What the heck. That's seriously the biggest cop-out ever (along with the whole "Hey Clark, when you die, all the Kryptonite in your blood goes away" thing). The knife that can kill the vessel just CONVENIENTLY also releases the most evil Kryptonian ever if you stab his pet robot?
