Well if I can't do this someone tell me but I wanna write a story based off of a t.v. series I hope I can write. This will be in a first person point of view of my main character Drake Conrad. And feedback is appreciated.

Timeline-Well my season 1

Disclaimer-I own all the characters :)

Ch.1
I woke up my alarms buzzing. The sun shone through the window. I yawned and practically crawled out of bed. I then walked downstairs the chill of the wooden steps on my bare feet waking me up. Then I smelled my mom's blueberry pancakes,yeah it was a normal Monday morning here.

Then I spotted my mom adjusting her makeup and throwing on a pink t-shirt and some jeans. Yeah my mom was pretty much in a hurry all the time what with her radio show and everything and living in Florida didn't make it any better.

But she didn't notice and I just let her be. Monday was one of her busiest days besides at least dad made up for her absence sometimes. Speaking of dad he was sitting at the table downing a few pancakes and some milk. I like to think I got my hair from him. He has brown hair thats short cut compared to my moms jet black hair. But I got mom's hair color which isn't that bad. Just then I walked into the kitchen.

"Good morning Drake." I heard dad say warmly.

"Hey dad." I called back.

Then I took a seat at the table and ate. I wasn't really that hungry today so I managed about 2 pancakes and a glass of milk.

Suddenly mom walked into the kitchen and she asked sweetly,

"Okay boys be honest how do I look?"

"Great." I said sarcastically.

She popped me in the arm and flashed me a smile.

"Very funny,what do you think Carlos?" She said turning to dad.

"You look okay to me honey." He said kissing he quickly on the cheek.

"Alright,well gents wish me luck with my fans today,and hope you guys'll be listening."

"Don't worry mom your fans practically worship you,and mom have we ever missed a broadcast?"

"Guess not well goodbye boys." She said walking toward the door. Dad then shouted,

"Alicia don't sweat it."

She smiled at us and dissappeared out the door and we heard the familiar roar of her red Explorer until we couldn't hear it any more.

Then after I finished I checked a clock it read 6:30. Then I ran upstairs or jogged. And then I took a quick shower,brushed my teeth,you know the whole setup. Then I out on some fresh clothes.
Today I decided to wear my black Nike shirt and some jeans topped off with my gray hoody and my white Adidas running shoes.

Then I grabbed my backpack hurriedly and was downstairs in a flash. I saw dad downstairs now,he was dressed in his suit carrying a lesson plan. That was an upside for having dad as a teacher,I can get to school in no time and not get in trouble.

Then I smiled at him and said jokingly,

"Dad is it me or are you getting slower."

'Watch it or I might just have to fail you." He said smirking.

We then walked out and jumped into his jeep. Yeah a teacher with a jeep,thats also a perk for being related to a teacher of the year/fencing instructor. Then I buckled my seatbelt and dad started the car and my thoughts changed from dad to Rachel as we sped off to Millten High.

(Sorry this chapter wasn't very exciting just wait a bit :).)

Ch.2
I snapped out of my little dream when I saw the familiar brick looking buildings of the school and it's many classrooms. Then I heard a familiar voice.

"Hey Drake!" I turned and saw Shelly. Wow she had changed a little over the weekend,looks like she got her hair done. Shelly is a blond with attitude and a big love of racing. Her personal favorite it motorcross. Anyway I turned to her and said,

"Hey Shelly." I said getting out of the jeep. Then my dad followed and patted my back and said,

"Well kids see you all later." And then my dad walked off to his first class to set up.

Then I walked with Shelly and she talked aobut her race over the weekend and how she blew away the competition and earned a fair amount of money too,about $1,000. Just then Jacob came up behind me and practically scared me to death.

I turned while Shelly was laughing her head off.

"Jacob what did we say about you doing that." I said punching his arm jokingly.

"Well Drake we didn't say anything about it." Jacob said smiling.

Jacob is a black kid with a love for basketball and puzzles. I know weird combination but he's still cool to hang out with unless you play him in basketball he's got a fair competitive streak.

"Yeah sure so you guys,what shall we do after school today?"

"Not sure but just don't let us interupt your and Rachel's date." Shelly said jokingly.

"I don't like Rachel that much." I said defensively.

"Sure,Jacob said,I bet if you wanted a tatoo I bet it'd say I heart Rachel." Jacob finished laughing.

"Shut up." I said punching him hard in the arm.

Just then Rachel walked up,I've liked her for awhile now we're not close but we're at least on friendly terms. She is one of the prettiest girls in school. She has strawberry blond hair,an awesome smile,great eyes,and she knows tons of ways to defend herself.

She then walked over to me my head spun my legs felt like jelly.

"Hey Drake,how was your weekend?"

"Fine,super actually,yours?"

"So so,I kind of well ended up accidentily dropping pizza on myself,I was so embarassed."

"Sounds interesting." Just then I heard the bell ring.

"Oh the bell well see ya at lunch Drake,bye." She said nodding goodbye and meeting up with her gang of girlfriends and dissapearing.

I stood there in silence until my friends snapped me out of it.

"Yo Romeo,stop drooling and lets go."

Shelly said sharply and her, Jacob,and I walked off to first period all the while my head spinning.

Ch.3
I walked out of class looking at my test grade.

Jacob glanced over my shoulder at it with Shelly walking behind us.

"Ouch man looks like you won't be doing anything social for awhile."

"Maybe I'll get lucky and dad won't ask about it."

"Ha,Shelly laughed,knowing your dad,your screwed." Then she snagged the paper from me giving me a small paper cut.

I rubbed my hand luckily it wasn't bad.

Shelly glanced at the paper and saw a 54 written in bold red on the top of my Algebra quiz.

"Yeah Drake I was right,your screwed." Then she handed it back. Just then Jacob gave us a goodbye.

"Later guys gotta go,basketball practice."

"Yeah Drake we don't want coach to kill the star before the first game Friday."

"Yeah even though he's not much of a star anyway." I said smirking.

Jacob waved goodbye as he walked down the hall fixing his backpack over his shoulder.

Me and Shelly walked a little bit and I accidently bumped into Mary Warren.

And her books fell to the ground.

"Oh sorry." I said glancing down at her.

"It's alright,I'm fine." She said picking up her books and running down the hall to her class.

She had sounded a bit freaked then I glanced down the hall,great Jenna and her cheerleader cronies were messing with her. But me and Shelly made it to second period. I wanted to say something but I didn't even though that could have saved me alot of trouble later on.

Anyway me and Shelly got to Ms. Kyle's class right after the bell and we sat at our usual spots. Back row second to last seats.
This was my favorite class besides my dads,English was never too bad,except for well today. We'd started Romeo and Juliet earlier in the week. I couldn't understand almost a word of it but Shelly swept through it. Though I suspect the only reason she was being like this and yet so quiet is because she wants Ms. Kyle to show the Romeo and Juliet movie with Leonardo Decaprio in it after we were done reading it.

But little did I know in this class my life would begin to change forever.

Hey JD!Here I'm :).I like what you have written so far even if this is an original fic and not a Chlark story ***waves hands around***you're corrupting me ;).Just kidding I love to read in general.In my room I have two really big bookcases and I need another one I have four boxes full of books and the list keeps growing XD.So I'll be glad to read whatever you write OK?

I must say that you have a very good start.I really want to see where you story is going.My favorite character is Shelly, perhaps because I love racing and my friends say I have an attitude :p.

Ch.4
As we read I was BORED. Maybe I shouldn't have gone to bed so later last night,12:00. I tried to follow but all I read was blah blah blah.
This was torture then I dropped my pencil as I worked on worksheets Ms. Kyle gave us. I bent down and grabbed for it. At that point I was well angry plus my mind was well emptier than usual. Just then my pencil was in my hand. It was really weird too last I knew I was thinking abut getting my pencil and now it was resting in my palm.

It was probably just my eyes playing tricks on me. I then continued with work then I felt something like someone just wet my back with ice cold water. Yet when I felt my back it was dry but the cold feeling stayed. Then I noticed a weird sight my shadow was clearer than usual,it was bizarre. Then I thought I saw the shadows of others layed before me like some weird grid. Then I blinked and it was gone. Then I heard the bell. And as I gathered my stuff I glacned back at my feet no shadow.

I was beginning to think I really was crazy,no reason for my friends to know about this. Then I walked toward the cafateria Shelly then came up from behind.

"Hey D so whats with you you look like you saw a ghost."

"I'm cool,I lied,I'm just feeling a bit sick."

"Well you better make sure your in good enough condition to ask Rachel out,you are asking her to the dance right?"

"I'm not sure I'm a charmingly sarcastic ABC honor roll student and she's well,perfect."

"Well if your not sure about going with Rachel,maybe...we could go you know as friends."

"Well if I get turned down,I'll go with you,Shell." I said staring into Shelly's eyes smiling.

"Thanks so Romeo when are you gonna ask Rachel?"

"Well I'm not sure yet."

"Nows a good a time as any." Shelly said staring at Rachel sitting at a table surrounded by her cheerleader friends.

I had to admit part of why I liked Rachel was well she was different she wasn't a cheerleader and she was tougher then most girls. She was sort of an expert at karate and some other stuff but what she really liked to do in school was take pictures and act.

Then I was snaped out of thinking by Shelly pushing me forward.

I bumped Rachel's table but luckily most of her clique were gone with their boyfriends or using the restroom.

"Hey again Rachel." I said smiling at her and steadily building my courage.

"Hey Drake,whats up?" She asked noticing I was a bit nervous. Her briliant blue eyes cutting into me.

"Well,I began nervously,I was wondering if you could...well...ah,I finally said it nearing the end,I was wondering if you'd like to go to the dance with me."

I waited for the answer in stunned silence.

"Well,sorry Drake I can't I'm busy that night I have to work late,sorry."

"It's alright maybe next time."
I said solemly walking into the lunch line.

Well things couldn't get much worse I thought. Then I got my food and took my usual spot by Shelly and Jacob. At least going with Shelly would be fun.

I'm here Clark:). I really like this story so far, even if it isn't Chlark.

