View Full Version : It's called a TEASER trailer for a reason.

It sounds like most people were expecting a 3 minute long trailer, and are all complaining. 'OMG IT SUCKED!'
Was I disappointed? Yeah, it was short. But I knew it would be. It's supposed to leave you wanting to see more, and that's what it did.

Yep, I wasn't expecting much. Plus, they are, like, 7 months until its released in late June, what did people expect: full length clips?
I was looking forward to it but after seeing the teaser I really want to see it now!

It's not the length... it's the footage that was shown...
There was no scope to any of it except that last two shots, and THOSE shots looked like they were pulled from a VIDEO GAME! The sfx were laughable they were so bad. I mean honestly! That's what angered me the most.

Call it a teaser all you want, Superman Returns is still going to suck.

I thought you were going to talk about the Lex-mas trailer. I don't know if it was just my television, but there was no trailer, just a five second shot of Lex staring into space...

Talk about an advanced screening, are you Harry Knowles?
Saying so does not make it so.

Actually, all the trailer left me was a strong urge for a bagel. Not really wanting more of it.

After the teaser, I have a better feeling about the film than I did before. The only reasons I wanted to see it before were Kate Bosworth and the very fact that it was about Superman. Not that I learned much about the film from the teaser, but it looked like it had "style" at least, though not sure how much. I hardly think we saw enough of the effects there to make a judgement on them. But then, people have been howling about how the effects made the Hulk movie suck, but guys I know that are in the CGI business say they are as good as anything out there and I tend to agree with him (I still don't know why that movie is so hated, I enjoy it greatly. Now, Daredevil was pretty bad).

As for Lexmas, I love Christmas stories, especially Scroogey types, so I expect to enjoy it. Yeah, there wasn't much to the trailer, but it did have a great "Ebeneezer Luthor" look to it that got me psyched! I'm sure many folks will not like it because there seems to be a big negative reaction for anything holiday thematic and fun. It's written off as cheezy filler, even when it doesn't completely exclude the running plot of the show.

Actually, I did kinda word that wrong. Didn't mean to imply that my opinion is fact. What I meant to say was, it still looks like crap to me. My thoughts on Superman Returns are all over the internet on different message boards, and I don't feel like typing them up here. Just know that I despise every inch of SR, save for the Williams theme.

It didn't leave me wanting to see more. I have no intention of seeing that garbage. Since when does Superman wear makeup and shoe polish in his hair????????? These people are destroying the Superman franchise.

Why? I mean your opinion of the movie is foul and it seems like that since you feel this overwhelming need to obsessively tell everyone hundreds of times that this movie is that bad it must be that you actually have nothing better than try to sell us your anger and pain. What is it really that you hate? Tell us about your childhood. Did a kid wear a Superman shirt and beat you up? Is it Brandon's or Bryan's fault?
Seriously man, I am not trying to get into it with you, but I truly think that you should fnd a forum that is geared towards hating a movie or even start your own thread that say "FOR ALL HATERS OF SUPERMAN RETURNS!". I joined this forum because it was a safe place where I never had to hear people berate the role model that I so respect. This movie could be horrible, but it will be me that makes that decision, not you. Your posts make me want to defend it. It could be the worst picture since (Insert worst movie ever here) and I would still buy the DVD months after I saw it about ten times in the theatre and purchased the clothing and every other piece of collectible merchandise they solicit to the public. I will go to Metropolis Illinois for the Superman convention and tell everyone how many times I saw it and how much I loved it. Because that is what a fan does, they are there every step of the way. I don;t know you and you don;t know me, or anyone else here. I beg of you, please tell me what about the movie is not to your liking so I can defend a point, not an assumption. You never knoe, you just might love it. Or has the cover already thrown you off?
I loved the trailer. Yes I thought the flying could have been more realistic. But hey, 7 months till release and I am sure that those three seconds will be outweighted by the other 140 or so in the movie. (That is me hoping it is that long)

Sigh... some people just don't get it no matter what...
As was mentioned by some rather astute posters above, it's a TEASER. IT'S MEANT TO TEASE YOU!
Is teasing always nice? No. They may have left less than perfect visual FX to get some of you into a real nipple-twister over the whole thing. It was short, sweet, and it left you gasping for more, whether you though it sucked or not...
and that's the point of a teaser...
THEY WANT YOU CLAMMERING AND CHOMPING AT THE BIT TO SEE MORE...
Patience will reward those who wait to see what Bryan and Co. have in store for us...

