ClarkMan tried to be nice, Lana's ego/love could not bear rejection and she forced the issue. I have seen numerous ends to relationships much worse than this and usually from the female side doing the separation.

Lana is an attractive girl with a horrendously tempermental personality. Clark is better off without her.

Give me a break, honestly. How can Lana be blindsided? She loves Clark, that's why she stayed with him. Clark is the most important person in her life(or was)! She didn't want to lose him, even if with the secrets and lies, because deep down she kept hoping he would open up. Clark is the one who called her to come to metropolis, saying it was going to be a day she'll never forget. Then he says, whoops, Umm it wasn't that important. How can Lana not harp on secrets and lies? These are the same people who were mad that Lana didn't harp on the fact that Clark raised from the dead. Can't have it both ways.....

Clana is like Jason, Freddy, Alien, et al... It just keeps coming back, no matter HOW many times you kill it. It's the only thing that keeps this writing team going!
