She woke up to the sweet kisses of her fiancee. Life was good she was getting married in two months and (even though it was way to early)she was going to New Orleans with a couple of friends tommorow for her bachelorette party.

He awoke to the sound of his alarm blaring.Class already. Tommorow he was headed to New Orleans for a story he was working on for the Daily Planet. He was hoping to find someone special but for now he was perfectly content.

They both spent the whole day either packing or shopping for new clothes. Lana was planning on partying hard with her friends, even though she was getting married in to months. Tommorow they were headed to the Big Easy. Sadly Clark had to go for work. He was considering calling Lex or Pete to go with him, but he thought against it. Pete would probably be hooking up with every girl there,and Lex would probably have to leave early on business.Besides he needed a break.Between school and the daily planet he was overwhelmed.
Lana figured she'd just have fun and stay away from guys, but little did she know their paths would meet and things would get complicated really fast.

Chapter 2:

Clark and Lana were already in New Orleans. Lana was getting ready to go to a hot new club, 360 degrees. She was staying in the Hilton hotel right next to the french quarter. Her and her friends got two rooms next to each other on the 5th floor. She was squeezing into a mini skirt and tight little shirt. They were finally ready after a half an hour,and headed to the club.

Clark just arrived at the Hilton an hour ago. He was staying in a suite on the 2nd floor, courtesy of the Daily Planet. He was just about to go in the shower, when the phone rang. He picked it up and heard a nice warm voice on the phone telling him what numbers to call if he needed anything. After he hung up, he superspeeded into the shower and got ready to go to a club he'd read about on the internet,360o.

Chapter 3:
Clark and Lana had just arrived at the club. Lana and her friends sat at a table right in between the bar and the dance floor.
Clark stood by the bar and occasionally got up to go to the dance floor. When he first walked in he saw a beautiful raven haired girl sitting at a table with her friends. He kept stealing glances at her and hoped he could gain the courage to go up and talk to her. Every time he got up to go dance he made sure to pass in front of her, hoping she'd ask him to dance.
"Lana," her friend Danielle said,"that hot guy standing by the bar keeps looking at you." Lana turned around to see this guy staring at her, once he saw her looking at him he quickly turned away. All of her friends kept telling her to go talk to him. " If I go, you have to promise that we can leave when i want to,' Lana said. All of her friends agreed, so she got up and started walking toward him. Suddenly a guy walked right up to her and asked if she was here alone. She said her boyfriend wasn't around right now, and he asked if he could buy her a drink. She said no and she started to walk away from him, but he grabbed her by the arm and asked how long he would be away.
Clark saw the girl he'd been staring at get up and start walking, right towards him! Then he saw a guy step in front of her and ask her if he could buy a drink for her. She started walking away from him, but he grabbed her arm. Thats when Clark decided to step in.
He hurried up and started walking towrd them, by the time he got there he had let her go. He went and grabbed her by the waist and said,"Sorry I'm late, but I couldn't find a place to park." He decided to push his luck and kiss her, suprisingly she kissed him back! Once they broke the kiss, Clark pretended to just notice the guy staring at them."Can I help you," he asked politely. "No I was just on my way to the bar." "OK, well sorry to get in your way." To Lana he says,"Let's dance I love this song."
"You and Me," by Lifehouse was playing. He took her into his arms and started dancing and talking.
Clark: You know what's sad, I don't even know your name and we've already kissed.
At this they both laughed.
Lana: I'll tell you my name if you tell me yours.
Clark: Deal. My name's Clark Kent.
Lana: Lana Lang
Clark: Nice to meet you Lana
A few moments passed when Lana decided to break the silence.
Lana: You know that was one hell of a kiss.
Clark:Yeah maybe we should do it again.
He leaned over and they kissed again but this time more passionately.

They stayed there for about another hour.
"Clark, I'm getting tired I'm going to go."
"Wait I'll walk you back to your hotel."
"OK"
"What hotel are you staying at?"
"The Hilton in the French Quarter."
"Really thats where I'm staying to."

They walked back to the hotel, in complete silence. Once they were there Lana just remebered that her roommates were probably asleep.
"Clark, can I stay in your room tonight."
"Why?"
"My roomates are probably asleep, and I don't want to wake them up."
"Okay, I'll sleep on the couch."