Hold on. I wasn't trying to sell you my anger or pain. I was simply, as is the point of message boards, telling my opinion of SR. It came out wrong, with me stating it as fact. I'm unsure of what my childhood has to do with it, but if you must know, it's Mr. Singer's fault. It's his talentless direction and un-original ideas that are destroying any chance of my favorite comic book hero of all time getting a respectable movie since 1978.
"Seriously man, I am not trying to get into it with you,"
And I'm not trying to get into it with you.
"but I truly think that you should fnd a forum that is geared towards hating a movie or even start your own thread that say "FOR ALL HATERS OF SUPERMAN RETURNS!". I joined this forum because it was a safe place where I never had to hear people berate the role model that I so respect."
I don't believe I ever berated Superman. I'm just as big a Superman fan as yourself, I'm sure. I'm only against Superman Returns because of how disrespectful it is to the comics.
"This movie could be horrible, but it will be me that makes that decision, not you."
Again, I took back what I said as it did come out wrong. I implied that my opinion was fact, when it clearly isn't. I never said I made your decision.
"Your posts make me want to defend it. Maybe that is what a fan does, but not every fan, such as myself, wants to take a trip all the way down to Illinois for a convention.
"I don;t know you and you don;t know me, or anyone else here. I beg of you, please tell me what about the movie is not to your liking so I can defend a point, not an assumption. You never knoe, you just might love it. Or has the cover already thrown you off?"
Honestly, the movie just looks terrible. Brandon Routh, a man who was fired from a soap opera is playing this iconic character. I've never, ever been the biggest Bryan Singer fan. I find him overrated, and his films lacking any real quality. I don't like the, as I said, un-original idea of just using Superman II continuity. That is the epitomy of lazy.
Instead of doing something new, we just re-hash what others have done before. It's also kind of morbid just re-using Brando footage, kind of disturbing. The costume is absolutely awful. The shield is way to small, the, no offense to anybody on this board, homosexual looking hip-huggers. Not to mention that Brandon Routh doesn't make me think of Superman, but of a GQ model.
That's just the tip of the iceberg, and the least of Superman Returns problems. You asked me to list what I despised, so I did.
"I loved the trailer. Yes I thought the flying could have been more realistic. But hey, 7 months till release and I am sure that those three seconds will be outweighted by the other 140 or so in the movie. (That is me hoping it is that long)"
Now that, I agree with. If anyone remembers the trailer for Spider-Man, there was that one shot of him landing on the bridge with the Goblin that looked absolutely terrible. By the time the film came along, it looked fine. I'm sure the flying will be better come June, but that's not enough for me.

Not to turn this into a Bryan Singer debate but I have to say I've enjoyed a few of his films a lot. The Usual Suspects, X-Men, X2.
I admit he is still wet behind the ears but as a director I really apriciate his work. I like the looks and the excitment he brings to his films and even the darkness that's sewn in there.
I'm a huge Superman fan, I wouldn't go to the conventions either because they are so far away. But I am going to just love having a new Superman movie, and one that uses contenuity from previous incarnations of the films, I'm exstatic.
There are going to be changes, just like Wolverine didn't wear yellow spandex. But the costume looks great in my opinion (other than the small sheild). I think Brandon Routh is going to be a great Superman, he looks Supermanish, how he acts might be different, but I doubt they would have given a role as important as this to someone who would dissapoint.
They who have been working on this new movie have been treating it with a sort of holy ground and such respect unshown to movies I've known in the past. The character himself is not only an American Icon in this day and age, but a world icon for all that is good.
I would expect the treatment of this film to be no less than that which they seem to be giving it now. I believe it will be a great ride and I'm jumping out of my skin to see it. I can't hold myself back hardly at all just at the thought of this thing being released in 8 months.
I've been waiting for over 5 years for this thing to get off the ground and now it's so near completion! I'm just overly excited. The fact that they have so many "experts" working this thing just makes me even more happy. It's like having a crack team of the best people from around the world coming together to create something bigger than the likes of anything we've seen in a while.
People keep complaining about the stuff that comes out of Hollywood, well I'll tell you this. Next year, this movie will be this years Star Wars at the box office.
As for the trailer, I think they were outdone by the fan trailer, and I think they figured why work so hard on something that someone else has already given them. That's a crap thing to do, but I understand there might be some hard feelings there. As a fan I absolutely enjoyed the fan trailer. I thought the WB teaser was crap, other than the Brando VO. I'm just loving that they are using his stuff, Brando was awesome, and I don't think he gets due credit for his role in Superman movies outside the fan base.

