He was watching the video of Clark and Chloe trying to get passed that beam or whatever,, did he say "This is not possible" I would like to know what exactly he said WORD for WORD if anyone can help because to me it seemed like he was totally expecting CLark to by pass that without getting hurt then when CLark let him punch him and he started bleeding, just before Clark said "satisfied" Lex had a look of amazement, so can we assume Lex knows more than he potrays,,,

And yes, he WAS expecting Clark to pass through the lasers unharmed! The whole thing was a set-up...he wanted to see if his hunch about Clark was correct. That also explains why he was so shocked when Clark bled after Lex punched him... Poor Lexy! He's been right about Clark all along, but the one time when he decides to act on it, Clark is "mortal"! Isn't that how it always happens on Smallville? :rolleyes:

Just last season he saw Jason beat up clark when he was weakened by the kryptonite gatorade. I guess his obsession needed more proof

He doesn't need a hunch. Hes seen a lot of Amazing Clark saves, and the CRAZIES at Bell REVE all blabbed, like the electro - dude said. Not Only that , but in the "Jinx" episode he told Mikail "Anything lost can be found again". It gives the impression hes talkng about his lost memeories. Lex most likely knows Clarks super powerful, but he wants to CONFIRM hes an alien, and find out which planet hes from, etc.

(Lex get's punched out, and groans in pain, looks up at Clark)
Lex: What are you doing?
Clark: What I should have done a long time ago.
(Clark picks the bloody nosed Lex up, Lex groans)
Clark: Chloe traced the video feed from level 3. You were watching us the whole time.
Lex: I don't know what you are talking about.
(Clark through Lex to the ground)
Clark: She also pulled the security records from Bell Revie. You were there the day those psychos escaped, and you helped them some how didn't you? What did you promise them Lex? Enough serum to last the rest of there lives?
Lex: (Raises hand) Your being irrational.
Clark: This whole things a set up. A test! And to do it you put Lana and my family in danger.
Lex: Clark.
Clark: No.
(Clark punches Lex out)
I thought we could start over Lex. But you're to obsessed with the past, with me!
(Lex gets up)

My favorite scene this episode. You got to love the way the two confronted each other. Plus this shows us that Lex knows more about Clark then he's shows. Afterall he's got atleast 1 FOW living at 33.1. I'm sure that he's been told him a thing or two about Clark.

Truly you just got to love this Scene. It was really well written, and the acting was superb. The way it advances the Clex feud is just great. I can't wait to see more confrontation's between the 2. Afterall the things that happened it was just getting unbelievable that Lex could dismiss Clarks lies about his abilitys.
