What will they think of next? Now Lana is being made a fool of by Chloe in addition to Clark and Lex ? (Chloe lying for Clark in the end) Just when I thought her character couldn't deteriorate any further we have her hiding her obsession (oooh, it's like liquid, shutting her laptop) with the spaceship from Clark even tho he told her he believes in life on other planets; flip flopping almost as much as Clark on Lex (she had to go to Smallville to thank Lex personally for the meteor rock)
So they altered the Clana formula to have Lana lying now. too. Brilliant. The one thing that was always a positive to her character in previous seasons was her wiillingness to come clean with Clark because she believed in being honest, in taking the high road...I'm finding scenes with Lana unwatchable and I have been rooting for her character to evolve --against all odds, I suppose.

well i agree, currently there should have been no reason why lana would hide that little astronomy project from clark, whatever it really was.

but as for chloe covering for clark..seriously that is normal. pete did it, alicia did it, ma and pa kent do it. chloe did it and kept it a secret even from lois.

so covering for clark..meh, i dont think that is necessarily making a fool of lana. it is just keeping the secret from the people who dont need to know it.

I don't see it as a problem because to me now its like she has a secret that she's hiding from Clark and he has a secret he's hiding from her.

It makes her look stronger because she isn't the only one in the dark now.

Maybe later in the future if Clark tells her his secret it might make it easier to accept because she has a secret too.

I think the reason behind Lana hiding everything about the spaceship from Clark has to do with the fact that Lana has always had issues with Clark keeping secrets from her. As petty as that sounds I think Lana now sees this as an opportunity to be closer to someone (lex) that SHE BELIEVES hasn't kept anything from her. Lex did come clean but Clark still seems to always hide things from her - or so it would seem from her P.O.V. So if Clark wants to keep having secrets then why not her?

i thin lana's primary reason for hiding the spaceship was because she thinks that Clark won't believe her.