I agree with the fact that the new costume stinks. I can't say I know much about Brandon, but I also agree that he doesn't strike me as Superman, but I'm willing to give it all a chance because the trailer made it more interesting for me. However, I wish they hadn't gone with the strange idea of continuing from Superman 2. Anyway, I didn't think Superman 3 was bad at all, even if Superman 4 was lame. I wish they'd just waited and done some Superman movies based on Smallville though, with the same cast. That's what I feel should have been done to have some great Batman and Superman movies out there to compete with all the new Marvel stuff! Love the new Batman saga they've started so far!
As for Bryan Singer, the X-men films are pretty darn popular. I loved them myself and felt the sequel was another in the growing line of sequels that improved upon their predecessors.

For those complaining about the poor CGI, or other criticisms of the Teaser Trailer, most of the scenes shown appear to be scenes that have been previously released to the public, scenes that have yet to be retooled.
In other words I'm sure that the CGI will be much better in the final product.

Haha Smallvillerocks45 I thought this was talking about the Lexmas trailer too. Which is was! Because it sucked! 3 seconds of Lex's head and just when it started to play music it stopped!
I liked the Superman trailer. It was teased and detailed just right and the bits of glimse we saw of him were great.
It was only the first trailer people! One that's not released yet! There will be much more anticipation later.

Why the heck do we need an origin movie? We had that with the first movie, and we have that with Smallville, I'm glad they stayed away from that, it worked with Batman Begins because Batman's origins weren't really much explored in the movies before, Superman's origins have been.
I am guessing they're going to stay somewhat within the same continuity as the first two movies, which is why we might get some scenes repeated, nothing wrong with that.
Anyways it just irriates me that people say this movie is going to suck, opinions aren't fact, and I respect your opinion, but honestly I dont get how anyone can judge ANYTHING about this movie without having seen the WHOLE thing onscreen. A minute and half teaser doesn't give us much to go on ;)

LOL! I know! I'm pretty sure that scene won't even be in "Lexmas", because it looked like the on in "Hidden" right before Lana busts in like she owns the place-just with Christmas music in the backround. I know someone said that it was suspose to be a "teaser trailer", I don't think so, I think it was a mistake. When they went on to show the trailer for the Christmas movie, I was WTF? I was convinced for a few seconds there that TPTB screwed up somehow and was showing the trailer for Christmas Everwood ep! Oh Well....Guess I'll just have to start watching WB at random times and hope that they will show the trailer.
And I thought the trailer for Superman Returns looked good, didn't see much of the movie really, but it was a teaser trailer so its all good.

"I am guessing they're going to stay somewhat within the same continuity as the first two movies, which is why we might get some scenes repeated, nothing wrong with that."
Of course there's something wrong with that. It's called copying. What's wrong with copying? If I wanted to see a copy of that original Superman movie trash, I'd rent it. Also, those first two movies were/are terrible. Back in 1978-1980, this garbage was considered good by most people (except Brando, who offered money to the studio to remove his scenes from what he considered to be total garbage) because they didn't know any better since not many films of this type had been produced. The standard of comparison (the Superman 1950s TV series, Superman cartoons, other action/adventure movies, etc.) was pretty weak.
"Anyways it just irriates me that people say this movie is going to suck, opinions aren't fact, and I respect your opinion, but honestly I dont get how anyone can judge ANYTHING about this movie without having seen the WHOLE thing onscreen. A minute and half teaser doesn't give us much to go on."
Hello... it's because we know garbage when we see it and we've been down this road before with other movies. If the trailer and/or ads s*ck, there's about an 80% probability that the movie is going to s*ck. Think about it...out of hours and hours of footage, all they have to do is show you 30-60 seconds of footage that doesn't s*ck. They can't even do that. Sorry, but this movie is probably going to be worse than Superman III or IV, if you can possibly imagine such garbage.

the should have not showed Superman's face. Why? Because we don't know WHO THE HELL the kid is. Thats the first thing my friend watching it with me said, is "whos that guy?" The should have just shown back shots of him, just trhe cape or what have you.
The best thing though was that at least it doesn't look "CHEESY" like the old ones. That shot of Supes looking down on Earth was AWESOME!

the standards in the 80s are different than today. compare all the TV shows, teenage murder/sex movies, superhero movies (do you remember the spiderman movies with nicholas hammond and the 2 that came out recently?).
but the superhero movies definitely have gotten better, even if none of them still stick to the original comics stories 100%.
i just hope it is not a comedy if it stays in the same universe as the original superman films. using bimbo actresses and laughable characters as the enemy of the movie just didn't do justice to superman who can fight much better opponents.

