With Martha going off as a Senator, who will run the Talon?
My guess is Lois since she is staying in the above apartment and not doing college or anything at the moment.

All by herself? But, but that would mean she'd have to peddle muffins and coffee? Is that even possible?
Seriously though, the Talon has become the child no one wants. First Lana, then Martha now Lois? The Talon seems to be losing steam on the show, no pun intended.

I don't see them getting rid of it though. Then aside from the farm, Metropolis and the hospital, where will they do all their scenes?

Shelby could run it.

Honestly I don't know, the writers may get rid of it.

Lois of course, until she gets tired of being a muffin peddler and enrolls herself at Met U and finally starts her career.

I doubt the writers can ever truely let go of the Talon.
Maybe Pete, Henry Small, Gabe Sullivan and Jason could all run it.

If they let it go, they mught have to overly stress themselves figuring out what to replace it with.
They have enough trouble watching older TV series and movies to decide what stories they can steal (i mean adapt) for smallville.

here is a theory....
They get rid of the TALON. Have Lois get a clue and take her college experience seriously so that now you will have Martha's senate office, the kent home, random metropolis sites, MET U, Luthor corp building and plant as well as other random spots depending on the story to use as backdrop. The Talon never really was anything more than a starbucks.

Seems likely. Hee Hee. Peddling Muffins! <
I think Brainiac or Zod should blow the Talon up!

It's funny, but since the "Muffin Peddler" comment by Lex it seems everyone is calling Lois "Muffin Peddler". It's so catchy.
I agree that Brainiac or Zod should destroy the Talon. Imagine Zod, fresh from the Phantom Zone, marches into the Talon on a mission: fresh coffee.
Lois: What can I get you?
Zod: I require refreshment.
Lois; That's a little vague.
Zod: Whatever you recommend then.
Lois: OK, one Talon special. Do you want it Crow Cup sized?
Zod: Yes, that's fine.
Lois: Cream? Sugar?
Zod (ever more impatiently): Yes, yes.
Lois: How do you want it? Frothy? On top? Mixed in?
Zod (rising to the point of anger): Yes, fine.
Lois: Well, which one?
Zod (angry now): I don't care! You choose.
Lois (impertinantly): OK then, ruin your coffee. See if I care.
Zod: Brainiac!
Brainiac: Yes, my lord!
Zod: Wipe this establishment from the face of the planet!
Brainiac: Was it the Talon special? You really need to try it with cream...
Zod: NOW!
Brainiac: Yes, my lord.

How hard can it really be to run the Talon? I mean, Lois does it, I would think anyone could, even a dead JK

Well since they found a dead body there, I think that alone would kill the business.....
ouch, wrong word....

I remind everyone that Lex still owns the Talon, and I can not imagine Lex giving that job to Lois.
I guess that we will have to wait and see.

Nospam that dialogue was better then any in "Tomb".
I am serious. I am not being sarcastic.
The dialogue written in Nospam's post was better then the trash we saw last night.

You hated Tomb that much, eh? I liked it, but it was...odd in some ways. What didn't you like about the episode? Besides the scariness the episode had some high moments for me, such as the heart to heart talk between Clark and Chloe at the end of the episode, Clark's advice to Chloe to go see her mother and Chloe actually doing so.

The Talon seems to be where they put characters they don't know what to do with. That's why Lana got it originally.

I found the episode to be a B horror movie, and nothing to advance the mythology of superman. I watch for Clark to become superman.

That would be idiotic. If they get rid of the Talon where would people go to get their coffee?

Startbucks? What an opportunity for product placement. Plus there will be wireless internet connection for the Chloe/Clark investigative team. Wouldn't that be helpful? Plus, plus the Talon is haunted, the locks don't work, the plumbing is bad, Lana doesn't care about it any more, and Martha doesn't need that job anymore.

The Talon will turn out to be alive....because it was built on...meteor rock.
Yeah.
That's it.
God I hope that doesn't happen!
