So can anyone read kryptonian ? Hmm i know that one symbol was ZOD that we see in his eyes

Yeah good story, with the episode now just ending we get to see that Lionel is just "Oracle"

lionel's character has been awesome latley, the writers better not spoil it soon

I was little surprised that Clark couldn't read it. Wasn't he downloaded with the language back in season 2 on Rosetta?

Yes..... I donīt remember the line, but basically he isuggested they to be partners..... showing the Clarkīs pic... Jonathan died also for it.

Downloaded with a few kryptonian symbols perhaps in season 2. His training at FOS was cut-off in Arrival when he had to save Chloe so could be why he couldn't interpret all those symbols. Chloe narrowed it down to three symbols that were repeated several times in Lionel's writings. Clark was able to recognized those symbols as "zod is coming'.

Lionel told Martha that Jonathan didn't give him the chance to explain when he showed Jonathan the picture.

Honestly, Jonathan didn't give him a chance to explain. The partnership that Lionel was proposing could've been a partnership to protect Clark.

Yep, I agree. I just saw it again (with tears in the eyes) and .... If it was to protect Clark, why Lionel only talk about the Senate, politics things?
It doesnīt make any sense to me.
