But I liked Clark "biting the bullet"... Being shot then missing for the hospital. Those would be my favorite scenes.

I liked when Clark was dying, and Lionel was coming back to life (with Jor-El inhabiting his body, assumingly). That was great symbolism, one door closing, and then reopening. Plus, it was great to see Mr. Glover back in action! Also, the scene with Lex and Lana talking about the file was fantastic! Lex is really turning to the dark side, and Clark's resurrection gives him new reason to be curious about Clark.

Lionel's return was so surreal, so strange, and the way Mr. Glover was acting was great. It felt so natural, so real. One can only wonder if it was Lionel or if it was still Jor-El in his body. He gave some pretty Lionel-like expressions, so I'm still unsure.

And, of course, the scene with Lana in bed was hot. Kristen is AL-RIGHT! GIGGITY GIGGITY GIGGITY. :)

Oh, and the Fortress scene with Lionel/Jor El rocked. Great performance, Mr. Glover!

i thought the jor el/lionel and clark scenes was cool. it was also cool seeeing clark getting killed cause you never get to see a chance of him actually dead when he is superman just more of near death.

I think you should have said "two scenes you liked best", it is so hard because the entire episode flowed very smoothly from beginning to end---scene to scene--should have been on the big screen with such great action and acting from all actor/veteran actors!

But, for me it was a toss-up:

The morning scene at the kent house and the expression on ALL their faces---Clark. Lana, Johnathan, Martha and Chloe!
But, man Johnathan (Pa) Kent had one "bull angry" look on his face!!!!!!!!!!

The 'entire' Clark and the nuclear missile scene! That blew my mind!! I thinking what some NASA Shuttle astronauts saw him do a feat like that---they dear god, its not humanly possible!!!!!!!!!!!


Like I said Welling and cast should have been on the big screen!!

The scene where Clark died in the hospital while Lionel woke up simultaneously was great. It just sent chills down my spine. The score they used in the background was very fitting as well.

The scene where he caught the nuke and went into space was amazing as well.

One can only wonder if it was Lionel or if it was still Jor-El in his body. He gave some pretty Lionel-like expressions, so I'm still unsure.

Uh? Last time I checked, Lionel couldn't punch through thick glass, run at super speeds, or talk exactly like Jor-El.

The most memorable moment for me is when Clark walks in the house with all of his clothes torn. It is so great to see Clark save smallville from a nuclear missle. To see him walk in with clothes all torched up, that was the best for me.

Other, the scene we should've seen. The actual resurrection of Clark: wounds healing, beams of light, Jor-EL activating the FOS machinery and whatever else that goes with a reviving of a Kryptonian body.

1st : Chlark in the Barn at the end (Both Tom & Allison were amazing....not just the chemistry....but the acting was phenominal !!!!!!)

2nd: Clark Being Shot in front of Chloe

3rd: The Super Jump

4th: Clark & Lana being caught (except that Clarks kind of a jerk with respect to his father)

Did anyone notice that John Glover as Jo-rel sounded exactly like Micahel Rene (I think that's the name) in "THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL"? When he's leaving earth, he's standing next to Gort (the robot) on his spaceship and gives a speech to the people of earth.....and it sounded exactly like John Glover's delivery of his speech to Clark. I swear.....when I close my eyes it's like I'm watching the "THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL".

Voted for the scene with Clark & Jor-El/Lionel in FOS. I lost count on how many time I've watched the Yahoo Preview. :D

Second is when Gabriel (sp?) shoots Clark in front of Chloe....I was expecting some drama, explanation/delay BUT no it was quick and straight up which made it GREAT...!!!

of course when Clark/Kal-El returns and FLEW :D to stop the Nuclear Bomb

That soundtrack/scene when CLANA reunites was also great...!!!

i'm not trying to sound cold, but mine was definately Clark getting shot don't get me wrong i love the guy to death (no pun intended), which is what made it so...epic (for lack of better word). See, i was watching this in my friend's living room which is adjacent to her kitchen where her mom was cooking dinner, her dad was on the couch, and her brother was just passing through when this happened. They've all seen a pretty good bit of the series, though have never been devoted, and yet....when Clark was shot the room went completely silent, and everyone just froze for the few seconds that it showed Clark fall to his knees, b/c we all knew how monumental that moment was. it was kinda surreal since the scene itself was in slowed too.