Chapter3 con't:

Clark just got into his hotel room with Lana and he was getting blankets and pillows. They were just getting into bed.
Clark told Lana good night and gave her a quick kiss, but then it started to become more and more passionate. First Lana pushed Clark onto the bed and started to unbutton his shirt. He quickly started to take off her shirt and then her bra. Even though Clark thought they were moving to fast, he knew he loved her and wanted to be with her. Plus it looked like she wanted this to. Soon they were under the covers holding each other dearly.

Chapter 4:

Lana woke up the next morning with a massive headache. She looked around to find that this wasn't her hotel room. She turned to find Clark sleeping beside her smiling like he just won the super bowl. She went over last night's events in her head. She quickly jumped out of bed threw her clothes on and nearly ran to her room. Thankfully everyone was up and she said," Come on we're leaving now." They all protested, but reluctantly agreed. Before 9 they were all ready checked out and on a plane back to Smallville.

Clark woke up at about 8:30, Lana was no where in sight. He figured she just went back to her room before her roomates woke up. He took a quick shower, dressed and went up to where she was supposed to be staying. He knocked ten times before he realized that no one was there. He went into the lobby and asked if a Miss Lana Lang was staying in room #127. They said that they checked out about a half an hour. Clark just stood there shell-shocked that she didn't even say goodbye or leave a cell number. He started to pack up since he already finished the article. He was headed back to Metropolis when his phone started to ring.
It was Lex.
Lex: Clark, hey I was wondering if you'd like to come spend a couple of months at the mansion.
Clark: Sure Lex what for?
Lex: I'm getting married and I'd like you to be the best man.
Clark: Yeah Lex I'd be honored I'll be at the mansion in a couple of hours.
They hung up.
Lana was just arriving back in smallville at her fiancee's house.
Fiancee:Hey Honey did you have a good time?
Lana: Yeah it was great.
Fiancee: Good While you were gone I found a best man.
Lana: Who is it?
Fiancee:You'll meet him in a couple of hours.

A couple of hours later:
Clark just arrived at Lex's mansion and was looking at how many things have changed. Lex walks in and says ,"Hi Clark ! Come with me I want you to meet my bride to be.
Clark walks in the next room to find a girl turned around.
"Honey I would like you to meet my best man,"at this she turns around, "Clark Kent."

Chapter 5:
Lana couldn't believe she was staring at the face of the man she slept with last night. She figured she would never see him again. She had to wipe the suprised look off of her face so Lex wouldn't suspect her of anything.

She quickly grabbed his hand and shook it while saying,"Hi!I'm Lana Lang."

He couldn't believe she was getting married! He couldn't believe he had slept with his best friends fiancee! He couldn't believe he was still thinking about her!

He shook her hand, smiled and said," Nice to finally meet Lex's bride." He emphasized on the word bride.

Lex: Clark let me show you to your room.

They both followed Lex, Lana began to notice what hall they were in.
Lex suddenly stopped in front of a door opened it and let them in.

Clark: Wow Lex! It's amazing.

Lex: Thanks Clark. Through that door is a bathroom if you need it.

Lana just stared in awe as they went into the bathroom.

Lana: But Lex my room is just on the other side and this is my bathroom.

Lex: Well I'm sure Clark wouldn't mind sharing it.

He gave a quick smile to Clark who gave him a weak smile back.

Lex: Just be sure to lock the doors.

Later that night:
Lana and Lex are talking in the study.

Lex: So what do you think of him?

Lana: He seems quiet and shy. Are you sure he wants to be the best man and give the toasts at our rehersal dinner?

Lex: Actually, I was hoping you could help him with that.

Lana: With what?

Lex: Spend time with him, see if you can get him to come out of his shell.

Lex: And now would be the perfect time. I'm going out of town for the next two weeks on buisness.

Lana: What!?

Lex: I'll be coming and checking in every couple of days to make sure everythings okay. I'm leaving tommorow morning.

Lex left leaving Lana wandering about what might happen over the next two week. She eventually went to sleep, making sure that Clark was asleep before she snuck into her pajamas.

Chapter 6:

Clark just woke up and was looking around Lex's mansion. He was looking at everything just to get his mind off of Lana. He had just finished his breakfast and was getting into the shower. He forgot that he and Lana were sharing a bathroom, and he forgot to lock the bathroom door.

Lana just woke up and finished eating breakfast. She was going into the bathroom to brush her teeth and change. She couldn't hear the shower running, so she went in. She was just about to scream but decided against it. She just went on about her buisness hoping she could get out before he noticed.

