they were great like the stuff they did in that part with that guy was awsome. and all the fire that other guy made cause the one guy pissed him off was genius. and the way that thing blew up that was killer.

There is a "homage" to Matrix I guess....more green text floating around on a computer screen.

And the car crashing thru the window is nice...though I wonder why Clark twirled around several times before he stops the car. Each twirl leaves Chloe open to the dangers of why he's protecting her in the first place.

I was really holding out hope. Commencement was full of them last year. I didn't really care for the computer generated skylines tonight.

the exploding dirt in the beggining was basically the only good special effects. and the looting and carnage in metropolis

Vessel wasnt that great, Jorel will save Clark from the phantom zone, Clark will come back as superman not enough time should of been longer..

the effects that i liked was clark saving chloe from the car and i enjoyed the lex in the field and the last part with clark in the phantom zone with the music..

I hated the SFX when they showed Metropolis lights going out and the DP ball shutting down. The graphics look so juvenile like they built a miniuatre set or something. It was appropraite for a Godzilla movie not SV.

Yeah, I agree that the Metropolis lights were kind of weak. It looked more like a computer animation than it probably should have. However, I really enjoyed the scene where Clark saves Chloe. It thought it looked great. I could watch that part over and over again - it was so cool, IMO.

I was dissapointed in the FX's this year... So much for a commencement like episode. :(

After Clark threw the dagger at Brainiac and you saw the fortress, there is a reused shot of a cliff at the fortress as the camera pans upward toward the top of the cliff. That same shot was used in Reckoning when Clark superjumped to the top of that cliff of ice. And also, since when is the daily planet globe silver? It has alway been a metallic gold color throughout the entire series and in this episode, it was silver.