This story is practicly based on Smallville (or could be if not). The pilot episode. Drake is Clark, Shelly is Chloe, Rachel is Lana, and Jacob is Pete. Clark (Drake) just had something to do with his powers and lied about it when Chloe (Shelly) asked him about it. When Clark (Drake) asked Lana (Rachel) to the dance he got rejected because she couldn't go (lana was going with whitney, rachel had other plans,) so then Clark (Drake) and Chloe (Shelly)went to the dance together. And Pete is black and likes basketball just like Jacob. Rachel is the one of the prettiest girls in school and popular just like Lana. Drake has powers and is friends with a black boy a white girl, has a crush on the Rachel/Lana, and is only on friendly terms with her just like Clark. Shelly is blond, friends with two boys, (not sure if she likes journelism and has a crush on Drake yet)and is encouraging Drake to ask Rachel out just like Chloe did with Clark. If you ask me (which you didn't :p) This story basicly is Smallville, with a little different character names and lives at home (Drake isn't a farmer and his parents aren't farmers).

...Anyways I really like this story like most of your other ones and hope you continue to write more of it, it's really interesting and I enjoy reading it:). Not many people look to this section of fan fiction so don't get discouraged if a bunch of people don't reply:). This is a really cool story and I look forward to reading more of it:).

Well, JD, it's good, and what I'm waiting to see is how you develop your hero, Drake. The similarities between your story and Smallville don't really matter. What matters is where you take the story from here.

Yeah and besides you haven't seen my villain yet and yeah Brooke pointed out how similar Smallville and my show are but I still have plenty more characters to add in as well as the villain and my first "FOTW"

I heard Jacob start to talk as soon as I sat down.

"So I hear your going with Shelly to the dance."

"Yes he is." Shelly said twirling a bit of her long blond hair around her finger glaring at me jokingly.

"Yeah I am."

"Rachel was taken right." Jacob said smirking.

"Yeah she had other plans."

"More like she's seeing another man." Jacob said laughing.

"No if she asked another guy we would have seen him with her this morning and just now at her table."

"Right." Jacob said finishing off his chicken sandwhich.

"Whatever." I said starting on my cheeseburger. I stopped after eating about half and Shelly had finished her lunch and she and Jacob were gonna walk outside. I threw my trash away and followed,and they called me the leader of this little group.

Once we got outside I saw another friend Becca. I felt a pang in my heart for her she had just recently lost her dad in a fire he was a fireman and had gone in to rescue a kid stuck on about the second floor of an apartment complex dowtown. He had kept the ladder steady so the kid could climb down but he never came out. I walked over to her as Jacob and Shelly walked off to talk to Matt.

"Hey Becca." I said. I din't think she had heard me and she looked suprised.

"Hi Drake." She said quietly. I saw a look of sadness on her face and in her green eyes. She put her hand through her platinum hair.

"You okay?" I asked friendly.

"Yeah,it's just been so hard Drake since dad died,but I know he wouldn't want me moping but sometimes I can't help it and plus his birthday would be tomorrow." Then she cried and I held her gently.

"It's okay,you can make it I know it." I said helping her get her face up and handing her a napkin from a bench outside.

"Thanks Drake,sorry I got teary."

"It's fine oh and you might wanna go clean up your not lookin so attractive right now."

She laughed and her face brightened.

"Thanks see ya later." She said kissing my cheek.

I blushed and waved goodbye as she dissapeared inside. Then I shook it off and I walked over to Jacob,Shelly and now joining them Matt.

Matt Sharp is well in one word a musician. He loves playing the keyboard,I don't really know how it works which I might be thankful for since he would probably bug me about it. And he is kind of on the chubby side and he has long brown hair and brown eyes.

"Matt." I said jokingly.

"Drake,buddy." Matt said jokingly high fiving me.

"So how'd the concert go last week?" I asked curiously.

"Well we got a standing ovation."

"Really?"

"Yeah thanks to me." He smiled then we all heard the bell ring loud and clear.

"Well thats are cue." I said saying goodbye to Matt and me Shelly and Jacob began the trek to 3rd period. We picked up our backpacks and walked off. And 3rd period happened to be well dad's class.

Ch.6
We were in sight of dad's room a bit later.
Strangely I couldn't wait for dad's class I always looked forward to his mythology class. Me and my friends entered through the back and set our stuff down and grabbed our Mythology books and took our regular seats across from each other. Just then the late bell rang and everyone else arrived.

Then the door opened and my dad walked in.

"Hello class,and Drake." He said smiling.

Some of the students sniggered at me I was to busy blushing.

He then turned out the lights and turned on an overhead projector sending an image on the front board in the darkened room.

"Alright class today we'll be learning about the creatures of myth,here is a prime example,you might know what it is so how about I get some volunteers."

I found this was too easy I was raising my hand when I saw Becca walk in late. Some eyes turned back to her.

Dad stopped talking and walked over to her and took her pass and let her take a seat. I waved at her as she walked by my desk she smiled and waved back.

"Allright,dad began again,so back to the mystery here what is this creature?" He then looked at me.

"Dad come on you could have picked something harder that is a Kraken."

He turned and looked at the picture of the huge squid and faced me again smiling. "Very good this a Kraken,but today we will start with other Greek beasts,turn to page 22 and sketch the Cyclops and label it and then read pages 25-31 and answer the questions on page 32 and you'll be done for the day."

I then grabbed some paper and got to work. In dads class I was well strangely more confident where as some students would be embarrassed and nervous. I finished the drawing pretty quickly,even though I could never draw very well even if my life depended on it.

Then the labeling was easy and the questionswere a review of the myth of Perseus it was so easy I had to be the first done and I placed my work on dads desk confidently.

Then I probably fell asleep. But luckily like 10-20 minutes later the bell woke me from my sleep and I said my goodbyes to dad and walked off with my friends but Becca confronted me outside of class.

"Hey Drake."

"Hey Becca,what's up?"

"Well I was wondering if you could go to the homecoming dance with me."

"Well Becca I planned to go with Shelly but I think I might be able to convince Shelly to go with Matt." I said smiling at her but feeling really horrible at the same time.

I had really wanted to go with Rachel but I was turned down and decided to go with Shelly but now I was blowing Shelly off for Becca,man my life was hard.

"Okay Drake well if you can call me." She said handing me a slip of paper with her phone number on it in black ink.

"Alright,well gotta go,see ya." I said walking off toward 4th period,the last perios of the day.

And it also happened to be my Science class and another uninteresting one for me,Biology. At first I thought it would be a lot easier but it was much harder then I had expected especially with my teacher's love for giving us tons of vocab to do as well as bookwork.

I took my seat and I remembered I still had to tell dad my grade on my Algebra test. Oh that would be nice. I thought sarcastically.
Then I started on the work ignoring all disctraction and also absentmindedly waiting for the bell.

Good update :) even if I feel like bashing Drake, he's an ass.My assumptions about Becca were right, he is dip sh*t now with Shelly.Friend or not that is one of the worst things that you could do to a girl.And what kind of girl is that Becca? she knows that he was going to go with Shelly and she doesn't back down :(

Well JD even if I'm all riled up about that, I love the update.So I hope you post soon.Besides I love Mythology when I was 9 years old I knew the greek,nordic and roman myths :)

Man that science class could've killed me I was just thankful to be out and after I had finished my work I was deep in thought. I couldn't just dump Shelly to go with Becca and why did Becca wanna go with me anyway?

I made sure I caught Becca after class.

"Hey Becca we gotta talk."

"Alright Drake."

"It's about homecoming I'm already going with someone sorry if I lead you on earlier."

"Really,oh I feel like such an idiot I'm sorry if I put you in a tough spot,well thanks for telling me thought most guys wouldn't have done that."

"Well my friends are important to me."

"That's awfully noble Drake well see ya around." She said giving me a bright yet somewhat sorrowful look and walked off.

(Shelly's POV)
I was so excited Drake had actually asked me out,but I was curious why this excited me. I mean we had been friends for awhile. I mean I've known the guy since practically his diaper days. But what came to my mind suprised even me I wasin love with my best friend. Nothing difficult about it.

But what I really needed was a dress.

hope you liked the little bit of Shelly's POV I might change to a few other characters POV later too. Shelly's was a test run :)

(Drake's POV)
I caught up with Shelly on my way to the bus ramp I was actually in a fairly good mood and thankful that I had no homework and a 3 day weekend to look forward to. I think my mood was effecting me.

"Hey Shell."

"Hey,so you sleep through Biology again?" She asked smirking at me.

"Nope managed to keep my eyes open half the period,then I went to sleep." I said jokingly.

"So ready to go with me to the homecoming dance soon."

"I was born ready." I said winking at her. I caught her blushing and a bit off guard. And I felt something for Shelly that I never had noticed before just then Jacob startled me again.

"Hey lovebirds I knew I'd find you two out here."

That did it we were both blushing now. Then Shelly smacked him jokingly yet hard on the shoulder I heard the loud SMACK man that had to hurt.

"Ouch!." Jacob practically screamed.

"Serves you right,but hey don't you have a game tonight?"

"Yeah,Jacob said rubbing his sore arm,against the Caynonville Wildcats."

"Well hope you got some moves ready. Remember last time you went up against them Mr. Overconfident the team got crushed thanks to you." I said laughing.

"Ha ha Mr. Conrad today we'll win for sure,count on it." Jacob finished as we heard our bus roll to a stop. Time to head for home.

(Mary's POV if you need to go back to find Mary check Ch.3)
Today was so horrible first Jenna and her cheeleading air heads push me to the brink of insanity agian what with there constant taunting and other stuff. I can't take it anymore.

My mind was filled with dark thoughts as I walked down the bust street home sometimes they made me so angry. Little did I know my anger would lead to a great discovery. In my bad mood I had accidently walked into the oncoming traffic I reacted and something insode me snapped I put my hands out in front of me bracing myself for bone crunching impact.

But I didn't feel anything and thats when I opened my eyes the car had actually run me over I then got up my body was flat and suddenly it stretched back to normal. It wa like I was made of rubber but hen I looked down and saw litle putty like pieces at my feet. Well maybe not rubber I thought.