Clark had heard the door open, and he looked outside and saw Lana doing her make-up. He quickly stopped the shower, grabbed his towel, and wrapped it around his waist. He stepped out of the shower, and started half-way yelling at her.

Clark: Why the hell are you in here? Don't you have any respect for privacy?

Lana:Well you were the one who left the door unlocked. I didn't even know you were in here until I came in.

Clark: You know there's no point in arguing so let's just call it even.

Lana: Fine.

Clark: By the way, where's Lex?

Lana: He's gone on buisness for two weeks and said we should get to know each other.

Clark: Two Weeks!?

Lana: Yeah. He said he'd come and check up on us every once in a while.

Clark: So what are we going to do in the meantime?

Lana: Lex is right. We need to get to know each other better.

Clark: Fine. I'm kind of hungry can we go eat?

Lana: Yeah we can go riding and have a picnic in the backyard.

The whole while they were riding there was an akward silence. Once they got to where they were going to have a picnic, Lana decided to break the silence.

Lana: You know we're going to have to talk about it sometime?

Clark turned his head and didn't say anything.

Lana: Listen I'm sorry I didn't tell you about Lex but I didn't think anything would happen.

Clark: You could have told me that you were engaged before we started dancing!

Lana: I know but I forgot. You made me feel like I was single again, and just having a good time.

Clark: Are we going to tell Lex?

Lana: No we can't. He'd kill me.

Clark: Well then what are we going to do?

Lana: We have to pretend like we just met. Maybe we should just start over again.

Clark: Fine. Hi, I'm Clark Kent.

Lana: Hi I'm Lana Lang

They spent the whole time talking and getting to know each other. They were starting to fall in love with each other, but they had to stay just friends.

A week later Lex came back and wanted to have dinner with them. They were going eat at a very fancy and expensive restraunt. Clark figured Lana would be all lovey-dovey with Lex so he decided to make her jealous.

Voice: Hello?

Clark: Hey can you come out to dinner with me tonight?

Voice: sure I'd love to!!

Clark: Great I'll pick you up at 8 and were something dressy.

Chapter 7:

Clark and Lana were bith getting ready for their big dinner date. Lana went through about 10 different outfits before she found the right one. "This outta make Clark jealous," she thought.

Clark was planning on wearing a tux with a pink shirt. He knew Lana's favorite color WAS pink, so he decided to wear it.
He didn't know who else to invite Chloe would take it the wrong way and he'd be leading her on. He knew that Lois would be perfect because she could flirt with him and make Lana so jealous it wasn't funny!!!!

Chapter 7 con't:

Clark would be picking Lois up and then head out to the restraunt where Lana and Lex were waiting for them. Clark was taking Lex's Porshe.
DING DONG!!!!

Lois: Hold on. Let me get my purse.
Lois comes walking out in a purple dress.

Clark:Wow! Lois you look....Wow!!

Lois: Thanks 'Smallville'.... I mean Clark.

Clark: Listen Lois I appreciate you coming on such short notice.

Lois: Well how could I say no you were practically begging me, but I couldn't miss a chance for you to take me out dinner and actually pay for it.

Clark gets an embarrassed look on his face.
Clark takes Lois out to where the Porshe is waiting for them. They get in and start driving to the restraunt.

Clark: Listen Lois there was a reason I asked you here tonight.
Clark then goes on to explain how he met Lana and everything that happened (skipping a few parts). And how he needed Lois to make Lana jealous.

Lois: Wow Clark and all this happened in a week?

Clark: Yeah I know its amazing and it all happened in a week.

Lois: All make her as jealous as you want but we both know that I'm just a friend trying to help you out.

Chapter 8:

Clark and Lois were just getting to the restaurant. They spotted Lana and Lex in a corner in the back. Clark put his arm on Lois's waist, and pulled out the chair for her.

Lex never does that for me.

Clark introduced everybody to Lois. After they all shook hands, the trouble began.

Lana: So Lois how did you and Clark meet?

Lois shots Clark a look and Clark gives her a look saying "Make it up"

Lois: Well I'd been working at the Daily Planet, and Clark showed up as an intern and I had the lucky privilege of showing him around. After we finished our work, Clark took me down to a club and after a while we just started kissing and talking. Lana got a surprised look on her face. Ever since then we've just been hanging out and talking.

