They have tried to hint around about the Lex side of the attraction for a while. A Lex-Lana-Clark triangle is not a bad idea. The problem is that Lexana really don't have that much chemistry.

Lexana is just not built up as a realistic storyline. It's based on characters suffering from memory loss, characters lying to one another and writers who still fail to see what Smallville should be about in the first place.

Lexana is based on something that the writers dropped out of the sky and Clana was built over the years. Any Lexana moment is too too too too many. If any good comes out of it, it should be that Lana is strong, independent, and not memory deprived.

If anything, they've destroyed all future relationships for Clark on this show. He loves Lana and he wants to be with her, but he doesn't want to tell her the truth and put her life in danger. So Lois or any other girl later on is going to get sloppy seconds. This Clana breakup didn't originate because Clark fell out of love with Lana.

The whole "I can't trust you Clark" storyline was done so much better in LOIS & CLARK. That scene where Lois tells Superman that she needs to let him go in order to tell Clark she loves him is one of my favorite Superman scenes of ALL TIME.

We will never see that kind of writing on this show, but then, I just want Clark to fly around and kick Braniac's butt.

Well, here's the thing. Smallville is about Clark and Lana, it always has been in regards to the "main ship" of the show. I think it really depends on how long this show goes on. I think that Lana will find out about Clark and Lex and we'll see what happens from there. I don't see, however, Clana ending until the show is over. By ending, I mean visibly showing that they have feelings for each other. I can see the final episode of the series acting as the closure to their relationship. I just think that they are trying to kill time by using the Lexana storyline because they want to build up Lana learning about Clark. Back in Reckoning, Clark and Lana were together leading up to that episode. I think it's a much more effective reveal if Lana and Clark are apart and things are ugly between them, not to say that I like this lexana storyline as a way to make it ugly between them. I think that Lana's character is going to get a shot in the arm pretty soon, she might find out about Lex and Clark at the same time and keep it to herself, and then make some big time decisions on what she needs to do. That's how I would like to see it play out. I want to see Lana dig her way out of the mess that she created, I don't want any people helping her.

Lex and Lana, IMO, do not have chemistry. But I think this is great acting by Michael Rosenberg. He knows that Lex and Lana aren't supposed to be together. It's interesting.

And... after the little remark about lies that Lana threw at Clark yet again I think Clark should have said, "Lana we aren't going out anymore and so I don't have to listen to your crap anymore."

Just to correct you, it's Michael Rosenbaum. I don't think that Lana and Lex have chemistry but I don't judge a relationship on that, I judge it based on the characters, and they just don't fit. Lex is an evil and supposedly smart guy, although we haven't seen much of it lately, and Lana is a stupid character, and based on that, she comes across as a you know what.

I don't want there to be another Clois bonanza like in S4 since it will just hold Clark back from becoming Superman and would make for those same old boring episodes as in S4 (Gone, Devoted, Facade, Recruit, Krypto, etc, etc). This season has had more action, but still stresses the 'ships too much (instead of the ship/Milton Fine).

I just think in order for him to truly achieve his destiny as Superman, he should have to prove to be able to beat his reckless, much more aggressive Kryptonian side, and once he does, he earns the mantle of becoming the greatest superhero. That way it shows that he can keep himself in check.

The reason why that worked so well was because she worked in the hospital and every episode someone goes to the hospital for some reason or another. I liked Helen though. I hope we also see her before Lexana is over. I think Lana working at Belle Reve as a co-op type program for her college (where a student gets paid to work in the field they're interested in) would give her some of her own stuff to do in S6.

I just think she should be treated there before working though, since she needs help and will need much more help once Cueball is through with her.

The difference was the Clana started pretty strong. I'd argue that ship was pretty good for two and a half seasons. Lexana is just starting and it is already ter-ri-ble.

The ships only get worse as time rolls along and they need to drum up drama. That bodes very, very badly for Lexana and SV.