Maybe I could test out my powers and I grinned darkly as I thought of the perfect subject my mother never really cared for me and she had a bit of a drug problem. Also I was gifted with well inteligence while she wasted her life looking for her next fix. I'd put and end to her and her attitude,anyway she was mentally abusive at times when she was on drugs. So it was time to get payback.

Awww Thanks JD!I'm very happy that Drake is smarter than our favorite BDA.That gives you extra points in your show hon ;) Besides I'm going to stick to your show untill the end,just remember to keep the producers and the fans happy LOL.

I really like your character's POV.It's very useful to give a better insight to the character's emotions and thoughts.

Loved the POV format.It adds depth of understanding to the characters and flow of the story.Can't wait to see how you develop and let Drake handle his powers.I wonder how he got his powers.Is he an alien?Your first villain is pretty interesting and wicked! Bloody Mary! Lol! I'm excited about the homecoming dance too! Hope a natural disaster doesn't interfere with it.Good job,JD! Ch.9
(Mary's POV) I looked down at my hands covered in blood revenge sweet in my mind. It felt so good to be free of my mother and her somewhat dark prescense. I then took a shower to cleam myself of evidence. While I showered I thought off my powers. They were so incredible I couldn't be harmed,I could reapir myself if I took damage,and I could kill swiftly. Then I changed into a green shirt and some jeans and did my hair up in honor of the occassion. Just then I noticed the calander and I remembered I had circled the date of the homecoming dance,just a few more days then my ultimate vengeance.

(Drake's POV)
I got home sort of early today,about 3:41 or so. I had to admit it was good to be home. I then noticed dad was home already.

'Alright Drake get ready mom should be on the radio in a bit quick turn it on quick."

Then I reached for our compact radio and flipped a switch.
Then I adjusted it to the station and waited.

Soon my mom oculd be heard.

"Hello Millten alright today I've decided to speak with somone about this big story,the mutant population. Please welcome Evan Reeve everyone,he is a scientist. I s that correct Mr. Reeve?"

"Yes sometimes." "But seriously Mrs. Conrad,I'm working on experiments to well aid mutants in control of their sometimes uncontrollable mutant abilities,I do give to charity,and a few other things."

"Well sounds interesting."

Just then the station went off with static.

"Well dad looks like we can't listen now."

"Good point." He said smiling drinking some root beer.

"Hey dad what do you know about Evan Reeve?"

"Well I know that he's a scientist,and well his son has shared some major moola with him so he can do those experiments of his." "Thats about all I kow."

"Alright." I said. But why did I not trust that guy? Then I said goodbye to dad as I went to meet a friend.

(Shelly's POV)
Alright time to get a dress. I thought walking into the nearest store. Right off I found the perfect dress it was a light purple and it was strapless. I could pull the look off or at least I hope so. Then later on I bought some new shoes as well. And after a busy day of shopping I was definitely ready for a dance to remember. Just then my cell phone rang it was Drake.

(Drake's POV)
I decided to call Shelly mainly to ask if she was ready for the dance tomorrow. Honestly I still wasn't ready but luckily dad got me a tux.

"Hey Shell." I said.

"Drake,whats up?"

"Well I was just calling to ask if your ready for tomorrow." I said honestly.

"Yes,actually I bought my dress and everything just now."

"Really great,I got my tux but I still have a few things left to get before our big entrance tomorrow."

"I'm sure we'll look decent. Oh and how did our favorite basketball player do last night."

"Well,I said solemly,we won!"

"Really great."

"And our buddy made the winning shot." I said lightly.

"Wow so who's he going with?"

"Well last I heard every cheerleader wanted to go with him but I think he might be going with Jenna."

"Are you serious,Jenna "the man tamer" Phillips."

"Yeah,I'm praying for him right now actually." I said sarcastically.

"Oh Drake I forgot wanna meet up in the mall I can help you pick out my stuff since,well last time you got me a birthday present it wasn't pretty."

"Still haven't forgiven me for that,well alright I'll ask dad which means yeah see ya in a few."

"Alright,bye."

I hung up and walked to dad on the couch.

"So dad do you care about taking me to the mall,I gotta meet Shelly."

"Alright we better get going tomorrows almost here."

"Okay thanks dad."

"No prob Drake." Dad said hustling me into his jeep. And soon me and dad were off to meet Shelly in front of the mall.

(Shelly's POV)
I felt lighter then air after Drake got off the phone with me. And it looked like I'd get to do a bit more shopping for myself today anyway. I looked around for my mom but tehn remembered she had just left after I told her about Drake coming. Man my mom was always os busy, a news anchirs work was never done.

Just then I heard the familiar sound of Drake's dads jeep and soon Drake was out walking toward me with his dad behind him.

"Hey." I said hugging him.

"Hello." I heard Drake say as he hugged me back. Then Drake's dad motioed us on as we went into the mall.

(Evan's POV)
That foolish woman. I thought as my limo pulled into the secret hideaway. Mutants were power to be controlled or destroyed. Mutants could also hold the key to immortality as well or a myriad if other secrets man had been searching for for millions of years.
But people like Alicia Conrad wanted to live with mutants in peace,pathetic. I put a hand through my hair adjusting a few of the white hairs. Then I heard the limo stop and I exited the vehicle. Then I saw a metallic door on the far right. I wa;lked to it,swiped my id card on it and stepped in the dorr as it slid up and then back down. And I watched a stream of lights as the elevator went down into the dark. Soon the elevator stopped and I stepped out.

I breathed in the smell and the feeling of the cold in the room. I checked the computers and data. Just then I heard a noise and turned and found a familiar figure.

"Ah Darren my friend have you found anymore subjects to improve?"

"Thats a negative sir,but I've heard rumors of mutant activity near the high school."

"Interesting but if the school's cameras didn't find anything how can we be sure."

"Well we can check the cameras and all the tapes at the homecoming dance."

"Good idea,and for your sake I hope this isn't just a wild goose chase because I'm beginning to suspect you started this rumor."

"Yes sir. Oh and sir,what if we find something?"

"Well we will take the dangerous creature into custody of course then "cure" it."

I turned to check the mutant database again. I hope I can find something.

(Rachel's POV)
I sat outside near the woods listening to the sounds and looking at the trees. It was so peaceful out here I hated going home. my dad was a nice guy but after he got drunk he was completely different so furious and abusive physically(I had some bruises to prove it) and mentally. In his drunken state it'd only take a little thing to throw him over the edge. Of course his drinking started after mom died and after he realized I wouldn't be around forever after high school.

Thats when he snapped. Then as I walked down the path I saw a bird flying and secretly I wished I could be free like that to go wherever I chose. At school no one had no idea. I just wanted something to happen for the best. Little did I know what tonight would bring.

I got home at a later time then usual considering my forest detour and my after school photo activities. Dad would be pissed and really wasted by now.

I opened the door slowly thinking of my life,Drake,and my stupid excuse.

(Becca's POV)
Why was I so stupid,I'd heard Drake was going with Shelly and yet I got him into a tough spot out've my crush on him. Luckily he'd fixed things. But why did I feel the way I did about him? We had nothing in common that much I was pretty much wacky and loud. And he was a joker. But now I was so shy around him.

I walked through the graveyard and found dads grave I read his tombstone again even though I had memorized them for so long.

(Drake's POV)
I got home later then expected I had bought some stuff with Shelly's help and some suggestions from dad but I said goodnight as I slinked upstairs and I knew I'd need plenty of rest considering tomorrow was the big day. Dad in the meantime stayed downstairs to welcome mom home for the remainder of the weekend. Also to remind mom that she and he were chaparones.

I drifted off to sleep as I heard mom's Explorer slow in the driveway.

(Rachel's POV)
I was cold tired sore and alone. Dad was so pissed and he beat me until I actually fought back this time. But he would be up and around soon so I ran. I ran into the woods and hid behind my favorite tree. Then I cried and cried suddenly a sharp pain along my back. It went from a burning sensation to a seering pain and suddenly I felt two masses bulge under my shirt and suddenly my blue shirt's back was ripped to shreads by large,white,wings?!

What was happening I had no idea but I was overcome by some joy of flight as I leapt into the air and glided around spinning and twirling enjoying the freedom I had. I was great and then I decided to stop and I landed. But now I really needed some new clothes and some control over these wings. i had almost crashed a few times anyway.

But practice makes perfect I thought to myself causing a smile to show on my bruised face.

(Drake's POV)
The morning had gone by lightning fast. Nothing interesting had happened unless you count my older brother calling for a chat. Yeah Derek was in college by now,or out I couldn't remember. We had parted on bad terms though but I just didn't want tot talk to him.

Also lunch and mid afternoon passed by quickly as well. I got a call from Jacob confirming that he was going with Jenna one thing about Jacob though when he's happy he shouts to much.

I put a few last minute touches to my tux. Dusting it off,straightening it,etc. But I was pretty much ready after Jacob's call. My parents look pretty elegant to say the least. Dad was wearing his best "teaching" clothes. While mom was wearing a flowing rust colored dress and some high heels.

I held Shelly corsage and looked at it,this was one of the things Shelly didn't pick out and I was happy for that. I looked up and down the dark blue pedals and the dark red flowers. It might be a mismatch but Shelly was special enough to mismatch. Then I opened the door and exited with my parents. Time to go pick up my date.

(Rachel's POV)
I packed with a heavy heart. Dad had woken up from his drunken rage and hugged me tight and cried and we shared a good cry before I went to bed. I felt bad leaving without me here dad would either drink himself to liver disease or something worse like suicide. But I hoped in my heart he wouldn't. Also I thought of my friends who would miss me but I'd find a way to gget back to school.

Then out of the blue I thought of Drake. This was the first time I thought of his "invite" to the dance. Now I felt horrible but I silently swore that I'd make it up to him someday.
Then I stood up flung my small pack filled with money,food,and a few other necesities on my back. Then I opened the window slightly the cold blast of wind chilling me a bit through my jeans and altered for flight white sweater. But then I went into "flight mode" and was sweeped up in the joy of flight as I took off out the window. And I flew and saw the glow of a city below and also the glow of another sprawling one ahead. I flew on to Layton and didn't look back at what I left behind.

