So amazingly lame. That shot of him over the Earth looked so terrible. Very disappointed.

It was OK. Can't really judge a 30 second trailer.

The trailer attached to HP is probably the same one....just a teaser trailer.

Ya it looked like Superman was animated. WTF?

I hate to agree that is was lame, but it was. The curl in his hair is a little too exaggerated. I really want to enjoy the movie, but I will be thinking the entire time Tom Welling should be in it. They were just in too much of a hurry to make a new Supes movie rather then waiting for Smallville to end. But having a bad movie is a bad movie regardless of who is in it. I just really hope it doesn't suck. All that I have seen so far is not too positive.

Well Kevin Spacey looks promising.
Brandon Routh does make a good looking Superman. We'll just have to wait and see his acting skills.
Still, Tom Welling IS Clark Kent....

They pulled off Superman flying in space better in 1978. That was one of the lamest things I've ever seen. Even the MAILBOX looked animated. WTF?!

I like how lexmas looks, clark giving gifts, think about it he is perfect for santa with his super speed he can give gifts to kids all over the world in under a hour of his time and he can pack the sled of gifts on his back.

I hate to agree with all the hate, but man...Alright, I'm going to reserve judgement until I see a trailer closer to release. They could still go through a lot of changes between now and then. Currently, I'm just dissapointed in the obviously CGI flying shots. Oh, and the trailer was 90% voice-overs of Jor-El from the original Supes movie. *sighs* I'm still hoping for something better.

Yea, I felt it didn't give a lot of information or good scenes.
Hell, the fan made trailer a while back was just as good :)
Oh, and why is it I never see the trailers after the show? I saw a small clip of Lex and a christmas jingle in the background, and than that was it.

It was too fast, all I saw was Lex sitting at the table, looking very sad. Then I saw "Smallville" and under it, "Lexmas" that's it. :\

Obviously it'll still be a teaser, but it'll probably have a little bit more. In my experience, the special preview TV trailers lack a scene at the beginning of the teaser. Of course, my experience of watching both the TV and movie trailer is limited to Star Wars and Narnia, but that does seem to be the case.
As for what they showed of the teaser, I personally loved it. Sure, the effects weren't perfect, but after a month of watching 80s sci fi for school, I've come to the conclusion that we're spoiled anyways. ;) What did me in was the music. God. John Williams is a genius.

If the movie sucks, its sucks, it's still going to get $100 million in the box office because it's SUPERMAN.

I agree with you...however, the trailer did serve its purpose. As uninformative as it was, I now want to see the movie because I want to see what happens when young Clark falls to the ground in the barn. (I know he won't break his neck...but I want to see that part, nonetheless.)

I think closer to the release the overall picture will be awesome. I was dissappointed that the trailer I have seen for a good two months or more is almost identical to the one listed tonight, short a few scenes. I thought it was a fan trailer, not actually made by DC which meant that tonights teaser would be different, but it was not. I wonder if the HP one is better. I am going to see HP tomorrow so I will tell you.....

What was with Superman's makeup, the shoe polish in his hair, and the cheesy special effects? This movie is going to s*ck big time. These people won't be satisfied until they've completely destroyed the Superman franchise.

Considering the fact the movie is still in production. The CGI team is just starting that was damn good teaser trailer. I love every moment of it. From the John Williams music to young CK jumping in the corn field to the Daily Planet shot to Superman hovering over the Earth.
Loved it. I can't get enought of it.
Plus you guys know how long CGI takes right? As an example Narnia's new movie out in December barely finished their CGI post-production work roughly a week and half ago when the movie is out in about three weeks. Let's be realistic here lol.

The superman looks like a young christopher reeve only hotter. Still I prefer my man Tom.
At least have him play the young Clark we know!

I loved the shot of young CK in the barn and in the SR's SV. I can't wait to see a young CK that is once again accurately portrayed on screen. Sorry, I don't enjoy SV's version that much anymore.

Yes this guy playing Clark looks more supermanly. I wonder who's going to play Lana Lang and Lois Lane and who's going to give up their hair to play Lex in this movie.
Do you think Smallville will still be around when this movie is released summer 2006? There will be for sure a lot of comparison and of course Smallville T.V. series can't compete with a MOVIE. I still can't wait :)

Lois is played by Kate Bostworth, and Kevin Spacey is Lex.
Depends on the WB, but you can be sure the season finale this year will have the full trailer of the movie.

I hate to say it but if u were keeping up on the Journals on bluetights.net all the clipls that they put together were on those journals at one time, so i was like, dam ive seen these b4. Kinda sucked for me cause was no new video footage. Also looks like the same trailer that Brian showed at the comic awards that they let is all see. Idk but yea it was lame

The one thing that really stuck out for me in the new trailer was the opening shot of Clark defying gravity at such an early age. Flight has always been the last power that Clark learns before he becomes Supes. Now stopping himself before hitting the ground was not flight, but it was a definate precursor, and flight has never even been hinted at, that early on. So I thought that was pretty cool. I also loved the other scene of jumping in the fields. The Brando voiceover was great too. Overall, I have to say that I really liked the trailer. I still think that BR and KB were the wrong choices for Lois and Clark, and I hate the new suit design. But the trailer did get me excited for the film.
