.

She soon was walking the familiar road to her house.

She opened the door and managed to hide her wings.(She'd learn to fold them but she'd have to find a better way to hide them later on.)

Her dad was on the ocuch looking at her sadly she walked over to him and sat down.

Rachel(caringly)
Are you alright now dad?

Danny(looking at her smiling)
Yes princess I'm sorry for what I did it was like I could see what I was doing,I just..couldn't stop myself. When I woke up today I came out've it but I'm truly sorry your the most important thing to me left in this world.

Then he huged her tightly tears streaming down his face.

Rachel embraced her father as well and she felt tears form but soon she was crying but she didn't care. She was just glad to have her real father back.


EXT. REMAINS OF SHOP BUILDING-LATE NIGHT

A limo parks near the charred remains of the building and three people step out.

First out walks Yin Lee a beautiful asian woman but clad all in black and wearing a dark leather jacket. She was about 5ft.10 and wore sunglasses and her raven hair was flowing in the wind.

Next came another clad in black this one was a man. Austin Moores a bit short at 5ft.6 he had spiked brown hair and he was weairng shades too but he had on no jacket and was wearing a black short sleeved shirt revealing tanned and muscular arms.

And finally out stepped Evan Reeve a tall man at 6ft. he was taller then his minions and he had a clean shaven face and hair mixed white and gray. And instead of all black he wore gray and white.

Then he motioned for the two to search the rubble.

The police had fouind nothing but Evan had a way of finding things people didn't.

Soon the two clad in black pulled something...or rather someone out've the rubble.

Evan soon got a closer look it was a young girl about 14 by the look of her if not abit older she was coverd in dust and blood and smelled of smoke and other burnt things.

Evan glanced at her again and found one of her hands was strange he held it up and saw the fingers were elongated into thin almost blade like weapons.

Evan glanced at Yin and Austin before finally speaking.

Evan
She's the one time to bring her back for further...study.

Austin put the girl in the limo.

But Yin stopped Evan in the dark.

Sir I also found this in my search. It might mean there was someone else involved in this little incident.

Yin held up a small necklace it was a silver looking necklace with small a golden looking cross attached to it.

Evan(glancing at it before putting it in his pocket)
Good work Yin I'll see if anyone can give me answers about that back at the lab. But for now we have to go. I have a meeting with my son tomorrow.

Yin
Yes sir.

Then the two walked back to the limo and got in.

And soon the limo drove off and was soon swallowed by the darkness.

Finally had a chance to read your scripts--great story! It really works well in script form, too. Drake is an appealing OC, and it's fun to see him struggle with his new powers and hang out with his buddies.

Like I said before, I really like how your writing it now, easier to read, it just paints a picture in my mind, you really get inside their heads and let us know what they're thinking, but maybe thats because they're your characters :p But then who better than the creater to let us know? :)

Ok, i finally got round to finishing your first episode. Great stuff, you got me hooked. I like your writing style and you're great with the descriptions though i wasn't fond of how you wrote Mary, i dunno, too cliche FotW i guess but everything else was really awesome.

My only other complaint is the lack of slash or femme subtext :p though i guess that'll come in the later episodes when we get more interaction between characters and my mind wonders.

Oh and also I really love how you did Rachel and her relationship with her dad. Great stuff.

SO i read all the Acts and wrote something about it after. So here it is...and its long JD just how u wanted it lol

Act 1 was really good! The story abuot the girl, Mary, was so true...it was very realistic..something people see a lot in schools. Its sad :( Glad he helped her out. :) Stinks is dad is his teacher lol...i would hate that And the descriptions were good. Its kept me interested. oh and the red eyes! cant wait to see what happens! Cant wait too see where it leads. Great start


Act 2 was good...the story is very realistic which i like alot!! People can be very very very cruel...not sometimes all the time lol Glad Drake found a date...i cant wait to finish the PILOT!

Act 3 Ahhh the red eyes again lol...hes a mutant? I really wanna know That's cool his mom is a radio host! OMG that's so crazy about rachel...and she ahs no one else :( awww i feel so bad..how could her fatehr do something like that. SHes a mutant too? Yeah it was and episodes 2-5 are alright. It's just I think I did this one perfect and I fel like adding deleted scenes to the others :).

And thanks for the compliments and I am working on showing this to many people and 2 of my teachers are reading the Pilot. And I get sort of an interview thing in January about me or the Pilot in the school paper.

I'm so excited this could be something big for me! :)
