Yeah the Lex as supervillain bit was layered on rather thick.

Oh yes and of course Clark runs in right after Lex leaves!

Well it's good that Clark ran in and rescued before Lex got back.

No need for exposition concerning AC's powers/origin.

Which we never heard, the "my mother was a mermaid" bit might've been stretching it.