After that first snapshot of Routh as Superman came out on the internet, I thought for sure this movie would be subpar. Then after I saw this teaser trailer, it confirmed my initial thoughts. I think that many of us are disappointed with the movie coming out because we love Smallville so much that we naturally wanted to see TW as Superman (I'm still DISAPPOINTED ABOUT THAT), anyway, I actually liked the trailer. I liked the colors and the concepts shown and I enjoyed the VO by the Late Marlon Brando. I think we should just give it a shot... we don't want to assume it's going to be bad.. as previously stated, Singer did the X-Men justice (I'm more worried about X3 since he's not involved than I am about Superman). It might not be bad.... time will tell....

Not sure I agree with this. Those two X-men films certainly weren't bad, but they definitely could have been better.
I'm excited about SR. The teaser was great and left me wanting more. I must have seen it a hundred times already and it gets better each time. The way the scenes in the teaser match the music, "The Planet Krypton", was really well done. I can't wait for the full length trailer to come out and I can't wait to see the movie!
god that costume looks worse in motion than it does in just still images, superman wears red not maroon!!!! one of the many problems with this movie

Guys, the costume and the colors are actually far more traditional than you realize. The costume and colors are based of the old comics including the "S". It's not modernized. In fact it's just bringing history the franchaise back is all.
The old 1940s cartoon use the same costurme style.

My sister liked the trailer. She said it was great and she can't wait to see the movie now. IMHO. She has very low expectations for a teaser trailer. True is teaser trailer is supposed to TEASE you. Yet instead of being teased I was Bored. I didn't expect to see a 10 min deal like with BB, I knew it was going to be really short. But honestly it wasn't enough to make me want to see it. I think I will be very happy once I just hear BR voice. I want to know whether or not he is going to sound as much like the girly man as much as he looks it.

sure but its not the 1940's anymore and that bothers a lot of true superman fans, the movie should be up with the times and modern, it worked for so many other superhero movies, that costume has got to go but its too late now, well just have to wait and see till summer 06 on how this movie will turn out.....

"True" Superman fans? Gee, that's a big generalization that is vastly inaccurate. Only a small miniority complained about the time, but if you go to Superman Homepage, Blue Tights, and many DC comics boards actually love it. Ironically, the general audience believe it is a modern costume when it is in fact not. It's tradition, and shows the movie respects the past unlike another Superman show I know. It show respect, and that is far better IMO than a complaint about a suit no one really realized was already drawn roughly 60 years ago.
The costume is perfect, and I can see and understand why it stayed ;).

"perfect", that thing is almost far from perfect, pick up a superman comic today and see how just "perfect" it compares to the source material, and i dunno where u have been seeing that most fans love it, iv heard some that like it but not love, iv been to many different superman returns related forums and iv seen that the fans themselves have been altering the costume to what it should really look like, see for yourself http://www.superherohype.com/forums/showthread.php?t=174971&page=317
I don't like the costume meself, but that's not what I'm not interested. Nothing I've read has caught my eye and I was thinking that the teaser might change my mind, but all I was left with was a strong urge for a bagel.

Uh, we know the suit is not based on the recent comics but the old age comics ;). That's kinda of an invalid evidence since we know what part of the timeline the suit is based on. The SHH boards are infamous of that. They are rarely optimistic about anything which I why I rarely go there, and I already stated my sources previously and they weren't from 'related forums' but actual Superman forums and websites. They want it modernized to their liking, but in a way it already is to many of the general audience which is what this movie is for. The general audience not rabid Superman fans. We only make a small percentage of the people.
There are people who do love the suit, but if a person thinks a suit makes Superman than they are clearly mistaken. It's the man that makes the suit not the other way around ;).

but the suit is the part of the man, its a symbol,he wears bright colors beacause he wants people to trust him, i love superman just as much as the next fan and i just dont want this legendary character be ruined, but the suit isnt the only problem with the movie so far, the 40's look, lex wearing wigs again, not an origin story, lois having a kid, superman being gone for 6 years, a sorta continuation from the old movies and sorta not, perry white being played as a strong silent type, im not one to judge something before i expireince it, but i just cant help it, iv been waiting for this movie for too long and i just want to see it done right

SV has already ruined the legendary character, and the dark age of comics almost did that as well.
Lex only wears a wig in a few scenes to pay homeage to Donner. We know this already. The kid we do not know about, and if you look at the storyline makes perfect sense. We already had an origin story why make another one when the first origin story was perfect.
You cleary already made your judgement by using evidence that is either no longer valid, or has very little support. The movie is not out yet, and from the Movie Series forum you kinda already showed your displeasure far before this trailer.

