This is the only episode out of all 5 seasons that just sucked. The only good parts was with lex and the profesor. The whole vampire thing didnt fit into anything and seemed to be just a lame way to make a halloween episode. And it was ver sex in the city-ish. Did anyone else relize that it was chloe from the future telling the story??

It was so bad I changed the channel, something I hadn't done before.

Really? You must not have seen Krypto, Recruit, and Lucy from last year.

SteveS, I agree with you. Those season 4 episodes are so much worse than thirst was.

Those episodes were bad, but not as bad as this one, this one takes the cake.

Really? I liked Krypto and Recruit, the latter of which happened to be one of the first two episodes I watched (along with Xray on ABC Family)--it spawned my SV obsession.
Lucy was abysmal, however--I've decided it's second to last on my personal "CRAP LIST" (2nd only to Ageless; Magnetic comes close to Lucy).
I didn't think this episode was bad at all--then again, I had very low expectations considering the theme. There were enough good scenes (mostly from Fine/Lex, Chloe/Kahn, Clark/Chloe) in this episode to overcome the parts involving the annoying sorority girls and vampire bat and kryptonite-induced vampirism. I was expecting the episode to be mostly that stuff, so I was pleasantly surprised to see so much involving Lex, Milton Fine, and Chloe (and Clark, but thankfully he's always a given--they never cut down his screentime for guest stars like they did to Lex and Chloe all last season).

I didn't think that "thirst" was all that bad. Sure the vampire thing was a little lame, but its still far better than "Hunger" from s1. That was bad. I also think supervamp lana with heat vision was pretty cool.

I liked the episode. As far as the vampire thing, sometimes we need to remember this is based on a comic book and just take it in.

Hey, I liked all three of those episodes from S4! Especially Recruit, with Clark saving Lois. It was a more Superman aspect.

It just didn't fit with the series. I had high hopes for this episode but it jumped around a lot and there was no real solid storyline.
And what about Lana? I thought she was going to stay in Smallville. They just drop a bombshell that she's going to Met U like its nothing. Its a huge hit on Clark and Lana's relationship.
Brainiac is making Lex look foolish. I think Clark is going to have his hands full later on.
Season 4 was very good IMO. Only episode I didn't like was Lucy.

I agree with that. I wasn't a fan of Lucy as well..
And unlike a lot of other folks I actually LOVED, yes LOVED, "Ageless". Well, all of the scenes before Evan became a teenager, lol..

Ok ok I have to say this was not at all bad. I liked that Chole was telling the story and that whole part of the plot. I thought it was nice to change things. All those from last season were bad but I don't remember mentioning Ageless, my most hated episode.
Um.. nevermind, I just saw the post right above mine. lol SO I would have to disagree with you AnimeJoe

Yea I liked Chloe narrating. Its something they havnt done before. Also, the whole vampire thing really didnt bother me. No one had a problem with witches last season and that was an entire arc. This was one episode and it was obviously Halloween based, which made it more fun. This wasnt my favorite episode of the season, but Ive liked them all so far.

Actually, I think most people thought the witch arc last season was bad. To me the vampire aspect of this episode was terrible. Luckily a couple of scenes helped the show out in general, but goodness... vampires??
