View Full Version : SEX TALK...The Best of Chloe and Clark!?

Now, on a slightly serious note!

Clark and Chloe have now engaged in the Best Dialog between them to date, of which some have already questioned a certain implied meaning. But, it appears that Clark has now found courage to share, even his most awkward and intimate dilemma with his Current Confidant Chloe! (wishing she were his Current Flame)

Of course, the dialog is "Priceless" between them, which I, and many find "Ridiculously Hilarious" and then, some seemed confused and bewildered while others, couldn't care less!

However, there is one piece of dialog the Writers have injected for Allison's Chloe to say. Something of which, I fear, already has Implications to Clark and Chloe's Future Relationship! A Term used by the Writers, that from here on will be "cemented" or strictly applied ONLY to Chloe---------"Krypto-hag"! :(

A current interpretation of "Krypto-hag"! from our friend and fellow poster 'Old Juan' states that:

"Krypto Hag is Smallville's spin on the actual slang term "fag hag" which describes a female who is either best friends with or has a "girlfriends" type relationship with a homosexual male."

Taken further, this suggests that Al Gough has now reduced or
"Pigeoned Holed" a "single and unattached" Chloe to a "Provider of Answers and Solutions" to Clark's "Kryptonian" problems, that ONLY Jor-El can really provide!

Nevertheless, as far as the SEX TALK Dialog goes, this episode has gone down as THE BEST in Smallville History!

If you agree this was the Best Scene/Dialog between Clark and Chloe in this Episode 'Fanatic', then cast you vote and discuss!

Try and keep to PG-13 / TV-14 Rating folks!:p

I voted "Definitely YES!…This Dialog Above All Others!"

Best Chlark talk to date!!

Someone defined Krypto-Hag in the spoiler forum, they said it was something like a take on the slang "censored Hag", I believe they said a censeored Hag is straight freind to a gay person that share sex talk with . For example "Grace" from "Will and Grace" would be considered a censored Hag.

Note the actual term has a more derogatary term for gay in front of it, but I didn't want offend anyone, so I ommitted that term from this post. :)

I guess you already noticed it above, it was "Old Juan" the poster in that forum who cited the phrase?

Now when you say the Sex Talk between Clark and Chloe, exactly which episode are you talking about?

Okay, I get it. the sex talk of this episode. Weird, cuz the poll occurred before we saw the episode and thus, before the sex talk.

Shame on Clark for doing that to Chloe. Wow, Chloe is such a good friend...poor Chloe

There was a preview clip that aired before the episode did showing the whole talk between them. That is how people knew what it was about.

Best Chloe / Clark talk is where Chloe told him you made all the same choices except you trusted me when Clark lost his memory.

I second that. Blank was an amazing episode, and that last scene was just touching. The sex talk scene was amusing, but it wasn't...to use Chloe's lack of a better word...special. If anything, the scene was sort of depressing...

I mean denigrating Chloe to a Krypto-Hag. Geez Clark, get over yourself.

I think the best part of the episode dealt with Clark's "intimacy" issues. I thought the main plot was boring, but that scene with Chloe and Clark...priceless. I love Chloe.

Yes! Allison is always great!

All great responses with a slight edge in the "YES category Re: the "Krypto-Hag" remark!

And an observation:

NOW WE KNOW.....

Chloe was "clearly annoyed" at being seen by Clark as such. If you watched closely her responses AFTER she mentioned the term "Krypto-Hag", she forcefully told Clark to go on the offense to Lana and she walked out the room even as you could her footsteps and the door close!

Allison you still have it!

SUPERB!:p

It's all about the Krypto-hag comment. I loved it. Such a funny scene.

And Allison does have it. She didn't even have to talk in that scene, b/c her facial expressions alone sold it.

Awesome conversation between the two. Funny but with sage advice too.

No-El don't sweat the KryptoHag comment. I loved it! I just think it goes to show you that Clark is more comfortable around Chloe than anyone else. He knows he can talk with her about anything. He can be himself and confide with her about anything on his mind. It was really quite a compliment. I wish I was Clark's Krypto Hag!