It did actually. Ruined the essential fundamentals of Superman, and majority of hardcore Superman fans despise the show in fact. The last two seasons emphasized it more and more.
I'm here because for one I am a Superman loyalist. No matter the incarnation I will watch, read, criticize, and analyze to my hearts content. I watch because I love Superman despite watching it go down the drains season by season. Two I have online buddies here I enjoy chatting with.
ETA: I watch SV now on an episode by episode basis. There are episodes I loved, and episodes I despised. The same with storylines.

I have to give my hats off to Kal-El1138, although yes he had some strong opinions, he is willing to defend them categorically. My post to him was defensive and he did not come out swinging, instead he handled it very diplomatically. He defended what he did not like. I can appreciate that. My respect to you Kal-El1138, you handled that well.
As for the film, we should all give it some time. I have to admit the colors and other things have concerned me but Bryan SInger has taken these SuperHero movies and done incredible jobs preserving what we all loved. I for one am truly excited about what is to come.

Thank you, DMA2. I really don't want to get into any heated arguments about SR with you, but I just really dislike the movie as it is. Anyway, here's to seeing Tom in the suit at least once, although it's not likely.
As a critic, I've never taken a stand on a movie when watching a trailer, generally because a trailer is what I like to call "hollow fanfare". Honestly, most trailers are the same to me. Some overly dramatic voiceover naming a male and a female star in an upcoming movie that will "blow you away" or will "come out swinging", etc.
A trailer is a statement that a movie is coming out, period. But there is a way to make a trailer good, and I think this trailer was done well. One of my favorite trailers of all time was the teaser for Episode II of Star Wars (Many of you will remember it by these words: the one where Darth Vader's breathing is in the background rhythmically). The reason that trailer was so good was that it said nothing at all, but it was such a great "tone-maker". It clearly defined the tone of the film as darker, more ominous. Plus, it made me want to see more, which is the entire point of a trailer after all.
I think this teaser trailer for Superman Returns is done very similarly to that for Ep II. You see a bunch of short glimpses with a rhythmic background (that of one of the great Superman themes by John Williams coinciding with the haunting and yet wonderfully nostalgic Marlon Brando voiceover). But there's a better reason why this teaser is so good. It's also a "tone-maker". It's hopeful, grandiose, inspiring despite the dark, threatening colors of the sets. It's a glimmer of light in a dome of darkness, so to speak. To me, that's what Superman has always symbolized. A glimmer of hope in a dark world. A reason to look at the heavens and wonder if man can fly.
This teaser has done what few have been able to do for me: I want to see more.
More generally, what has always attracted me to the Superman mythos was this glimmer of hope in a darkened world. I agree with many that a re-hash of what we have already seen is undesirable (This is one reason I like Smallville so much; it has not treaded over the same territory but instead has put a different spin on it). However, nostalgia ain't a bad thing, either. And who didn't get shivers when we heard Marlon Brando say, "They can be a great people, Kal-El"?
One final note: One thing I'm really liking about this season of Smallville is its subtle, yet undeniable, injection of "world" themes. How Clark Kent should not just be focusing on his personal friends/family. How his focus is growing. Aqua, and maybe more importantly, Exposed have touched on this theme. This is the one thing this series has lacked that I've always wanted something done about...I think it's now starting to pave the way.

In what way were the special effects like a video game? The view of the earth, Superman flying, all that looked very good. I looked at it in HDTV up close as well as in the movie theatre (as well as watching the highest-res trailer you can download) and honestly I think the people who say the graphics looks like a video game probably watched it on low-res TV and weren't paying attention.
No offense or anything, but if you look at it in high definition you can clearly see how highly detailed the graphics are. :)

I thought that while he did look okay in the Superman suit (I personally hate the dark colours of it), he did look more like a Clark Kent to me.
I still think that the movie will be amazing and I'm gonna go see it rain nor shine.
Christopher Reeve passed the torch to Tom Welling (Smallville's Clark) and for that reason among many I'd hoped they'd wait to make a Superman movie.
Seeing Brandon Routh in that Superman suit kinda of made me smile sadly too. It reminded me of Christopher Reeve and how much I miss him. He's no longer the last on screen Superman.
Brandon Routh, I have one thing to say to you: "Please do us proud"