(Drake's POV)
When I saw Shelly I was in awe she looked more beautiful then any other time I'd seen her. She had her hair in a bun and she wore the light purple dress she'd shown me a day earlier. Also she wore some interesting black high heels. And I handed her the corsage she accepted it and slid it on her left wrist. And she pstuck mine into place. we smiled at each other and I saw Shelly's parents at the window looking out smiling then the curtain closed and I said gentlemanly.

"Milady our carraige awaits." I said pointing at the Explorer my parents waving from inside.

'Alright sir we better get going before the punch is gone."

"OK sounds good." And I held her close,the wind was pretty cold.

Soon we were in the car the heater warming us up a bit.

And we talked and shared our minor excitment and nervousness.

And before we knew it we were in front of the made over gym and glancing around first at the disco ball that had been installed and the punch table. But what we couldn't believe was that the school had boked the Calling to sing. This would be night to remember for sure. I saw my parents head of to chat so me and Shelly walked in finally and listnened to a song or two.

(Mary's POV)
I made it it was time for vengeance. And there's my target. I thought to myself as I saw the beach blond Jenna talking with her cheerleader pals and near them was a tall black kid with a shaved head and a cup of punch in his hand. I'd have to kill him too,not witnesses. Tonight I would remember always. i thought as a grin crossed my face.

(Shelly's POV)
I can't believe me and Drake finally made it on the dance floor. We had some punch and we chatted some more but I think Drake really wanted to dance as much as me. So we walked out and during the perfect song actually me and Drake's favorite calling song:Wherever You Will Go.

We danced slow my heart had left to my throat. This image had een in my dreams so many times. And soon I felt like it was just the two of us on the dance floor. And then I couldn't help myself,I kissed him. To my suprise he kissed back and we kept the kiss locked for a few moments until I stiopped it. We both blushed bright red.

"Sorry."

"No it was...well good."

"Really?"

"Yeah."

"Hey I'm gona get some punch." I said.

I walked over to the punch table. Why did I say that,why!

Now I felt stupid but that kiss was just like in one of my dreams it'd made my night. Just then I heard a scream and people began to run in panic I couldn't see what was going on and I was pushed back out've the building and was forced to wait out in the cold surrounded by other terrified people for the one I loved.

(Drake's POV)
I heard the scream and I snuck off to check it out. i knew Shelly would hate me for this but I had to find out what was going on. People were running out like crazy from where the scream originated. Something was going on.

I made it into the room and found Mary Warrne surrounding Jenna and her cheerleading cronies and an unconscious Jacob. He had a minor cut on his head and it looked like Mary wasn't gonna take any prisoners.

I took a deep breath as I threw myself into her catching her offguard and toppling her at the same time. Then Jeanna dn the others got Jacob to his feet and ran off. Mayb ethey weren't so bad after all.

Mary turned her head around and her body came back together. Aww so nasty. What was she made of?

:You,i almost had revnege why did you stop me?!"

"I couldn't let you hurt anyone no matter what."

'They don't care about anyone but popular people and themselves."

"That may be but it's to late now your thr threat,you could've made it easier and told someone about them,now your life's down the drain." I turned my back on her which was amistake I my part.

SOmething cut into my arm I looked down and found my tux sleeveslit open and my arm bleeding profusely.

"It's all your fault I could've had revenge,anything I wanted after I finished them. Anything!"

"Mary it's not too late I can help just calm down."

"Never!" Then he arm morphed into a huge bricklike mass and crashed towards me. i leapt out of the way and hit the ground rolling. Just then I felt someting in my head and my vision changed. i saw shadows again but his time only Marry's. but I could see where the others had been since some trails of shadow remained.

But mainly I was suprised by the what I saw it was incredible. I also wondered though if I could fight.

I then thought of something like controlling her arm and I saw a strange sight a part of my shadow had attached to her Shadow's arm. Interesting. Then I made a hand mition and she was hitting herself,amazing I could control other people?

Then I got up brushing myself off.

Mary's face popped back from being flattened by her own fist she glared at me and she was seemingly startled by something.

"What are you?"

"What are you talking about?"

"Your eyes there red."

"Really."

"Yes,but I don't care how you changed but I have a feeling you did tha just now. And if thats all you can do you won't defeat me."
She dove at me again this time grabbing me and tossing me down I hit the ground hard.

But now she was crushing me she had moved around my body like a snake and she was hardening her body and crushing me at the same time.

My anger was building and also the fear I wouldn't make it out. Until it reached a boiling point and escaped.

"Stop!!!"

Suddenly she flew from my body into a wall her body crumbling apart. She formed again angrier then ever. i wans runnin gout've time . Then I dove for the door to the shop building maybe that would by me time. But then she busted through the door and she grabbed me as I dove for cover. As I went down I saw a blow torch. I reached for it and it came into my hand. I had powers. But I put that aside a turne the torch on and threw it at her it hit her dead on but she flung it back into a machin that was still on. I saw it earl enough to dive from the room and start runnuning but Mary wasn't and the building shuddered and dissapeared into a pile of debris and smoke and fire.

I held my arm and then I found the wound was gone and I noticed my shadows looked darker and I was healing? And then I figured something out. Maybe the darkness healed me. Just then I remembered Shelly and ran back toward the front of the gym.

That was fun!I like it a lot.It was very visual, Mary being flattened with her own hand was priceless.I find Drake's powers very interesting I didn't think in something like this.It's pretty cool that he can heal in the shadows :)

(Drake's POV)
I made it back of course by that time the police were there and a few others considering everyone got a bit skidish because of the smoke. Eventually I found Shelly to.
I just threw myself at her.

"Shelly."

She turned a smile crossing her face.

"Drake are you okay,what was going on?"

"Well I think there was some mutant over there,and to make things worse it was Mary. I managed to help Jenna,her friends, and Jacob escape. Then I got outta there someone must have stopped her."

'Well I'm just glad your okay." Shelly said kissing me.

Then I remebered Jacob.

"Hey lets go look for Jacob." I said to Shelly.

"Good plan." Shelly said and we ran off in search of Jacob. Soon we found him walking away from the medicshis head bandaged.

"Jacob." We both said at the same time.

"Hey guys,yeah return of the hero. I got my butt kicked by a plastic woman and Jenna and her clique had to drag me out,I just wish I could've who stopped her." "You guys know anything?"

"Nope."

"Same here."

Well guys I'll see ya guys tomorrow as usual." I said walking to my parents.

"Drake glad to see your alright son." Dad said.

"Yeah kiddo we were worried about you." Mom said kissing my cheek.

"Guys,lets just go home." I said. And my parents smiled as we walked away,I couldn't wait to go to bed,so tired.

(Evan's POV)
I arrived after the families and such had left. My assistant Mellisa was with me.
"So Melissa what did you find?"

"Well sir I've found some hair but not enough oh and a drop or two of blood."
I saw Melissa swab the blood and put it on a petri dish.

"Oh and Melissa is Mary secure?"

"Yes sir."

"Good." I said confidently. Then I and Melissa walked back to the limo. As I sat down my mind was calculating. Who could have stopped the girl,or what?

(Drake's POV)
After last night's fiasco I was very tired. But I still managed to get up my regular time. At about 7:00. When I got down stairs dad was on the phone and mom was gone yet again. I got some milk and poured it in a glass and listened to my dad talk.

"So son your coming home,greathows Debbie?"

"Broke up well there are plenty more fish in the sea,so Derek when you gettin here?"

"Today,alright can't wait and I bet your mom and Drake'll be exstatic,alrigh see you later then. Alright bye."

I heard dad hang up the phone,Derek was coming home? This was a bit weird especially since he'd left for college just a few years ago and gotten a steady girlfriend.nd now it was all down the drain.

But I decided to foget it me and Shelly were going to a movie since Jacob was visiting his grandpa,we had to find a way to get rid of our boredom.

Then I ate some toast and finished my milk and went upstairs and changed. Today I decided to wear a light blue shirt and some jeans. I walked downstairs and said goodbye to dad. Dad was a bit busy grading tests,he'd put it off for a few days and so he got what he deserved. But I wasn't gonna disturb him.

So I began to walk to Shelly's house when a car pulled up in the driveway it was a red,white,and blue truck. And someone opened the door and stepped out. I was in shock when I recognized the person as my brother! His hair was slicked back a bit,he was wearing shades,and he was well scuffier than usual but he was mostly the same except for that truck where had he gotten that?

But I was caught off guard when he started talking.

"Hey little bro,it's good being home."

*cue theme song*

"Hey D ready for the movie?"

"Yeah got some money right here,so your parents are gone again?"

"Yup,but thats what I get with a nurse for a mom and a dad who has a vampire's schedule."

"Yeah,hey Derek came back today."

"Your brother,hey why aren't you at home with him catching up?"

"Well I have a weird feeling about him being home."

"Oh you." Shelly said smiling.

"Yeah joke,lets just say I'm worried for him."

"Whatever,by the way um...I was just curious if we're actually a couple considering that kiss at homecoming."

"Well..a defnitely." I said sweating a bit.

Shelly smiled but then said,
"Okay,but just to make sure,prove it."

"Um..alright." I said and we stared at each other and I kissed her on teh lips without a second thought. We held it for a few moments before Shelly stopped it and stared at me smiling and she said,"good enough for me."

And she held my hand on our way to the movie theater.

(Drake's POV)
Me and Shelly got out of the movie. I had to admit it was pretty good. Even though I had the misfortune of buying some popcorn that had been burnt.

"So Shelly what'd you think of the movie Shelly?"

"I was all right, I guess."

"at least you didn't have the bad popcorn,I need someting to get this taste out've my mouth."

Well how about this?" Shelly then kissed me for a few seconds and stopped.

"That did it."

"Thought it might."

Then we walked toward my house.

"So you wanna see Derek?"

"Why not."

I smiled to myself this would be interesting.

(Derek's POV)
It was time to see dad,I knew mom wasn't home yet. Man at least she still had that radio show though.

I walked through the door and said hello to dad.

"Dad,hows it going."
Then dad gave me one of his bear hugs.
"Great son,dad said letting go,by the way are you staying for good now?"

"Maybe I was thinking about it."