While it was mildly humorous, it was by no means the best dialogue ever. Plus, just as Clark was supremely insensitive to ask Chloe to research Alicia for dating potential in Unsafe, knowing Chloe still had feelings for him not to mention having just kissed her sweetly on the cheek and implied there might someday be a time for Chloe (if he ever got over the pathetic Lana), this likewise falls under the same heading. Clark has no right to whine about any problems with his sex life to CHloe who, he knows does still harbor feelings for him no matter what she says about being a big girl now.

Not even an alien should be that insensitive. It made Clark look like a complete jerk and an idiot though that's not hard to do since he knows his father supposed ly had a relatinship (again-disgusting) with an earthwoman. The cave walls say that he will have someone special someday in addition to the Kawatche legends about their race being the rsult of Kryptonian-Earth girl relationship. Just how stupid must they make Clark?

Chloe oughta just say on your own, dude and throw him out.

I wish she had let him finish the sentence. Left me sort of wondering exactly what he was afraid would happen in the heat of the moment. Was he afraid that he would crush her during sex or was it more that when he climaxed his release would be at such a speed it would be like shooting Lana with a bullet?

I take it you voted: "NO!…There Is Other Great Dialog Between Them!!"???

I can I understand your frustration with Clark Kent, he is as the writers have portrayed him in the past clueless.

However, Clark's need, AND please note the word NEED of someone's listening ear above all others was Chloe!

Not his mother Martha, who is his "heart and soul"! (Clark quote from Solitude)

Not Lana, who he should but could not speak to at this point in their relationship.

And certainly not Lois, who (at this point in time) he despises with all his Kryptonian Being!

Which, would only leave one person, who has stuck by him in all his troubles and she who has Clark has rescued from danger and death many times in the past------his BEST FRIEND for LIFE.....Chloe!

They may Both care for each other in such a way not realizing the TRUE NATURE of THEIR BOND!!!

There have been so many fantastic intimate Clark/Chloe conversations this season, far more than any other, that it's hard to choose one over another.

We have:

- The discussion of the secret in Arrival.
- The hilarious back and forth in Mortal. "Pete found your spaceship!?" that always cracks me up.
- Touching conversation at the end of Hidden.
- Chloe's confession in Splinter that she would give up her life to protect Clark's secret.
- Cozy fireside chat in Solitude.
- Clarks, uh, "problem" in Fanatic. While certainly hilarious, I found the second conversation more poignant especially Chloe's oberservation that Jonathan wants to be Clark's hero. I have to second the opinion that Clark was a total cad for bringing this problem to Chloe in the first place. Does not he realize how Chloe feels about him?

I'd have to say that the conversation in Hidden moved me the most. It was the first time we saw Clark really open up to Chloe as he had come to realize that he can trust her.

My second choice is the conversation they had in Blank behind the barn. He instinctively knew he could trust Chloe even though he had forgotten everything about her and Chloe basically admitted that she adores him. It was cute and touching at the same time. And the great "You trusted me" line at the end. How could you not put it together? Clark is such a huge, dumb, alien dork.

Wow, my setiments exactly.....or at least very close. I've been starting to really dislike Clark for a while now.....but never more than Lana....although the times....they are a changing. The whole Lana research thing is actually getting quite interesting now (except for one or two ridiculous Lana sleuthing points), and although I loved the Clark/Chloe sex talk scene, I hate the fact that writters have now made Clark a politicaly correct teenager. Because in doing so....have also begun to make him a p**s poor icon in my eyes. As Lois would probably say....."First the Alien Beds the Girl, and then he asks her to marry him ?" (if the spoilers are correct that is). Oh yeah, that's our beloved icon.....Kal-el.....the Last Horny Son of Krypton.

* There's a small part of me that still wants Chloe with Clark, but there's another part that keeps saying "Keep the hell away from her you jerk.......you don't deserve her.......go back to Lana.....you've made your bed....now "lie" in it.......you Big Dumb A**.

Even though the scene was great for comic reactions, reeeeaaaly selfish (and maybe even a little cruiel) of Clark, considering the way Chloe has felt about him in the past. Whether she still likes him or not. Give Pete a call (for Pete's sake) or sprint over there for a heart to heart.

