In Splinter he "imagined" he heard Lex and Lana talking about a space ship; now he finds out Lex really had a spaceship. I know he's just a BDA, but hopefully Chloe will fill in the blanks for him if he's too dumb to put the pieces together.

Lana told Clark (in Arrival?) she saw a ship, and Clark went to the field and saw the crater. That plus the Kryptonian couple should be enough to convince Clark that the ship must be real.

Yes, but how come during Splinter, he imagined Lex and Lana talking about a spaceship? It told me that Clark didn't really believe Lana, and thought she was just hallucinating.

It's one of those rare occurrences that the other half knows his half is keeping a secret. It's actually kinda fun to see how it all plays out.

well he was so confused that he thought he imagined them talking about a space ship, when in reality they really were. when lana didn't confirm it, he figures his perfect dream girlfriend isn't lying to him...just like he never wonders "hey why did she close that laptop so fast when i walked over?"

Interesting point. Clark knows there were aliens since he confronted them (and didn't they mention Zod to him before the fight?) and now knows Brainiac was made by Zod so I think it's safe to assume he knows there was a ship after all. He knows the ship was supposed to be in the LuthorCorp facility and that Chloe saw Zod form from the black oil there.

He knows Lex is obsessed by things extraterrestrial, as was Lionel. He knows Lana claimed to have seen the ship. But, while he believes Lana saw it and saw where the crater was that was formed by the ship in the location she indicated, I'm not sure he realizes he did hear Lana and Lex speaking about the ship. His delusions were pretty fullblown by that time and he was imagining a lot so he may not know. After all, he heard them talking and then thought they'd kissed. Where was the line between reality and fantasy/nightmare there? Unless, Lana and Lex really did kiss...

I think Clark knew about the ship, he just didn't know that Lex had it in his possession.
