What precisely was Clark's regret?
That he slept with Lana or that he gave up his powers? Both or neither? What regret is clark talking about, great episode btw.

He regrets giving up his powers because someone has to die now

I don't think he regrets sleeping with Lana and for what it is worth i think he should tell her all about himself. I think she'll accept him!

Yeah, dark is right, I think he will never regret sleeping with Lana. He regrets ever disobeying his father and now has to live with it. The fact that someone close to him is going to be "exchanged" for Clark being reborn is what he regrets.

My real question, immediately after he said "Chloe .. I think I made a mistake." was... was the mistake saving her life in the FOS? Or was it staying with Lana after defeating the evil Kryptonians-not returning to Jor-El, thus giving up his invulnerability and powers??
Or was he FINALLY realizing that his wanting/liking being normal was a mistake and that he now knows that all he'll ever do is be a super-powered Kryptonian and save lives & will never really be able to love and be with Lana now???
OH. And also that little fact that someone he loves has gotta bite it "in exchange for the life force returned to him".

I think that being mortal, having a romance with lana and then sleeping with her is not worth giving up his powers for especially knowing what the consequences are.

His regret is certainly losing his powers and now, upon regaining them (without choice), he will lose someone that he loves.
But I still scream that how can he say he loves Lana and not tell her truly about himself. And with the Lexana conversation you can't say she won't remotely think about the possibility that the Ressurected One might be alien after all. His regret should be lying to Lana all this time....(that and not recognizing Chloe for the one true woman of his life.....ho hum).

His regret is disobeying his father. It all starts from there. He loses his powers from there, he has a relationship with Lana, etc.
I really doubt that Clark regrets anything that his associated with Lana, he justs regrets that because he chose to disobey his father, someone he loves his going to die...

I agree that I think his regret is that he didn't listen to Jor-El and now has to face the consequences for his choice.
I also don't understand why he can't be honest with Lana.
Didn't he mention something to her about "no more secrets, no more lies"? Why can't he tell her??

I hope from now on he's learned to listen to his father and embrace his destiny. He sure made it seem that way.