"Really well sorry I gotta cut you off,I've got papers to finish grading you know,teacher stuff."

"Alright dad we'll catch up later when mom's home."
Then I walked out the door right into my little bro and his girlfriend,looks like they wanted to chat but then my cell phone rang. I had to answer privately. I had to ditch Drake and Shelly.

"Alright,later then." Drake said.

Yes now to see what was up. I waved to my brother and got into my truck started it and drove off.

I picked up the phone after I was out of sight of Drake.

"What's up?"

"Mr. Conrad,have you gotten what you promised us yet?"

"No I'll do the job this tonight,just remember to keep u pyour part of the bargain,got it?"

"Don't worry we will,we will."

"Good,call ya tonight."

"Alright,till then Mr. Conrad."

I hung up sweating a bit. Had I gone too far. Why had I gotten mixed up with that guy he was the biggest crime boss in town. And I can't tell my family if they knew then Weaver would have them eliminated. Oh I fel so stupid right now,and lower then dirt.

(Drake's POV)
My brotheer's hole exit was weird and since when did he run errands? But right now I had to take Shelly home.

"So Shelly long or short way home?"

"Short,I forgot dad was getting off early."

"Alright short way means,foot race."

"Your on."

We high fived and then we ran. We both tired out near the end. I could feel myself sweating. But Shelly barely made it to the door a hair before me.

"I win,but that was close. But Drake I got some advice for you,Shelly said panting a bit,never get into a race with someone who races constantly."

"I'll remember that,bye Shelly."

"Bye." Then Shelly kised my cheek quick as a flash and she was inside.

I walked down the sidewalk at ease thinking of other things. Should I tell Shelly? She'd understand or would she?

Then my thoughts returned to my brother. Something was fishy about that errand thing. Maybe I'd play detective the best I could when I got home. I had to protect my brother becasue I had a feeling he was in big trouble.

(Rachel's POV)
Ah the big city and it's splendour. I love the sights,smells,evrything. I always knew I was a city girl. I glanced at my watch oh great i'm gonna be late. i'd gotten a job a few days after I'd left . It was time for me to branch out on my own. but I had to be careful buying clothes,changing clothes,even teaching beginner jujitsu. My wings were a bit hard to hide. Luckily I'd found a leather strap I could use to keep them down and unnoticable. But at least at night I coul fly without a care. A part of me missed my friends though still and by suden dissappearance. Luckily I still had a few days to see if I wanted to go back home since me not being there wouldn't be noticed until school started back up.

Suddenly I thought of Drake again out of the blue. Why was I thinking aobut him this much? Was it because of that stupid excuse and guilt? Or something else?

I walked off to my job Drake still clinging to my thoughts.

Ch.6
(Derek's POV)
I cant believe what I just did. I stole $12,000 worth of diamonds for a crime boss. Im driving 91 mph on a 55 mph road with the cops on my ass.

Phew -- I finally lost them. I walked into the warehouse sweating 10 gallons a minute.

"You got what we wanted?" Weaver said.

"Yeah" I said.

"Open it."

I opened the black du"ffle bag. He was happy to see the diamonds.

"Good. Put that stuff down, lets have a talk Conrad."

Slowly I laid down the bag and walked with Weaver to an old TV on an old rusty wooden table.

"Look we need you to do something for us."

"But I-" he cut me off right in the middle of my sentence

"Our guy downtown says you got potential. Look you dont want to piss this guy off. We need you to take a look at this."

Then he took the remote to the VCR and started the tape. It was from a survailance camera. There was a girl standing by a punch table in a gym standing over a fallen figure and a few girls..?

"OK sorry but what is this for?" I said.

Just then this guy ran up to her and they started a fight. Holy crap.. Drake? If it was him I just saw him controlling this chick when the other stuff on the tape came on showing the finale of the fight inthe Shop building and the explosion afterward. After a long stare I knew it was him.

"See, kid? This is what this guy wants. And what I want. To get these freaks locked up. They're dangerous."

"No, I cant do this."

I grabbed the tape out of the VCR and for the protection of Drake I destroyed the evidence by pulling out the tape.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?" he said.

I threw the tape to the ground and crushed it by stomping on it. I ran out as fast as I could.

"HEY!"

Just as I got out the doors I heard a gunshot. I was just glad it didnt get to me.

(Drake's POV)
As I walked downstairs I couldn't stop thinking about Derek. I think this errand is dangerous.

"Dad do you happen to know exactly where Derek is?" I asked him as he was watching the news.

"No all he told me was that he had to run an errand. What is the problem?"

"No reason." I said with discomfort.

What is going on with him lately? All I can hope for is a safe return.

(Drake's POV)

The next hour went by way too slow. I've been sitting in my kitchen this whole time wondering about Derek. Where is he?

Suddenly, the door opened and it was Derek walking through it.

"Derek?! Where have you been?" I said

"Uhmm.. I just went to a movie."

"A movie" I said in disgust.

"Yeah." he said, trying too hard to convince me.

"OK, so what was that call about earlier?"

"It was my friend, uh, Jack.. he wanted to see what movie I wanted to go to."

He started to walk away but I grabbed his arm to stop him.

"Was it really that important? You had to get away from me to discuss a movie? I want the TRUTH."

Derek gulped and hesitated.

"I just.. had to do something for a friend."

"Look, if you're in trouble, maybe I could help."

"No!" he said quickly. "Just.. just back off, man. Look I gotta get some rest, I'm going to hang out with Jack and the guys tommorow."

Derek walked up the stairs. I could hardly believe this. There was only one thing I could do.

I had to figure out a way to see where he is going. I have to spy on him.

(Shelly's POV)
I have to admit it; I love being Drake's girl. All day every day he'd spend his time drooling over Rachel. But now, I'm happy. It's my time to shine. Finally being recognized by him, not being taken for granted, is the best feeling in the world.

No one has seen Rachel for days. I hope I'm not just a replacement until she comes back.

(Drake's POV)
I can't believe I was going to have to tail my brother today. I hardly got enough sleep over it as it is. But I followed him out the door and to the sidewalk then I ducked behind some trees and followed. I also camoflauged myself a bit with the shadows of the trees I guess the power practice was beginning to pay off.

Anyway as I walked further through the woods I saw Derek until he rounded a corner. I followed and found he was gone. Then something dropped out of the trees above me.

(Derek's POV)
I had heard someone following me a mile away it sounded his footsteps were coming from the woods. One of the perks of my powers. Then as I rounded a corner and climbed up a nearby tree and waited then when chance came I pounced.

I knocked a dark looking figure sprawling and then we were both shone in the half light of the woods.

"Drake,why are you following me,and how did you darken yourself?"

"Well I got a few questions for you bro,whats up with your teeth?" Drake had caught me with my mouth open and he had noticed my canine like teeth sadly part of my mutation.

"Drake I gotta be honest with you,I'm a mutant."

"Figuered as much so am I,but enough of this tender moment,why did you really come home?"

"Well alright I give up,Debbie got kidnapped a few months after I left. I wasn't sure who took her or why. So I went out looking for her or seeing if anyone had seen her before the kidnapping to give me some clues. But nothing worked until I got caught up with this guy Weaver,you see well he saw what I could do one day when I was out looking for Debbie's..well,scent. I'm pretty much a giant animal minus the fur and other things. Anyway he said he could give me some info on the guy who got her if I came back and stole somthing for him in town from the museum. And I think he and his gang knows someting about you,they had a tape of you taking out this putty chick. Luckily I crushed it,but now I'm in this mess."

Drake smiled at me and said
"Thanks bro so your going to meet Weaver now I assume."

"Yeah,oh sorry need a hand up?"

"I could use one Derek." Drake said laughing.

"Alright." I said helping him up.

"Okay Derek I'll help you out of this." Drake said giving me a high five.

"Thanks,I could use the help,but Weaver can't take both of us."

"Got that right so where is he?"

I smiled at my brother as we walked through the woods. And then I said,"He's at the old warehouse off of Daily Street."

Drake smirked at me again and said,
"All right lets get him."

(Drake's POV)
We got to the warehouse around dark. Luckily mom and dad wouldn't be too worried since they thought me and Derek were having a bonding moment. Now all we had to do was get these guys and get them arrested. But dealing with a crime boss makes it harder because he knows the ins and outs of bribery and other corrupt people.

We had to stop him here and now.

We ducked behind a few trash cans behind the building and caught a few straggling guards. We knocked them out easy enough and ducked inside.

Once inside we saw a few cameras but I used shadows to hide us. But I couldn't keep it up for long I'd never cloaked two people before.

But we managed to get through the camers further into the building and we found the guy Derek pointed out was Weaver at a long table.

"Thats him." Derek whispered.

"Alright then lets stick...,Derek ran off toward him rage and curiosity overwhelming him,together."

I silently swore as I turned down into a maze of boxes to sneak up on the criminals from behind.

"Weaver,Derek yelled,I won't be your delivery boy anymore."

"So sorry then it looks like your toast kid,you and your girlfriend."

At Debbie's name Derek pounced at the crimelord when all of a sudden Derek was shot in the back causing him to topple to his knees.

"Good job boys,I heard Weaver say,now I'll finish off the freak."

"I don't think so!" I said leaping from the top of a box into the fray.

"Well well it's the kid,someone put a big prize on you dead or alive,buys get him."

Then the guards charged and leapt on me using shear numbers to topple me to the ground and then they pulled out their gun. I was finished my life flashed before my eyes. I can't end this way.

Suddenly Derekd threw himself on the goons tossing them aside like flower sacks into walls and toppling into boxes. And soon I was up and fighting and I used shadows to scare the guys around me and they ended up running into walls. even I had to admit this was fun.

Soon it was only Weaver me and Derek left.

"Hey buddy,I said to Weaver,you better tell my brother and me where you have his girlfriend stashed or who's after me orelse I might have to sick him on you."

I could see Weaver sweating bullets he hadn't prepared himself properly,that was the price of his overconfidence.

"Alright kid you win I only know a bit about this guy and I think he's got wolf boys girl and he's after you. He's some scientist I think,all I know is he's got some experiments involving mutties and other sick stuff,he's trying to control them or become on himself some say. Thats all I know." Weaver said turning his back to us.

