Now, I feel like it's been a long season, and to be honest, I really can't remember that ONE Zod episode too much. I probably thought it was like any other FoTW at the time and forgot about him once the episode was over. Can someone give a quick recap of what we actually know about him (no speculation please) and what happened in that episode, and if/what his relation to Fine is? I've seen almost every episode in full this season, but I am forgetting the big picture if Zod matters to me... Thanks!

Well, if you don't know about Zod, Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_Zod)'s got you covered. Here's another helpful link (http://www.monitorduty.com/mdarchives/2005/11/alan_kistlers_p_2.shtml).

As far as Smallville is concerned, all we really know about Zod is that he was a rebel Kryptonian who was somehow imprisoned in what we all know to be the Phantom Zone. And that the Fortress is somehow key to keeping him there. And that for some reason, Brainiac wants him out. Why? Who knows?

yea we really dont know much on smallville's zod. as the others said he was a big rebel on krypton and was locked away in the PZ and brainiac wants him out. ........... My thought maybe zod was the kryptonian who created brainiac aka fine.

Obiously Jor-El created Brainiac that is why he was so afraid of Lion-El when he was getting close.....he is the only one that really knows how to destroy him...he knows because he put a kill switch on him...my thoughts anyway

Was he not created by ZOD???

Also, the only other thing we know about ZOD is that he is a General....