Clark thought he would kill Lois right there in front of Lana and Lex. Now he probably looked like a playa' to Lana. What Lois just described was the same thing he did to Lana.

I can't believe I fell for all that stuff he was telling me. But he did say really sweet things. But how do I know he wasn't lying to me thought Lana

Lex: So how about we go to Atlantis and dance over there?

Everyone agreed.

Once they got to the club, Laffy Taffy was paying. Lana started dragging Lex to the dance floor, and Lois was dragging Clark.

Lois started grinding Clark, so Lana started grinding Lex. Lana and Clark were so jealous that they just wanted to switch partners so bad. Lois was in the bathroom and a girl started grinding Clark. Lana noticed that Clark looked very uncomfortable.

Lex: Lana why don't you go take over for that girl Clark looks really uncomfortable.

Lana didn't want to make Lex suspicious, but you don't know how bad she wanted to go over there and grind Clark.

Lana: But Lex....

Lex: I know you'll feel uncomfortable but Clark really doesn’t like that girl.

Lana: All right Lex.

Lana went over to where Clark and the girl were. She decided to do what Clark did to her the night they met.

Lana: Hey Clark! I'm back I couldn't find a place to park.

Then she gave him a quick little kiss.
Neither of them wanted that kiss to end, but sadly it had to.

Lana led Clark over to a place where Lois and Lex wouldn't find them or see them. Lana started dancing and whispering in Clark's ear.

Lana: So do you do that to all the girl's you meet.

Clark: No I never do that.

Lana: What about me and Lois?

Clark: I never did that to Lois and if I did then I forgot.

Lana: Well then Clark how did you two really meet then?

Clark: Why are you so intrested in my realationships?

Lana turned around to face him.

Lana: I just want to know how you met Clark. It's not like I'm asking if you're going to propose to her.

Clark: Lana, why did you even come get me from that girl Lois could've just came and get her or I could have told her something. Why don't you go back and dance with Lex and I'll go find Lois.

Lana: First off Clark LEX told me to go get you from that girl and save you. And you're right I shouldn't have came save you. Now if you excuse me I'm going find Lex.

Lana stormed off leaving Clark to stare at her.

I can't believe I said that to her. Why did I just let her run off? Why couldn't I just tell her how I feel?

Chapter 9:

Lana ran to Lex and quietly asked if they could leave.

Lex: Sure. Let me just tell Clark and Lois.

Lana: They know already. Clark said that he would take Lois home and catch up with us at home.

Lex: OK. Well let’s go get our coats and we’ll be on our way.

Clark couldn’t find Lana to try and apologize to her for what he said. He asked the bartender if he saw Lex Luthor leave. He said that they left about five minutes ago.
After trying to find Lana, he had to go and find Lois so he could bring her home. He found her trying to bat off some guy who kept following her.

Clark: Excuse me Lois. We really have to go now.

Lois was more than happy to oblige. So she simply followed very quickly with a big smile on her face. When they were away from the guy who was drooling over Lois, she asked where Lana and Lex were.

Clark: They left about ten minutes ago. Now I’m stuck driving you home and driving back to Smallville by myself.

Lois: Don’t act so cocky Clark. I’m the one who let YOU bring me here in the first place. Anyway, let’s go because this place is starting to fill up with weirdo’s.

While getting in the car Lois asked why Lana and Lex left.

Clark: Well I’m not completely sure, but I think they left because of me.

Then Clark went on to explain everything that happened after Lois went to the bathroom. He almost left out the part about him and Lana having the fight, but he thought that Lois might have been able to help him out. Lois looked at him in a shocked and disgusted face while he was telling the story.

Lois: Oh my gosh Clark!!!! How the hell do you get yourself into these messes?

Clark: I don’t know Lois. I was just mad at her. I don’t know why. Do you think maybe I was jealous because I thought she was just leading me on?

Lois: Clark I see the way she looks at you and the way you look at her. I think maybe you were jealous to see her with another guy.

Clark: But Lex is my best friend!!!!!!!!! He doesn’t even know about what happened in New Orleans. We didn’t want to hurt him.

Lois: I’m sorry Clark but you and Lana will end up hurting him.

Clark: How?

Lois: It’s simple. If he ends marrying Lana and you two are still in love then what will happen? You can’t hide your feelings forever you’re going to have to face it and admit it to both Lana and Lex.