That wasn't what Derek had wantedto hear and in anger he rammed into Weaver and held him in one hand steadily crushing his throat.

"Thats the best info you have,you told me you knew where she was,you lied to me,and now I'm gonna kill you."

"Derek stop!" I shouted Then I continued.

"Don't if you kill him I'll have to stop you from getting away,you'll be worse then Weaver,you'll be a murderer."

Derek hesitated and dropped the stunned crime boss to the floor and pulled an old fire alarm in the building. And he threw the already stolen loot on the criminals and he and I walked out tired but smiling.

(Drake's POV)
We got about halway home when Derek turned to me suddenly.

"Bro I think I'm gonna search for clues a bit,out've town."

"But you just got here not long ago." I said sadly.

"But I have to find Debbie she's in danger I know it,let me go,please?"

"Alright,but be sure to come back." I said smiling at him.

"Don't worry if I can't find any leads or anything I'll come back,maily because we make such a good team. But tell mom and dad I'm moving to Panama City so it'll sound like I'll be closer to home."

"Alright,one last thing though,I'll miss you." I said hugging him.

He hugged me back and patted my back.

"Don't worry I'll be back sooner then you can say Spider-Man. But I have some advice,you can't get into a deeper relationship with Shelly unless you tell her I hope you'll make the right decision,Shelly's one in a million."

Then Derek walked off into the darkness until I couldn't even see him anymore. Then I walked to Shelly's house I knew what I had to do now before I went home.

(Shelly's POV)
I heard a rapping on my window like it was being hit by a rock. I looked out and saw Drake near the tree by my window. I ran to the window and opened it drearely.

Yawning I said,"What's up Drake it's a bit late for video games."

"Ha ha very funny. Shelly I have to tell you something though." I heard him say. I was beginning to get worried and I got out the window and climbed down the tree.

And I said a little harshly,"This better be good if it's interfering with my beauty sleep."

"It is I wanted to tell you....I'm...I'm a mutant."

"No way,prove it."

"Alright." And then some acorns at the top of the tree fell on my head it was like they had just dropped from the sky and I looked down and saw not acorns but dark acorn like shadows?!

I turned to Drake astonished.

"I can control shadows and make the shadows close enough to the real thing but I'm having a bit of a hard time controlling my powers or even activating them."

I smiled at him my heart was pumping fast,I couldn't believe it my friend was a mutant and he had trusted me above everyone else. I stayed silent as Drake ended his little talk.

"Shelly promise me you won't tell anyone,please."

"I promise." I said honestly.

"And I'm gonna go,you need some time to process this I know but I'll see ya at your race tomorrow. Hopefully Jacob will be there to if I can wake him up."

"Alright Drake thanks,and I'm glad you told me." I said kissing him. Then I heard something and let him go and turned to see my parents standing near me and I turned and Drake was gone. And jokingly under my breath I muttered," Drake I'll get you for this."

Ch. 1
(Shelly's POV)
I am so pumped for this weekend! The big motocross race is coming up. I've heard Freddie "Axel" Lewis is gonna be there.

The past few weeks have been amazing. Drake is my own personal superhero, and now competing with my favorite racer? The scouts should be there on
Saturday; I'd go big if I beat him!

I can hardly wait til tommorow.

(Freddie Axel's POV)
Tommorow's the big day. My day to shine. I'll get a huge deal with the big companies if I win.

I hope this will be easy, I thought to myself as I walked into the lab.

"Mr. Lewis" the scientist said sounding surprised.

"Is it ready yet, Dr. King?"

"Yes, sir... do you have the-"

I opened the bag which held the cash he wanted.

(Dr. King's POV)
I was happy to see the money, but was giving this guy illegal steroids worth it?

"Follow me" I said nervously.

I led him to the operating table and told him to lie down.

(Freddie's POV)
"How long will this take? I have a party to be at." I said in impatience.

"Just a few minutes, sir."

The doctor took out a vial of a blue liquid. He injected it into the needle and told me to stay still.

"So tell me what this is again. If this goes wrong, I'll sue."

"Each injection of this gives you 48 hours worth of superhuman strength. It's what you wanted right?"

"Do it."

He stuck the needle in me and I knew tommorow I would dominate.

Nothing will stop me from getting what I want.

(Drake's POV)
I was still a bit tired and somewhat anxious from telling Shelly the other night. It was good to finally get that off my chest. But questions were popping into my head. Should I tell my parents? Jacob? Rachel? Then as soon as I thought of Rachel I remembered I hadn't seen her in awhile I hope she was doing okay. Then I leapt out've bed to call Jacob. He was back from his grandpas so it was the perfect time to tell him about Shelly's race in a few days.

(Rachel's POV)
It had been a few weeks but I was now liking city even more than I'd thought possible. As a plus I was know teaching jujitsu since I'd risen through the ranks f teaching. I smiled remembering testing myself against a supposedly strong student. I'd beaten him without trying,just flipped him over my head and he was flat on the blue mat sore. Then I got that home sick feeling again. Maybe I should pop by town to at least let everyone know I'm all right,if they even noticed I was gone yet. Then I thought and decided quick enough. I'd stop by and maybe that would give me time to decide between the city as my new home or Millten and all my friends.

(Freddie's POV)
I went back home for my work out. I always felt like lifting something after those injections. I walked into the living room my weight on the floor. I grabbed a 40 lb. weight and lifted it as if it were a feather and put it on the bar and i did the same with another 40 as well as a couple 100 lb. weights. I lifted them and smiled. Now it was a bit heavier but about as heavy as a basketball.
I put the weights down and sat down. And I looked at my competition in the local paper. This race had a loy of publicity surrounding it and it'd even caught the interest of some local scientist. But I scanned through the riders and my eyes fell on a young girl with blond hair. Hmmm. Junior champion for 2 years in a row and more experience than usual for a rider so young. I think I have a challenge on my hands. I just hoped she'd be a better challenge then my last opponents.

(Drake's POV)
I counted down as Jacob wlaked up to the door. Today I was home alone awhile. What with dad at a conference with some kids parents and mom busy with radio stuff. I had called Jacob after I'd gotten up but,he was busy and could only talk a few minutes and I told him Shelly's race was tomorrow. I remembered quick enough though because I actually had thought at first it was next Monday. Man sometimes I could be out've it. Later on Jacob called back a little after lunch telling me he could come over.

"Drake,mom will drop me off on her way to the airport you know with her whole piloting thing."

"gotcha say hi to your mom for me." I had said kind enough.

"Alright see ya in a few,oh and we're gonna throw Shell'y a pre-race party."

"Where?" I'd asked.

"Well maybe your house,you know with all the computers,flat screen t.v.'s and other stuff you have. Besides I,well called some friends and they'll be over with a cake and other stuff."

"What!" I managed to say before Jacob hung up on me.

Now you can understand I'm nervous. A party in which every possible thing could go wrong,I couldn't wait till Jacob got to the door. I heard the doorbell ring a few moments later. I'm gonna throttle him. I though jokingly as I let Jacob inside. I needed a plan.

(Rachel's POV)
I walked off the bus as it rolled to a stop near my house. I thanked the driver and gave him some major money. Luckily I have all that money from those few days on the job or else I would've made it home. I looked around same old same old. Then I noticed Shelly walking down the street.

"Hey Shelly!" I called enthusiastically.

"Rachel?" Shelly said shocked.

"Well guess you need an explanation for my absence,right." I said honestly.

"Yeah that'd be nice."

"Well,I took a deep breath,to be completely honest I have issues at home,dear old dad has gone over the edge with the drinking,I grew wings,I've missed everyone and even Drake more then life itself,now I just wanna go to my friends and tell them I'm alright. And I wanna see my dad but I'm not sure what'll happen when I get home. And then I snapped and burst into tears and Shelly hugged me patting my back.
I was just glad to be home.

(Freddie's POV)
I went strolling around noon. It was time I looked at the bets riding on me or at the very least the girl. And I asked around and the girl was actually a favorite to win this thing. She'll a local student at Millten High,her mom's some fashion model and her daddie is a policeman. This girl was interesting but I knew I'd crush her in the end. And then i saw a flyer that peeked my interest,COME CELEBRATE THE LOCAL HERO AT 5689 Jordan Street YOU'LL HAVE A BLAST!
Yes this was perfect,if the girl had an accident and was injured at this party nothing could dtand in my way tomorrow,maybe I would pay this party a visit of celeb status.
I smiled as I threw the flyer into the garbage and walked down back home to prepare.

Great update! That Freddie doesn't seem very friendly. Hope the house doesn't get blasted away during the party, Drake's parent wouldn't be happy. Poor Rachel she totally broke down there, Shelly is such a sweet girl. :)

"Jacob,why did the party have to be at my house?!" I said as Jacob walked in the door.

"Well buddy,...your address is on the flyers already and you have the coolest and best stuff." Jacob said laying on the couch in the living room turning on the flat screen t.v.

"Flyers?! oh man I swear your dead after this." I took a breath. Next time there was a party it would definitely be at Jacob's house. I swore mentally.

"Don't sweat it just call your dad and tell him it's a party for Shelly,she's more popular around here then you think. And you do want her to be happy right?"

"OK,I'll call dad just make sure it's not packed."

"Don't worry,I just invited a few friends and fans of Shelly and it's tonight anyway so it won't last that long."

"Okay cool,I'll go call dad."

As I walked to the phone I felt a weird aching feeling in my eyes they felt like they were itching. I rubbed my eyes as I grabbed the phone and I was suprised by the my reflecton in the clear metal surface of my refrigerator,my eyes were now blood red?!

(Rachel's POV)
Shelly took me shopping at the mall. It seems she wanted to well lighten the mood. Honestly I was happy about that. And we got soe new shoes. I also managed to find a good bargain for some jeans and a tanktop. Shelly hadn't mentioned anything about the wings or pursued the subject,it was a bit weird I thought she would've been freaked especially when I showed her before we got to the mall,was I not the only mutant she knew.

