Ummmm was that supposed to be a College Classroom, it looked more like the room at the United Nations where all the foriegn Country's Presidents sit around.
Can't they make it more like a "college classroom" and less like a "war room"

I always had trouble staying awake in class, with a room like that and a room lighted like that, ZZzzzzzzzzzzz
what was the name of the college again and is it supposed to be in Smallville. I thought clark was going to Community College or something?

The lighting was probably to give the room a more ominous tone. In fact I'd have to look at the shading, but it probably had more to do with the camera's light intake. Either way, it was done to set a tone.

I've actually seen classrooms like that, but they weren't at colleges like "Central Kansas A&M".
Looks like Kansas got some extra college funding in the recent "Highway Bill".

Yeah, that room was creapy and it seemed brand new for a small state college.

Brainiac can have whatever room he pleases. Suspend belief for a second. You can do so for Superpowers, but not for an out of place room? It's a room, get over it.

Agreed. TV shows always seem to make college classrooms look like that. From my experience, major universities have very few lecture halls set up like that. I would suspect a college similar to the one Clark goes to would have no such rooms.

I liked the set-up of the room. Reminds me slightly of the business school on my own campus.

They are called 'lecture halls' and even the community colleges that i've gone to have them. i was refering to the lighting effects, not the actual room

Not all of them. They usually go for the lecture hall settings. For an example, UC Sunnydale on BtVS was based off the architecture of UCLA.
To be honest this is the first time I ever saw a college set like that on tv. The lighting was too dark IMO. Students are bound to doze off.
I was wondering if the lights were working in there.

If Fine ever played a documentary on history the darkness of the room setting would make me fall asleep. This is coming from a girl who got a BA on the subject :rotfl:.

Hopefully we won't have too many more clips of that room. I definitely thought the atmosphere was severely lacking in those scenes. Very weak..
