Clark didn't act upon when Lionel said to him, Thank you my son in a deeper, different kind of voice. Why did he not say anything? Why would Jor-El be in the FOS talking to him in that voice-over, but can use Lionel as well? Now that Lionel is gone from Luthorcorp, maybe he should stay in the FOS and learn about the universe. Besides hitting on Martha, what else will he be doing? Does anyone think its odd that Clark didn't say anything, or has said anything to his parents or Chloe about Lionel being inhabited by Jor-El?

Yeh, but how would he explain it.

'Mom, you know lionel the man who attacked dad. Maybe jorel sometimes and sometimes he is actually lionel, but it could be jor-el pretending to be lionel.;

He prob didn;t say anything cos he wasn;t certain. If he said anything and he was wrong it would make lionel suspicious.

Maybe he already knows and it's not a secret between them. Jor-El said he could use Lionel's body anytime Clark would need him (like when he hinted to Chloe about Professor Fine in 'Solitude'). AI Jor-El in the FOS can't really help Clark very much from there, so he uses a "vessel" to inhabit. Why would Jor-El need to learn about the universe? (he basically already does, lol). Maybe Jor-El isn't always in Lionel's body, just inhabits it when he is needed, or needs to say something to Clark. Or maybe Lion-El is really both Lionel and Jor-El at the same time (hard to expain), and not just Jor-El acting like Lionel. Both would explain why we see the old Lionel that we all love to hate (that loves Martha) and the mysterious helper who knows more then meets the eye. He really never tells his parents about what Jor-El has said to him, why would he make her worried. Also Chloe don't trust Lionel, I wouldn't either when he tried to kill me.

Chloe seemed like nothing happened in Solitude.

or maybe it was because he was nearly choked to death... when you are nearly choked like that, your voice changes for atleast a minute after... I have had something fall on my neck before... not pleasant... for 30 seconds after i had a scratchy deeper voice

Honestly, I didn't take it as Jor-El inhabiting Lionel. I'm not ruling it out, but I just didn't feel that when I saw it.

Personal opinion, Lionel wants Martha. Clark is Martha's son. Lionel's trying to get in good with the relatives. :)

It wasn't Jor-El, people are just wanting it to be.

I just listened to it about 5 times and its just Lionel, nothing more.

And i'm sure he's called him son in past episodes, i don't see that as any great twist to be honest.

he called him son just out of thanks for saving him. he didn't imply anything else.

Lionel has his "ideas" about Clark.... Lionel wants Martha.... Martha has a chance to take an office seat and has a "special" son.... Lionel plays his cards right, he gets it all

It's just an expression. People are reading a little too much into it...