But my thoughts cleared as me and Shelly sat down to eat lunch at my favorite pizza place. Antonio's,probably the best pizza I ever had,I'm so glad I'm home. Then I thought of seeing Drake later or some of my other friends. I wonder if anyone else knew I'd been gone.

(Darke's POV)
My eyes didn't hurt or anything this was getting too weird. But I had to call dad before I figured this out. I called and left a message. Dad was probably starting another confrence by now. I just hoped he'd understand the reason of the party,or else I would be screwed. I hung up the phone and looked again. My eyes were normal again? Maybe I was just seeing things.

I walked back to Jacob.

"All I got was dad's answering machine."

"He'll understand buddy,besides you did tell him in a message right?"

"Yeah,but if you get me grounded I'm officially killing you." I said smiling at Jacob wickedly.

"You'll have to catch me first." Jacob said smirking back.

"Anyway,so when are tjhe party people getting here?"

"About 3 or 4 to set up,why?"

"Just curious,but I get to keep Shelly distracted,right?"

"Sure do whatever you want buddy as long as we can give her this awesome night before her race."

"Cool." I said walking out the door calling Shelly on my cell phone.

As I walked down the street I bumped into a guy wearing some rust colored shirt but I was too busy to notice anything else. But I just kept walking not noticing him stare at my house and walk off.

(Shelly's POV)
I finished my pizza a little bit before Rachel. Where had she been,Rachel had confidently forgot to mention that. I couldn't blame her what for her father and his problems and her wings. Good thing Drake had told me about his powers or else I would've freaked out even worse. Now the bad thing started. Keeping two secrets. Just then I heard my cell phone ring.

Looks like it's Drake. Luckily he'd left a message,he wanted to meet me at the park. Sounded interesting,maybe this would help Rachel. Then I and Rachel walked toward the park. I'd told Rachel I was meeting a friend I just hoped Drake wouldn't brush me off and want to be alone with Rachel. I then silently prayed he'd stick around.

(Drake's POV)
I made it to the park around noonish. I saw Shelly and someone else I couldn't make out who it was until I got closer. As I moved closer I saw a familiar aqau tank top and jeans and black shoes and strawberry blond hair. It was Rachel!

I spoke a bit confused to Shelly my emotions were running high at a bit of an akward moment.

"Hey Shelly,Rachel is that you?!"

Rachel spoke first,"Yeah hey nice to see you again." She said giving me a hug.

After the hug I noticed her eyes had bags under them like she hadn't slept in weeks and bruises trailing up her uncovered arms.

"Rachel are you okay?" I asked worriedly.

She noticed me looking at her body,she saw the shock in my eyes.

"Well it's a long story." She said softly.

I barely noticed Shelly now she was there though my confort before Rachel began her story.

After the story was done I was well a bit mixed up. Anger,pity,every emotiono along those lines clung to my mind threatening to break free. Shelly saw this and placed her comforting hand on my shoulder.

Also though I felt torn,Rachel had skipped out me on purpose for no reason,but I couldn't blame her. Her voice cut me out of my little state of mind like a kinfe through butter.

"There's something else I wanna show you." She said calmly nodding at Shelly.

What I saw amazed me. She moved her tanktop's back up until I saw a slick belt tying back what looked like,wings?! I didn't notice how I had missed them.

"I'm a mutant Drake." She said finally.

(Becca's POV)
Visiting dad had done wonders for me I felt refreshed like he was still with me. Watching me from above. I couldn't help but smile. Then I looked again at a flyer that had arrived at my house. There was going to be a party tonight to celebrate Shelly's race tomorrow win or loss. I was excited aobut the party strangely. Maybe I could find a date. But every time I thought like that Drake popped into my mind. With competition like Shelly and Rachel,I was blown out of the water,oh well maybe I'll get lucky with someone else. I thought silently.

(Freddie's POV)
So that was the house man those people must be rich or conservative with their cash. But now I knew where to strike but maybe I should wait for the race. It could be great having a challenge for once. These thoughts continued until I decided I would just wing it tonight. And besides if not I could crush everyone tomorrow and get my prize.

(Evan's POV)
"Dr. King give me everything you have on you latest patient." I said to the doctor he was afraid like all the others. good thing I had gotten that secret camera installed.

"I don't know what your talking about." The doctor said tumbling over his words.

"Tisk tisk doctor you dissapoint me,Yuri Walter help the good doctor refresh his memory."

Soon the doctor had given us the information we sought but sadly he had dided mysteriously while in conference with us,he did look a bit pale.

I smiled as I placed the content of the tube in one of my own viles and placed a computer disk in Yuri's hands.

"Time to go." I said as we opened the limo doors and sat in the quiet until the limo roared to life speeding us away.

"What?" I said almost double taking.

"I'm a mutant." Rachel said again calmly,

I felt words leave me and I felt a knot in my stomach I glanced over at Shelly she looked a bit well angry couldn't blame her but with Rachel around again my feelings for her had resurfaced.

Then I said to Rachel,"Hey wait just a sec."

I glanced at shelly and motioned to her to follow.

"What's wrong?" I asked finally,even though that was the dumbest question to be asked at this point.

"Drake,your making me insane here! I mean do you like Rachel anymore or not?!"

"At first I thought I could be with your forever Shell after the dance,sharing my secret but when Rachel came back these feelings inside just busted out,it doesn't change the way I feel about you." I said kissing her.

Shelly stopped it and glared at me a bit tears falling down her cheeks.

"Stop,I can't handle this yet,I still love you but if you still have these feelings for Rachel confront them. But I will keep your secret until the day I breathe my last breath. And just remember I love you." And she kissed me with all the passion she'd be building up.

She stopped and wlaked in the opposite direction sadness practically clining to her and to me as I watched hr go. Just then I saw the sun show off something in a tree,a gun!

I saw it fire but I leapt in it's path. I felt it cut through my shoulder,yeah this would leave a scar in the morning I thought somewhat comically. Then I fell to the ground a pool of blood forming around me and then my vision blurred and then I felt myself pass out.

(Drake's POV)
I woke up in the hospital. I couldn't believe I was still alive. Other questions and scenes flashed before my eyes too though. My last minute talk with Shelly,Rachel,and the sound of the gunshot before I passed out. But the main thing I wanted to know was who saved me?

Just then I heard voices in the hallway. I adjusted my self in the bed and reclined it and I turned to face the door.

"Let me check on the boy,I did save his life."

Then I heard the door open and I looked upon the face of an older man his hair white as snow and with eyes that were a strange combination of green and brown.

"So I see your up." He commented quickly staring at me eye to eye.

"Yes sir,I'm alright now,and if you don't mind me asking,who are you?"

"Evan Reeve."

(Shelly's POV)
I got home later that afternoon,how could I have been so stupid. Drake deserved to be happy. Besides we weren't really dating. And the only reason he wasn't with Rachel right now was because of Rachel's personal issues. Then I just cried. Just then my cell phone rang and I cleaned myself up and answered.

"Hello?"

"Hey Shell,come over to Drake's I'm we wanna give you something for good luck tomorrow."

It was Jacob but could I face Drake again this soon?

"Sure,be right there." I said before I knew it.

"Great thanks." Jacob said as he hung up.

I walked over to Drake's his parents cars were still gone,when did his parents get home after busy days anyway? Oh well. I walked inside it was really dark. I then stepped through the doorway and just then the lights flashed on and I saw Rachel,half the entire neighborhood,Jacob and some other friends,even Matt's band. They all shouted "Suprise!"

I hugged the ones closest to me as the cake was brought out,my favorite. A chocolate covered yellow cake with a motorcycle on it.

Out of the corner of my eye I thought I saw someone else but I just ignored it it was probably my imagination.

"Thanks guys,your the greatest." I said sweetly.

And then the music started up. Just then I noticed someone was missing,where was Drake?

(Freddie's POV)
The girl didn't even notice me. This was too easy,but that one kid had seen the gun. I was just glad I took him out,no witnesses were good. But this time no one could stop me,I'd finish this girl without revealing myself. I changed my mind about the celeb appearance. This girl would mysteriously die in the home of a friend,etc.,etc. I could see the headlines now. Then I'd win the race and that cash reward. I had to stay on top,no matter what.

Then the girl was walking toward her friends. I hesistated. I'd let her enjoy the night. Before the real festivities began.

The evil Evan Reeve makes his appearance. I wonder what he wants. I wasn't expecting that Freddie was going to shoot her. Can't wait to know what Freddie is planning to do.

(Drake's POV)

"Mr. Reeve,I heard you a few weeks ago or something you were on my mother's radio show."

"So your Alicia's boy,well I have some good news,I'm going to keep this little mishap a secret and pay your bill. And yu may leave now I'll cover for you."

"Well,thanks goodbye sir."

I heard him walk out the door. That guy definitely gave me the creeps but at least I could get out've here. I got dressed quick enough and went out the back. I walked down the now dark streets. Guess I'd been there awhile. Just then I looked at my watch. 7:30! The party,and that assassin was still out there,I had to get home before it was too late.

Luckily the bus ran this late and I was able to get home fairly quick. I walked up the steps and opened the door. And walked right into the party. Disco ball flashing,Matt's band playing,etc. But I had to find Shelly.

I found her getting something to drink.

I just let the words slip from my mouth behind her.

"Nice party,right." I said nervously.

"Yeah." She said turning to me smiling a bit.

"I wanted to thank you,where have you been?"

"I had a doctor's appointment." I said jokingly.

"Ahh,but Drake about today I'm sorry,I was out of line..."

"No,I said cutting her off,I was I was a moron,I like you too. More than you could ever know,and I was curious if you would ike to take the last step with me as my girlfriend."

Shelly hugged me just then I heard someone behind us. And then the next thing I knew we were being lead out the back near my darkened backyard.

"Alright kid,either your girl here throws the race tomorrow so I can win or well lets just say you might be dating an airhead soon." I heard someone say holding a pistol to Shelly's head. Just then I remembered that voice and saw part of his face revealed in the dim light from the party creeping outside.

It was Freddie Lewis,I should've known.

"Oh and kid meant to ask,how did you survive that gun shot anyway I thought you would've bled to death."

I faced him my eyes meeting his.