Clark: But what if Lana doesn’t love me? I don’t want to get hurt and I don’t want to hurt Lex either.

Lois: Clark, Lana loves you. I could see all the looks she gave you at dinner, and not to mention all the dirty looks she was giving me. Your plan to get Lana jealous worked.

Clark: Lois I was throwing you dirty looks!!! How could you tell Lana we met like that?

Lois: I couldn’t think of anything else to say. Besides did you want me to tell her how we really met?

Clark remembered that day well.

It was a hot summer night in Metropolis. Superman was patrolling the area for any signs of danger. Suddenly he heard a woman’s scream. He flew over to where he heard the scream. He saw Lois getting mugged. He and Lois had been working at the Daily
Planet together for a couple of weeks now. He hurriedly scooped up the mugger and carried him to Metropolis State Prison. He came back for Lois and took her flying back to her apartment. Just as he was leaving Lois came up behind him and said he looked familiar. He said of course I look familiar you wrote a couple of stories about me.” No. Clark is that you?” So he had to tell Lois about his origin and how he came to Earth. She’s known for about two years now, and still been a loyal friend even when she’s been threatened.

Clark suddenly snapped out of his daydream when he heard Lois scream. He nearly missed the truck ahead and swerved off the side of the road and hit a tree trunk. He flew out of the side of the door and scraped himself on a piece of kryptonite. He hurried up and carried Lois off to the hospital. He was getting weaker by the second. He finally made it to the hospital, just in time. Once he put Lois on the stretcher, he collapsed.

Chapter 10:

Lex had just left again on a business trip. It was about 1 in the morning, Lana had finally gone to sleep when the phone rang. Damn who’s calling at 1 in the morning? This had better be important.

“Hello,” Lana asked.

“Lana,” said Lois, “ I’m sorry for waking you up so early, but Clark’s in the hospital.”

“What,” cried Lana, she was now fully awake.

“ We’re at the Smallville Medical Center. Can you come?”

“ Yeah I’ll be there in a few minutes.”

With that they hung up. Lana hurriedly threw off her pajamas and found a pair of jeans and a T-shirt. She ran out of her room and flew down the stairs, only stopping to open the car door.

She got to the hospital within five minutes. And ran to where Lois was.

Lana: What happened Lois?

Lois: Clark was driving and then he just kind of zoned out. I screamed there was a truck coming and he swerved out of the way. He didn’t see the tree trunk and crashed into that and flew out of the windshield.

Lana: Can I go see him?

Lois: He’s still unconscious. They just finished running tests on him so he’ll be out for a while, but yes you can go.

Lois pointed Lana in the direction of Clark’s room. Lana gently opened the door and saw Clark lying there unconscious. She ran over to where he was and started crying. She cried on his chest for about five minutes. Then through the sobs she kept telling herself to pull herself together. She grabbed a chair by the side of the bed and sat there trying to figure out why there weren’t any scars. She started talking hoping that Clark was awake and could hear everything she said.

“ Clark I hope you can hear me because I’m about to tell you the truth. That night that we met I thought I had fallen in love again. I thought that we would never see each other again. I didn’t mean for us to have sex but I wasn’t thinking. I was drunk. When I woke up that morning, and saw you lying there with a smile on your face I knew I had to leave you. I didn’t want to hurt you, but I had to. We could never be together as much as we both wanted to. I had to marry Lex. He basically made me marry him. He told me if I ever met another guy and started dating him that he would make his life and mine miserable. He also said that he wouldn’t stop until he made me his. And he threatened to hurt anyone close to me. I eventually grew to like him as a friend, but nothing more. When I went to New Orleans and met you I knew I couldn’t stay with you because of Lex’s threat. When you showed up in Smallville I was begging Lex to find a new best man. When you started yelling at me when you were in the shower you were right about half of the stuff. I was beginning to hate you for seeming to know me better than I know myself. Then when we went on the picnic you told me about yourself so I could understand you better. When we went on the double date last night I thought I was going to break into two when you showed up with Lois. After we went to dinner and we went to the club and Lois was grinding you I wanted to go over there and punch her. When that girl came up to you and started grinding you and Lex told me to go and step in for her I almost ran to you. But I couldn’t seem excited because I couldn’t let Lex see. But when you started yelling at me it hurt. I started to hate you again but then here we are. Clark I think I…”

* Meanwhile*

Lois was talking to the doctors.

