Clark and Chloe proved once again how well they fit together as a team, what great chemistry they have in all situations and how much Clark relies on her alone when the chips are down. Chloe stepped up and took the Kawatche transporter to the FOS knowing she almost died the last time but doing it to help Clark regardless. In fact, she put herself on the line several times to help Clark and deserves some respect for it.

Sitting in front of the fire so comfy cozy with Clark and Shelby was a sweet scene. They are obviously so comfortable with each other that the scene seemed very real. I completely believe Clark and Chloe are best friends and never see Clark and Lana so comfy with each other even when they're supposed to be about to have sex. When something important happens, it's Chloe Clark has always turned to, even before she knew his secret.

Chloe and Clark go together. Clark and Lois (even though they do end up together in the future) are like bro and sis. Remind me why they made a character (Chloe) that we all like so much just so she could be thrown away!!?? Clark and Lana are like so way over (or they should be) because they can't tell each other anything. There is always an awkward tension when they are in a room together. Chloe and Clark are so perfect for each other. She tells him what she thinks about him, even when she knows he might not like it, and he listens and accepts it. They have fought in the past, but they never let anything come between them. Chloe really cares about Clark on a lot of levels. It is beyond the way she feels about him. I still believe that one day Clark will fall hard in Love with our present Smallville version of Lois Lane (that's Chloe), but he will never be able to fufill it.....something will happen. Then later in his Metropolis Life......he'll begin to see a lot of his beloved Chloe in our future Lois (that's Chloe's Cousin Lois now).......and that's why he begins to fall for future Lois. Not a stretch by any means since not only are they related.....but they are so much alike.

I'm sorry that they closed the fireside chat thread. There was a really good discussion going on until it turned into a shipper war. Anyway, the fireside chat was wonderful. It was a really heartwarming scene. The Chlark relationship adds a lot of heart to the show. They bring out the best in each other.

It is strange, even when viewing a show geared to a very young audience, to understand how Clark could miss on what a superior girl Chloe really is and that she is the one. As I hope that she is the 'real' Lois, later is good enough, but it does seem dumb for Clark to pay any real attention to the L girls when Chloe is right there beside him.

AlMiles know that the Chlark pairing is very popular. Why do you think they've kept that relationship dangling for 5 years?

At the end of season 1, Chloe/Chlark tested better with audiences than Lana/Clana. To which, the WB didn't like because Lana was supposed to be the "lead" and the favorite as was Clana. So that's the reason they ended Chlark at the start of season 2, and tried to make Chloe look bad, in order to make Lana look better. Except it didn't work.

This season, the tagline for it is "Everything you've waited to see will happen" and I personally think it's only a matter of time before they put Chloe and Clark together. They might wait and do it towards the end of the season, so it can carry into season 6.

But you gotta remember that just because they seem "comfortable" with each other and can confide in each other doesn't necessarily mean that they will click on a romantic/sexual level.

I for one would be happy to see Chlark stay as a true friendship: having someone you can always count on for help is a truly precious gift. Though I wouldn't mind seeing it turn romantic either, but I have the feeling that might ruin the ease between them that makes them such a great team.

Besides, in the Smallville universe at least, I think love for a Kryptonian is like a bolt of lightning: it either hits and leaves you electrified, or it doesn't.

Chloe didn't know until recently that Clark was Kryptonian, but that lightening bolt hit her years ago, 4+ years ago going back to when they were Freshman. Chloe has loved Clark for a long time, but she'll take friendship if that is all he has to offer. However taking the friendship doesn't mean that her love and desire is any less strong. All it would take is a little indication from Clark that he was interested.

Yeah, but Red K has shown us that Clark does find Chloe sexually attractive. Also, in Crush, Obscura, and Tempest (where he almost kissed her at the dance) shows that there is the potential for more. It's just that Clark's wanted and known Lana a lot longer. And feelings like that deepen over time.....add to that the fact that Lana definitely has had a head start with regards to this. But things do and can change..........Lois and Clark will be the prime example of this, but what happens in between is fair game.........and no matter who anyone ships with, no one can say for sure what will happen. But yeah, I'd like to see them give it a try to. Chloe is definitely the Coolest girl by a Fireplace.

Have to disagree.......Chloe is more Lois Lane than Lois Lane (and I'm talking about Lois of the Metropolis future....not the Smallville present). It makes perfect sense. But something does have to happen to split them up at some point. I just hope that the reason is more special and noble than what's happening between Clark & Lana right now.

I've had this same exact thought. Like No-el noticed....."everything will happen" ( or something like that). It will most likely happen, but I'm not really certain when and how quickly (or slowly) it will unfold. I just hope it doesn't end quickly. But I am also prepared for the slight possibility that it might never happen...........however, I do believe that it's too good a thing for the writters to eventually pass up.

You know TPTB are always dangling that carrot in front of us Chlarkers. They keep us wishing/wanting/waiting on purpose. Every season we get some sort of Chlark kiss whether it is Red K or pompom K gatoraid induced. We get our Chlark fix with a uncomfortable momemt in an elevator (Bound) or a reporter thinking quick on her feet (Magnetic).