I completely agree and I got complete chills and I automatically wanted to see more!
Jor-El "They can be a great people, Kal-El. They wished to be."
Cut to a scene of Superman rising above dark clouds into the golden sunlight.
Jor-El "They are only lack the light to show them the way."
Cut to a scene of Brandon's eyes closed
Jor-El "It is this, above all else, that I have sent them you, my son."
Camera: Brandon opens his eyes, we see a quick shot of Brandon in the Superman suit and then Superman does a quick dive from space and flies to Earth, entering Earth's atmosphere.
Brillant!
Though I'm confused why they showed this trailer. There is another one I saw months ago with Brandon Routh and Kate Bosworth in it, that was longer than this one, but I can't remember what was on it now and I've scoured everywhere and I can't find it now!
Maybe it was a spill...

I like that and many times I have replaced it exaqctly as you have placed it. This is the definition I could find:
1. TPTB:
The Powers That Be
It's in the hands of TPTB.
2. TPTB
Shorthand for "The Powers That Be". Believed to have started in Jossverse, the term refers to the directors, producers, writers, actors, etc. of a certain TV show. Mostly used in shows like Stargate, Star Trek, BtVS, Smallville and the like.
"I was really upset when TPTB killed off my favorite character".

the trailer on the big screen at Harry Potter was awesome. It was so much better, (yes same trailer), on the large screen as opposed to the small screen. The CGI was much more believable and when he entered the atmosphere with the bang and your seat shakes, it is the best experience in nearly two decades. I think this movie will amaze us all. Or at least the ones willing to give it a chance.

DMA, you haven't made me eat anything. Brando thought the film was trash. Artists don't change their aesthetic opinions because of money. Money didn't have anything to do with his opinion before or after the film was released.
The interview I saw of Brando after his movie with Edward Norton (It was a long time ago) and he said he thought that he was pleased to have been a part of the Superman Movie Saga. He showed greatr respect for what the movies had become and honestly felt that he would not mind doing another. If what you say is true, then he must have been the exception to the rule. To be fair though, if you can show me an article to the point that he still admonishes himself of it, in the 1990's or better, after 2K then I will give you the torch on this one. YOu would deserve it. Has to be a reputable site, www.Ihatesupes.com.
Better idea, fa8362. we can go back and forth on this, but in reality we are speaking for a dead man. And even if Brando, the artist, hated this movie, it is loved by millions and been watched billions of times since the 70's. The reality? This movie series started in the 70's, not after 2K. Of course the movie lacks the great computer aged imagery we can attain today. But it is not why most of us love it. We love it because it stood for all of us. It stood for all those that did not always catch a break. Those who might not have been the biggest, or the coolest, or even those who were ridiculed. They have a voice. Superman never cared who you were, what you hated, even if you wanted to kill him, he loved you and helped you no matter what. He was the true definition of truth, justice, honor, sacrifice and this was the most recent time that the icon that is the Superman empire was brought to a screen that could tell us the story, rather than read it. The 1940's and on had George Reeves, we had Christopher Reeve, and now we have Brandon Routh. This movie brings back the hero that can still be called a role model. He is my role model. My son is 8 and I fear that today in the world of high priced millionaire babies he will not emulate Terrell Owens or others that have true talent and no idea of the youth they are destroying. Superman will always be my hero, and he will always stand for everything I hope my children and their children to be. Honest, caring, truthful, and a leader in the face of pain and anguish.
With that, you have the right to your opinions. I have no idea why you choose to pound in how muchyou hate this movie, but it is your right. That right given to you by those who chose to demand the little guy or the guy with the not so popular opinion be heard, no matter what the fight. I embrace your opinion and I embrace your ability to give it. I just ask that you understand when I try to defend mine. In the spirit of truth, justice and the American Way.
This trailer was incredible, and this movie to me is already awesome.
As for the extended trailers. They were so good and I am only that much more excited to see it

And what u said I agree with because i know that nothing we can say or do is gonna change their opinion. I can only hope that once they watch the movie.. that would have changed their mind. I was thinking about the usual suspects, X-men and X2, all great movies... and i honestly think Singer is a great director who is a huge comic book fan, he will do Superman justice.