This episode had many standout scenes, but I think the parallel Clark-is-dying/Jor-El-is-awakening scenes were just tremendously done. I stood up when I saw that sequence, and I actually felt like clapping.

I didn't really like any of those scenes. I liked it when Clark jumped on the bomb, when he dies and Lana is crying (wait was she really crying or not, I don't remember, but it was still funny), when the nurse says that there is a problem because Clark is missing. HAHA!

This episode was awesome!! And there are to many episodes to choose from. The music that hit with the Clana reunion was dead-on, very good. But the one that takes the cake, was when clark was dying on the hospital bed, and jor-el was awakened in Lionel. With the music in the background...my god it really moved me. I literally got up out of my chair, and starting screaming at the television "Clark get up!!, Live Clark Live!!!!!!" In fact, I'm gonna go get my tape and watch it again, jeez i love it!!!

This episode had so many great scenes, but my favorite is definitely the moment where Clark dies and Jor-El is activated. The scene totally reminded me of the powerful ending montage in Covenant.

There were so many great moments. I voted for the Clana reunion, but I liked the hospital (Clark-dying)scene, it was so intense, and I really liked the FOS scene as well...the list goes on and on...

This was a really great episode!

Geez, I would have a hard time picking just one scene!

I loved the "morning after" scene when Martha and Jonathan are rather uptight, Clark is embarrassed and then Chloe walks in to make things even more uncomfortable. The looks on everyone's faces were just perfect!!

Someone else posted that they must be sick because they liked the scene were Clark is shot...guess that makes two of us being sick, then. I thought Tom Welling's expression was great...kind of an "Oh, crap. I didn't realize being mortal was gonna feel like this!" look. Almost a look of a little confusion...like he's been "super" for so long he'd forgotten he could now get hurt.

I also thought the "death" scene where Clark's life ends and Jor-El reawakens in Lionel was soooooooo powerful. The music in the background was a perfect choice...gave the scene a dramatic boost. I'm not necessarily a HUGE Lana fan but I thought Lana's reactions during and immediately after his "death" were excellent. I wasn't as impressed with the acting when she was crying in the hallway and Martha and Jonathan saw her. Seemed like Kristin was kinda forcing it. It just didn't come off as feeling genuine to me.

The scene in the kitchen when Clark returns....oh, boy!! Take a look at the expression on Tom Welling's face when he hugs Jonathan....he's petrified Jonathan's life is going to be the one that's sacrificed for his...and the guilt is eating him up!

The Clana scene in the hallway was really good, too. The way they just embraced...didn't say a word...just held each other close and rejoiced.

In the poll, I voted for the Chlark scene in the loft...also very powerful. Tom Welling is such a great actor!! The pain and guilt in his eyes...you can tell he's overwhelmed by it. And Chloe's lines about his wound sum that up so subtly...(these may not be exact but it gets the point across) "So are you healing, or..." - Clark lifts his shirt and removes the bandage for Chloe to see there's no wound. Chloe gently touches the area and says (I love this), "Completely unscathed...on the surface." She KNOWS he's NOT unscathed emotionally!!!!

I've always felt the quality of acting in this series was quite good, but I really think the actors have just absolutely ramped it up this year! If they can keep the acting and storylines going like this all season...WOW!!

Tough choices...I'll go with the Clark/Lionel-Jor-El scene in the FoS. The scenes with Clark getting shot and disarming the missle were amazing also.

Yeah, I noticed that too. Although, I say it was 60% Micahel Rene, 40% Marlon Brando; considering the gestures (hands on the lapels like Superman's Brando) and voice inflections.

I mean, I had to stop and rewind just to watch it again before the show was even over. They love each other so much but they both know it could never work no matter how hard they try. I love Lois because, well, she is Lois Lane...but I feel sorry for Clark and Lana and what they would like to have!! :D

Tom Welling really was above is usual play in this episode. Some episodes, he played like in "the days of our lives" or some other crummy soap. But that episode was something. Actually, this episode could have been material for a season finale.