Interesting and thought provoking sentiments "nospam" and "CK & CK"!!

One wonders if the writers know how to handle, if any FUTURE relationship between them??

If they (and probably won't) go the next interim route of Clark and Chloe as a couple!!

It was pretty funny, but Clark's sex life with Lana is probably the last subject Chloe wants to talk about. Even for a guy, Clark was being an insensitive blockhead. I would think this is an indicator that Clark has pretty well discarded the idea of ever having any romance with Chloe and doesn't think of her that way at all anymore. A guy does not go to somebody he considers to be a potential future girlfriend and start a discussion about having sex with some other girl. Even Clark wouldn't be that dumb.

Man, you are so right!

I was blind to that piece of insight and I couldn't have said it bette myself!

Poor Chloe doesn't have a chance, but, however, there was an indication in there dialog that suggest a glimmer of hope:

Clark: How far do you want to CROSS the Boundaries of our friendship??

Chloe: I did not think we had ANY BOUNDARIES!!

The word Boundaries may be applied to any FACET of their relationship------handshakes, huggs, kisses, looks of expression, etc......... :p

Luckily, that bone, read Chlark kiss has not been given to us this season yet. That means, if it does come, this season holds the greatest potential for a hook-up...given that now the Chlark friendship has NO boundaries.

Waits anxiously for this season's bone...

THe kitchen talk in Jinx was great as was the whole Blank ep minus the horrible heat vision moment, the fireside chat was also great and the Arrival talk was probably best. That was the moment when, if Clark had two functioning brain cells and behaved as he has for four years now, whining that he wants a girl he can trust and be open with, he would have kissed Chloe and carried her off to Smallville and dumped Lana, the girl he knows he can't trust or share his secret with for very good and fully documented reasons, for good.

After seeing this scene,I'm not too sure that I want Chlark to happen anymore.Clark sees Chloé as he sees Pete, just like an old friend. The worst scenario that could happen to a girl in love.

I wasn't that happy with it, it really put Chloe in the Pete zone. I know the history of the story but one can always hope for CHlark.

Yes, one can always hope. Thinking Chloe deserves better than Clark because of the way Clark treats her (like Sweetie mentions) isn't going over to the side of clanas.

BUT!! Knowing how Chloe feels about Clark (and knowing that if Clark reciprocates her feelings he wouldn't be anything but gentle, caring, and sweet), I think nothing could make Chloe happier than a romantic relationship with an alien, even if it is a BDA like Clark.

I think Clark and Chloe have great chemistry, and its too bad their making the poor girl to now just be a shoulder for CK to whine on about Lana. I understand the point of the conversation was Clark was expressing his fear of hurting Lana, and thats not something he felt comfortable talking to his parents about, so poor Chloe got to hear it instead. However, I don't think I'll ever think Clark has half a brain when it comes to poor Chloe until the guy finally has a eureka moment and realizes that this girl is someone he could love, as more than his buddy, that knows his secret. Yes, I know he's suppose to fall in love eventually, supposedly, with the impostor Lois, but there's a long road between that time and this. Sorry for the rant, just hoping.

Yes, I would have went for the 6th option over every other one.

Looking back at the convo of Fanatic, I think I realized something different. Remember Chloe's line, "Well, you didn't need me to tell you that?" To me, this points to the fact that Clark isn't exactly scared of hurting her. That is his justification for a more fundamental problem that Clark sees in his relationship with Lana. That fundamental problem is in part about trust, and in part about what he fears to be an inevitable end to their (Clana) relationship.

Bah, I didn't get a chance to see the episode.

I don't suppose anyone who has it recorded could give me some dialogue of what happened?

Lifebound

Chloe: So I know you didn't come by this late at night just to drop off this press release. What happened?

Clark: How far do you want to cross this friendship boundary?

Chloe: Since when did we have boundaries. Alright, why don't you just leave out the details.

Clark: Well, everything was fine between Lana and I when I was...human. I mean it was great.

Chloe: Kay, Clark?

