This is so horrible. Jorel has told Clark he will face his darkest moment when the life of someone he loves will be exchanged for his powers being returned to him. The storys beginning was so cute and funny. Clarks expressions were cute and funny, but his expression at the end was so so heartbreaking. According to Jorel this loss will ultimatley make him stronger, but until then how much pain will we he be made to endure. Of course the boy must become man, but please writers show Clark some mercy.

I, personally, love the direction this is going. I think that the produceres realized that S4 wasn;t the strongest and knew they had to step it up to retain viewers, and they certainly have.

I think that scene in the loft really shows how much Tom Welling has grown as an actor. I didn't know he could go to that level, but I'm pleaently surprised.

As far as the darkened tone, as long as the death is done in a way that makes him want to me Superman as upposed to spiting Jor-El and going against his destiny again (and if the writers make us believe all this) I think it could work.