Doctor: We took a look at his blood and there seems to be bits of green substances floating around in his blood.

Lois starts to think about meteor rock and knows she has to tell the doctor.

Lois: Listen Doctor Clark is allergic to the meteor rocks. When he fell out of the car he might have scraped himself on a piece and now it’s killing him. Is there any way we can get it out of him?

Doctor: Maybe if we make a special type of magnet that would lure the fragments together and out of the cut then he should be better. I’ll get right to work on it.

As he was walking out the door…

“ Would you mind having dinner with me tonight? You know so that way I could find out more about Clark’s reaction to meteor rock.”

Lois: Umm………..Sure I’d love to go.

Chapter 11:

(Lana’s POV)

“I think I love you Clark. God I can’t believe I would ever say that to anyone again. A part of me wants you to hear that but the other part doesn’t.”

At that moment Lex walked in. He sees Lana crying by Clark’s side.

Lex: Lana are you okay?

Lana: Yeah Lex I’m fine.

Lex: Good. So what are you doing here?

Lana: What does it look like I’m doing Lex? I’m talking to Clark.

Lex: It looks more like your crying over Clark’s unconscious body.

Lana: Lex Why are you here I thought you were on a business trip?

Lex: Well someone called me and told me that Clark was in the hospital so I cut my business trip short and came right over.

Lana: Well I’ll leave you alone to talk to Clark.

Lana then leaves and Lex sits where Lana was.

Lex: Listen buddy I’m sorry, but you’d better back off of Lana. If not then I might have to hurt you. Get well soon.

Lex then leaves.

Later that night:

Lois is down at Clark’s room talking to the unconscious Clark.

Lois: Clark the doctor’s think that they can cure you. They know about your allergy to kryptonite. Sorry I kind of let it slip, but I figured they would be able to help if they knew you were allergic to it. So I have to go on a date with the doctor, who’s supposed to be treating you, so he can explain how we’re going to try to save you.

She then saw Clark stirring.

Clark:………………..Lois. …………………Yellow. ………

…. Kryptonite…….. Jor-El…….key in pocket……take it………stick it in keyhole…….. Cave. Don’t care…consequences……go NOW!!!!

After that Clark went back into unconsciousness.

Lois: Clark…..CLARK!!!!!! No don’t black out on me again. Ok Lois ok, get ahold of yourself. Now try to make some kind of sense out of what Clark was trying to tell you. All right first check his pockets for any sign of the key.

Lois then started to search in his jacket pocket, when she couldn’t find it in there; she started to search in his pants pocket. She found it in there right next to his wallet.

Lois: all right Lois now go to the caves to talk to Jor- El.

Lois ran out of the room nearly colliding with Lana.

Lois: Lana I’m soooo sorry but I can’t talk I have to go do something for Clark.

With that Lois ran off.

(Lana’s POV)

Once Lex got back from talking to Clark, we had decided to head home. The car ride home brought a lot of angry tension between Lex and I. At first it was quiet. That is until the interrogation began.

“ So Lana why were you crying over Clark when I came into the room?” he asked.

I knew he couldn’t know the real reason I was crying. So I said the first thing that came into my mind.

“ Just seeing someone laying there all defenseless makes me sad and I wondered what would happen if that were me.”

“ Lana you know that that would never be you I love you too much to let anything happen to you.”

“I know Lex.”

Ok on the outside I looked normal, fine. On the inside I was throwing up, I couldn’t wait to get home so I could get away from Lex. He just told me he loved me, sure he says that every day but it still bothers me. I mean he threatened me so that I would go out with him. Not like Clark though he actually listens to me, he’s sweet, kind, and he actually has hair. I guess being hot…. just then of course Lex just had to cut off my thoughts. AGAIN.

Lex: Lana are you okay? You seem out of it.

Lana: I’m fine Lex just thinking things over.

Lex: What kind of things?

Lana: Just things.

Lex: Things about me?

Lana: I’m just thinking.

Lex: Lana, what’s going on? I just asked you a simple question, and you suddenly got all defensive. Why won’t you just tell me Lana?

“Because Lex it’s none of your business what or who I think about.”

I hurriedly let out a gasp and put my hand over my mouth. I heard a loud screech and felt the car shake to a stop.

“What the hell is the matter with you Lana,” asked Lex.