Clark: But now that I have my abilities back, its like our....sex...life...has been on hiatus.

Chloe: OHH...uhhh....I know I'm going to regret asking this question, but um, why?

Clark: Cuz it just takes some time to adjust my abilities to new situations.

Chloe: Wow...uhhh. Awkward factor 8. Ahm, so basically what you're saying is that you're afraid that in the heat of the moment you might.... (Pause, Chloe looks at Clark and vice versa). Please don't make me finish this sentence Clark.

Clark: Well see, thats the thing, I don't know what will happen. I mean if I couldn't control myself.

Chloe: Okay, you know what, right there, thats something that can never be unseen (I don't quite get this line, but okay)

Clark: Its not funny

Chloe: Yeah, you're right, its not. Its just that this conversation definately cements me as your krypto-hag. Look Clark, you can shake my hand without breaking it and can look at things without breaking it, so i mean its the same thing, at least metaphorically. But you didn't need me to tell you all that, so what gives?....

Clark babbles on about lying to lana, chloe mentions about offense to defense, etc. etc.

Krypto hag plays on the word faghag. Fag hag being a girl in a close friendship with someone gay. Instead of being gay, Clark is a BDA and Lana is his SDH lover. I think I hope I phrased the explanation of Faghag right...

Thanks for the comments folks!

Now, I known for sometime what "BDA" means when referring to Clark, and I've also known what "Fag hag" means, but can someone or you Lifebound explain the "SDH" meaning applied to infamous Lana??

Thanks.:D

I'm guessing "SDH" stand for "small, dumb human".

Oh, now I get the meanings!

Thanks, but it is still Chloe's "Krypto-Hag" remark and the writers maybe sending us a message to her now changed status!

I wish they had not made Allison's Chloe say that line!:(

Lifebound
01-19-2006, 03:43 PM
I know what you mean. That line had me somewhat depressed for a couple of days after the episode. But now I look back on the conversation and I realize what is suggested - Chloe's dissatisfaction, the way Clark always goes to Chloe, etc.

Btw, why exactly did Clark say, "How far do you want to cross this friendship line?" It implies that by asking their status as friends might change.

In the faghag scenario, the girl who is friends with the gay guy can only be friends with the guy (cuz he is gay). So, take this case to Chloe. Clark is gay, and Chloe loves Clark. This means Chloe has no chance with Clark. The krypto-hag comment essentially replaces Clark with Kryptonian and suggests by the very nature of being Kryptonian and Clark her love for Clark is futile and destined to be Platonic.

My apologies. I think my whole perspective on the future of Chlark and of Chloe will be cemented by the occurrences in Reckoning, so I will cross my fingers and hope for the best.

Yes, as Welling said in interview:

"Reckoning is the turning point"....nothing will be the same!

Image you and I and the rest of the Global population who watches Smallville, just minutes before the anticipated air time...to have churned and butterfly stomachs, particuaryly the females and ladies who post here on the boards!

ProudPenny and Chiriru are the mods, and I would wonder how they'd feel before air time??

Well, thanks for your response and could not help notice the
"will be cemented" remark in your post!

Chloe's Sex Talk phrase "cemented as....Krypto-hag" will be fixed in my brain for life!

I don't think that Chloe should've told Clark to go for it with Lana. She doesn't know what will happen and she shouldn't be encouraging Clark to take those kind of risks.

That is hilarious! I read a review one time (can't remember where) of Superman 3 where Clark goes 'bad' on some substance. The reviewer mentions on Superman always just out to get laid in that plot, although the way she says it is a lot funnier than the way I just did

Definitely one of the best dialogs between them. It showed that he feels comfortable enough around Chloe to discuss even the most intimate of subjects, more comfortable than he feels with Lana. Thus, this leaves the door open for him to maybe actually become intimate with her at some point. He opened up about something deep and personal, and she responded in a delicate and caring way. I would have loved to see them take this further, thus my urge to write the fic. "The Object of his Desire" (http://www.kryptonsite.com/forums/showthread.php?postid=2306099#post2306099) which starts out with this scene. :)