"Just lucky I guess."

"Well not so lucky anymore are you." Lewis said smirking.

Just then Lewis was caught off guard by a sudden sound Shelly struggled and managed to get away. I dove to help her but Lewis grabbed me and lifted me up. My throat felt like it was being held fast by a vice.

Just then I heard a sharp familiar voice say from the dark,

"Get away from my brother!"

I turned and saw two yellowish wolf like eyes come forward in the dark to the light and in the light stood Derek,I could always count on him. I though smiling dispite the danger.

This chapter should make Drelly fans happy once more :)

(Drake's POV)
I felt Lewis's grip fade as he threw me to the ground.
Derek stepped forward again his gray windbreaker rising and falling as the wind picked up.

"Now a little further away please." Derek said flashing Lewis a fanged smile.

"Whatever dog boy,your not the only one with special skills." Lewis said pulling a tree trunk up and hurling it a derek and somehow I acted instinctively and I threw my hand up. I held the massive thing away from my brother with my telekinesis. And I was also silently thanking God this actually worked this time.

"How,what's going on!" Lewis said as he saw what I did.

"We're two of a kind buddy." I said smirking as well.

"So two on one huh,well bring it on kiddies." Lewis said smiling darkly at us.

I threw the bulk of the tree trunk aside back near the wooded area of my backyard.

Then I ran over to a fallen Shelly and picked her up and we walked toward Derek. I smiled at him and whispere, "You think two on one'll work?"

"It's worth a shot little bro."

I smiled and me and Derak faced Lewis. We waited to see who'd make the first move. Just then Lewis charged at me. I tried to call on my mental abilities but nothing happened. So I was knocked off my feet and hit the dirt.

Derek then came forward and blocked Lewi's fist as it came at me I heard something snap,even Derek wasn't prepared for someone with strength like that. Derek hit the ground hard.

I inched over to him and I managed to ge tback on my feet painfully,my right leg took a beating when I hit the ground,it felt like it was sprained. But then I felt that familiar easing sensation as the shadows did their work. Soon I was fighting fit again. I looked for Lewis quick enough and found him standing over Derek foot poised to crush his throat.

"No!" I shouted and held out my hand again and suddenly my eyes itched no burned this time. And suddenly I saw the shadows rise and the darkness formed something a giant dragon like maw rose from the earth I couldn't stop it I felt something in me weaken and I fell back to the ground. Then I saw the beastly looking head fly to the now scared to death would-be-assassin like a magnet and it collided. Lewis didn't scream but he fell back down to the earth motionless.

I tried crawling over to Derek just then I heard a noise and Lewis was back up but he looked at something screamed and charged at me. But then I saw his whole body become bone like a living skeleton,I sure as heck didn't do that to him? What was happening to him? Just then I saw he had pumped himself with more of that strange blue stuff as he had gotten up from my attack,that was causing it but it was too late now. He still charged for me but then he fell weakened to theground.

And then I passed out again.

This time when I woke up Derek and Shelly were at my side.

"Little bro you did good,the cops took Lewis away,they just gotta find a mutie proof cell for him."

"Drake you did it!" Sehlly said practicaly crushing me in a hug.

"Yeah,Shell at least let me breathe."

"Oh sorry." Shelly said blushing.

"Then I turned to ask Derek something but he was gone as fast as he had came. I prayed silently he'd find Debbie and come home soon.

And I looked at the house the party had been over once the police had gottne there. And everyone went home anyway they were either tired or whatever.

I glanced at Shelly.

"Sorry if the party was a bust,so Jacob leave too?"

"Yeah lucky no one saw you out like that except me and Derek we had to cover for you and everything."

"Thanks,but mom and dad are gonna kill me."

"Not yet,I'll stay up late with you to clean."

"No you got your race tomorrow."

"Okay if your sure hero." Shelly said laughing.

"Yeah I'm sure go on." I said smiling at her.

"Wait,I didn't give you a proper reward,here." And with that she kissed me as passionately as in the park but slightly more so.

Then she flashed me pearly white smile and walked back home.

I stared after her,what a girlfriend she'd be.

Then I walked inside smiling to myself. Replaying the kiss in my head.

School is back in session as Drake and Shelly begin dating. Rachel meets a new "friend". And the emergence of latent mutatnt powers causes a student to go over the edge and hold Evan Reeve hostage when he visits the school for an assembly. But Reeve might have other plans.

(Drake's POV)
Time for school again. Me and my friends walked on not really going anywhere yet,considering we were alll a bit early today for some reason. Jacob always had to break the silence.

"So lovebirds how was your weekend?"

"Great." we said together and punching Jacob in the arm.

I smiled at Shelly,we'd only been girlfriend/boyfriend for a few days but those had been some of the best days of my life.

Just then we heard something go over the intercom.

"Attention students,this afternoon we will be having an assembly in the auditorium as well as a special guest,Evan Reeve,he's donating money to the school to finally finish off that text book shortage. And students havea great day."

The voice of the principal cut off. I stared off into space thinking,Evan was a good guy but why did he creep me out so much?

(Phillip Walden's POV)
Spring break hadn't really been great for me I had gotten a cold,mom got fired,and I felt like my head was throbbing. And today was no better. Luckily I had my girlfriend to comfort me.

"Carrie,wait up."

"Hey Phillip you look a bit pale,you okay?"

"Yeah." I said but Suddenly and felt something of a pressure building in my palm and suddenly the next thing I knew Carrie was on the ground gasping for air,or dying.

I ran. I had felt something release from my hand I had done that to her. No it was Reeve's fault,Evan fired my mother,he had destroyed my father,one of Reeve's earlier tests,and now I was a mutant maybe not because of Reeve but I'd free everyone of his evil if it was the last thing I did.

I walked off after putting a flower by Carrie now still,I'd miss her most of all.

(Drake's POV)
"Can you guys believe Reeve is showing up here?" I heard Jacob ask.

"Yeah,well his son is a billionare and he's one of the most respected scientists on the planet." Shelly said to Jacob smirking as we walked around school for a few minutes.

"Well if you guys ask me all he's missing is a father of the year award." I said darkly. i didn't trust him one bit not since he actually payed off my hospital bills and everything else after I got shot. He seemed a bit fishy.

"Whatever Drake,hey I'll se ya guys later,you know how Mrs. Spence get if somebody's late."

"Good luck getting through the door." Shelly and I joked.

Then we smiled at weach other and wlaked hand and hand to English.

'So how'd you lose that race again?" i asked smiling.

"Come on,Shelly snapped,that guy in the black leather jacket came out've nowhere I swear."

"Not that excuse again,your the only one who saw him,somebody who was tall,dark haired,wearing a black leather jacket and shades and a funky garnet looking ring. Thats ridiculous,but I can make an exception for you." I said kissing her forehead.

"Well if that guy shows up one day you'll be sorry. Shelly said smiling. Besides the guy who won deserved it over me."

"That British guy,sure he did he won over the judges with that sob story."

"It wasn't fake it was touching."

"Sure."

And then without knowing it we busted out laughing.

Later after a few more minutes and some running we made it into class milliseconds before class began.

(Rachel's POV)
Great the first day back. I was just glad no one really noticed I'd left. And I couldn't help be a little excited. I adjusted my backpack over my back and started down the hall when all of a sudden something hit me and my head felt a littl sore.

"Oh sorry." I heard someone say coming from behind.

I turned and saw he was actually pretty cute,he was tall had light brown hair and was wearing some glasses. But those didn't take away form his looks. But I caught myself before I fell for him too much.

"It's alright just watch where you throw next time."

"Sure not a problem,by the way I have a class with you I think."

"Yeah I think I see you in,Geometry,right?"

"i think thats it,the names Zack if you didn't know already."

"Hi,I siad shaking his hand,I'm Rachel."

I could feel this was the start of something special.

(Evan's POV)
I heard the limo near the lab start up again. This little school trip would be at least a bit enlightening and maybe get me another chance of talking with that Conrad boy. He is.... interesting.

I'm sure he was the one in the security video at the school weeks ago. Now all I had to do was gain his trust then I could begin my greatest experiment.

Oh and Brooke your mailbox is full,just lettin ya know :).

I couldn't believe I'd passed that test,and I made a perfect score to boot. I smiled down at my 100 happily as I and Shelly walked to lunch.
Second period on the other hand was a bore I practically fell asleep yet again. Bad for me I guess.

"So Shelly,I said,what are you doing this weekend?"

"Nothing much,why?" She said smirking at me sexily.

"Well I was hoping we could make this girlfriend boyfriend thing official." I said sweetly.

"Okay but what shall we do?"

"Movie,dinner,the possibilities are endless,plus I've been thinking of making it a suprise."

"Well you've done a great job so far." Shelly said laughing.

"Thanks Shell." We walked a bit farther until Shelly stopped me.

"Drake,I'm sorry I have to ask this but are you going to tell Jacob about your secret too,I think he might be feeling a bit left out've the loop,he's been a bit unlike himself."

"I will,maybe I mean I'm not ready yet."

"Well I hope you tell him soon before he starts geting madder."

"Don't worry Shell he'll be fine." I said smiling at her.

But in my thoughts I was wondering if I should tell Jacob.

Then we walked into the lunch room and into line I just hope Jacob didn't show for now.

I ate in silence but Shelly was still on the Jacob subject until she got a better answer from me.

"So why might you not tell him?"

"He might think I'm a freak or monster,thats secret identity 101. Look at Spider-Man hated by everyone...."

"But accepted his loved ones,Shelly said interupting."

"Yeah,well I'll tell hime when I'm ready okay!" I said snapping at her a bit.

She looked a bit sad for a moment but kissed my cheek. I swore mentally I'd tell Jacob when I was ready.

(Phillip's POV)
I found the perfect spot to wait for the monster,it was so obvious and not much security would be near the auditorium stage,that would be the best place. He'd pay for ruining me,my parents,and the love of my life.

I would use my curse to crush him into the dust then justice would be served. I smiled to myself as I made my way to the empty auditorium. The fun would start soon and I was going to have a good seat.

Sorry this chapter was so short I'm a bit low on ideas for the middle of this episode :lol:.