I took in my surroundings and noticed I was about 1/8 of a mile away from the mansion. I got out of the car and started running. I didn’t want to face Lex. I figured if I could make it to the mansion I could take a car and go sleep somewhere for the night.

“Lana come back here.”

*I turned around and saw Lex getting out of the car, and man did he look pissed. He started running after me and I ran with all the strength I had left in me. I turned around and saw him getting back in the car. I noticed a small forest nearby so I ran into the forest getting cut by sticks and twigs on the way. It was a bad day to wear heels. I could hear Lex starting his car and turning onto the road. Sadly, I wasn’t looking where I was going, and I tripped over a tree root that was sticking halfway out of the ground. I hurriedly got up and brushed myself off.

I continued to run. I heard Lex’s car getting closer, and then a loud screech as I heard Lex stop. I ran until I could see the mansion coming into view. I ran as fast as my legs could carry me. It was tough because I think I might have sprained my ankle when I tripped. I had finally arrived at the mansion. Without even stopping to fumble with the keys, I took them out and just stuck one of the thousands of keys into the keyhole. Since I figured it would take to long to actually go through all of the keys until I found the right one, I hurriedly ran my fingers over all of the keys until I found the right one. A few years ago after I had moved in with Lex I had a special key made so that way I could find it easily. It has a double L on the top part of the key. I jammed it into the keyhole and ran into the garage. Even though I can basically have any car I want, I still can’t find it in my heart to get rid of my Liberty. I ran to it opened it and popped in the keys and took off as fast as I could go. I kept driving until I realized I had nowhere to go. Then one thought popped into my mind. Clark. I changed the direction I was going in and headed straight for the Smallville medical center. I figured I could check Clark and have my leg checked out, but I could never expect what was going to happen next.

After I had gotten there, I went straight to Clark’s room, and was disgusted with what I saw. Lois was hugging Clark and started feeling around in his pockets. I didn’t know that they were dating or that Lois liked him like that. Suddenly I saw Lois start to run out of the door and I started to go into the door. She nearly collided with me saying,” Lana I’m so sorry but I have to do something for Clark.”

She ran off after that leaving me staring at her starry-eyed. I almost started crying at the thought of Clark and Lois dating, but I walked inside and started talking to Clark.*

Chapter 13:

Lois ran out of the hospital as fast as lightning. She hurriedly ran to the caves since she didn’t have a car and Clark’s car got wrecked. When she got there, she started feeling around for the keyhole. Once she found it she hurriedly inserted the key, and waited to hear Jor-El’s mighty voice boom out. And sure enough she heard it.

“WHERE IS KAL-EL?”

“He’s stuck in the hospital. We were driving home, and he veered to the side to avoid getting hit by a truck. His truck ended up flipping over, and he got kryptonite in his bloodstream.”

“WHO EXACTLY ARE YOU?”

“ I’m Lois Lane.”

“AND HOW DO YOU KNOW OF KAL-EL?”

Wow. This is going to be an interesting story to tell.

So Lois went on to explain about that day when she found out Clark’s secret. After she explained the details of how she found out, Jor-El went on to ask her more questions.

“HOW DO I KNOW KAL-EL REALLY SENT YOU HERE?”

“Because he asked for yellow kryptonite and he said he didn’t care about the consequences.”

“VERY WELL THEN. I WILL GIVE YOU THE YELLOW KRYPTONITE, BUT YOU MUST DELIVER IT STRAIGHT TO KAL-EL. ONCE HE IS BETTER TELL HIM TO COME SEE ME TO FINISH HIS TRAINING.”

Suddenly there was a bright light and all was silent. Lois stood there waiting for Jor-El to come back and give her the kryptonite. When he finally returned she looked down and there sitting in her hands was a piece of yellow rock.

Lois didn’t say anything else to Jor-El, once she saw she had the rock she ran back to the hospital. When she got there she hurriedly ran and put the kryptonite against Clark’s chest. Suddenly the rock began to glow a bright yellow and Clark had started to hover a bit.

Chapter 14:

(Lana’s POV)

Right after Lois ran into me and then left, I walked into Clark’s room. Thinking of Lois and Clark dating made me want to cry. I sat in the same chair that I had opened up to Clark in. The same chair that I confessed my love to him in. I reached out to grab his hand, but then pulled back ever so slightly. All of a sudden my eyes started to tear up.


