Who else agrees? Tom Welling did a great job directing it, the camera angles seemed different to me too, but in a better way, capturing scenes in a more dramatic sense. And this episode really caught even moreso Clark's careing for others.

And I thought the scene when Maddy was leaving to her grandma was so beautiful, and the little drawing topped it off.

I hereby dub thee, a grand episode.

Not the greatest, but a very good one. Some may not agree, but I know many will. :)

Oh and my opinion on the Lexana relationship is neutral, I honestly don't care about it too much, it doesn't phase me.

Yeah, I am also curious if anyone else noticed the different (but better) than usual camera angles.

Yes indeedy! I was very conscious of the unusual camera angles used in this episode. It added some depth to it, I think.

Too bad he doesn't have the power to kick off the other director's and control the rest of the show's fate solo! ^_^ Plus he would be getting paid a hell of alot more.

I noticed the different camera angles, also. I loved it. He gave a subtle new angle to scenes we've seen before, like when Maddie left. How many times have we seen someone leaving the farm in a sad way? But I loved the vast angle we were shown today. There were a couple of other instances, also, that showed unusual depth. Tom is great. He should direct again. I think I can honestly say that even, had I not known it was Tom directing, I would have noticed a difference, and liked it.

I can say the exact same thing, I would go "wow they must have gotten thier sleep the night before for once" or something sarcastic like that ;p

Yes, it would nice to have Tom direct again, maybe next season. He's proven that he can do a great job!

Yeah, I can say as bad as it was, Tom did a good job on the sub plots. The A plot, however was not good.

I liked the last 30 minutes I seen of the episode as I was a bit later in viewing it. But none the less excellent debut as a Director for Tom Welling. I think I could see him do a few more in her career. But that will be a story for another time.

Other wise excellent performance Tom.

I likd enjoyed this episode very much. It was a breath of fresh air from many of the plots we have had lately. FoTW episodes aint bad. I am glad not every episode is a FoTW episode though like they used to be. Anf it was nice to see a nice FoTW.

Yes, I noticed the deep sweeps of the camera. That must be a pain to move and time correctly, but the actors did a great job. The goodbye scene was beautiful with the golden sun streaming across the yard.

I thought it funny that Tom was on camera more in this episode than most others. I remember reading something about the fact that he would have to be off-camera more, or at least more before this episode to prepare for the director job.

Yeah, there were a couple of lines that made me cringe, too, but Tom didn't write it. It's the writers we have a beef with. There were a couple of choppy scenes, too, where Clark moves to grab the father and suddenly the father is flying through the air, but again, that wasn't Tom, that was the editing.

The glass scenes were nice, felt a lot like The Fog a few times.

You Go, Tom! But don't step behind the camera permanently, please!