Why do I do this to myself? Why do I fall for guys who either don’t fall back or end up leaving me? I can’t believe I’m sitting here crying over a guy I love, and it’s the same guy that’s going to be the best man at my wedding.

I got snapped out of my thoughts, when I heard a noise. Clark had started to stir.

“L-Lois?”

Oh no. Clark thought that I was Lois. What should I do? I could either talk to him, pretend to be Lois, or wait until he falls asleep again. I decided to talk to him.

“ No Clark. It’s me, Lana.”

Suddenly I saw a small smile come over his face as he said my name.

“L-Lana?”

“Yes Clark. I came to check on you.”

“Well wait, where’s Lois?”

The smile and warm fuzzy feeling I had on my face suddenly disappeared when he mentioned Lois’s name.

“ She’s not here Clark.”

I turned around to look at him, and was surprised at what I saw. Clark was sitting upright, his head turned, and he was looking straight into my eyes. I gulped. Just staring into those deep blue-green eyes made me want to melt into his arms and never come back into this complicated reality.

“Lana, Lana, are you okay?

Clark’s voice entered my thoughts at just that moment.

“Umm… Yeah Clark I’m fine. I was just thinking about something.”

Oh crap. Wasn’t that how I got into my fight with Lex?

“Oh, well I’m sorry I didn’t mean to intrude on your thoughts.”

“Oh, don’t worry about that it wasn’t anything important.”

There was a long silence. Neither of us knew what to say. After about five minutes of awkward silence, I decided to ask him about the other day.

“Umm… Clark I was wondering did you hear anything I said a few hours ago.”

No answer. I turned to look at him and found him sleeping. Of course just when I finally got up the nerve to ask him something he falls asleep.

I stayed there for about five more minutes before I started to feel sick. I realized that I hadn’t eaten in hours and I was starving. I got up and started to go to the cafeteria. Once I put my foot down I quickly jumped back into the chair. I let out a quiet yelp of pain. When I stepped on my foot a quick pain had shot through it almost like I had stepped on a nail or something. I got up and tried to step on it again but the same thing happened. I sat there quietly thinking about what I could have done to hurt my foot, and more importantly how I was going to get around.

While pondering my problems I looked over at Clark. He lay there with a big silly grin on his face, sleeping like an angel. Then I started looking around the room. There were flowers on the table beside his bed on the nightstand and it looked like it had come with a card attached. I’ll have to read that once I can walk. Then it suddenly hit me. Of course I could call one of the nurses.

I reached as far out as I could reach, but my arms still came out to be a few feet short of the “call” button. I sunk down in my chair looking for something that I could possibly use to reach the button. There was nothing near me. Well nothing that I could reach anyway. There was only one option.

I would have to crawl to reach the button.

I lowered myself onto the grounds and stuck my feet into the air. One of my knees was burning. So I would have to crawl on my hands, one knee, and hope that neither my other knee or foot would touch the ground. I hurriedly inched my way forward. I was almost there I few inches away. I reached out my hand trying to gain my balance. The tips of my fingers grazed against the button. I pushed it and waited. Then I heard a quaint little voice from the other end of the speaker.

“Yes?”

“Hi. I’m in room 120. I was here visiting but my feet and knee are hurting me. Could you please send up a wheelchair?”

“I would be pleased to send you a wheelchair, and get you a doctor to come look at that and maybe take some X-rays.”

“Thank You.”

Silence. I was on the floor and a nurse was on their way up to come help me. Just when I heard a knock on the door a pain shot through one of arms. I let out a small scream and told the nurse to come in. He came in and found me on the floor wincing. He rushed over and helped me into the wheelchair. After I was secured in the wheelchair, he waited until the pain was gone. Then he started moving me towards another room.

“Thank you. You came at just the right time.”

“ It’s no problem. Happy to help umm…”

“Lana.”

“ Well Lana it’s nice to meet you I’m Jason. I’ll be taking you to see Dr. Torres she should be able to help you with your problem. She might also take x-rays to make sure nothing’s broken. Well, here we are. Dr. Torres should be in shortly.”

“Thank you.”

I waited a few minutes when I finally heard the door open. In walked a 20 something year old with blond hair pulled back into a ponytail.

“Hello Miss…Lang. I’m Dr. Torres. Now would you please tell me anything that happened to you today that might have caused any of your injuries?"

So I told her about the little run in the woods that I had, but I left out some parts that I didn’t think she needed to know.

“Well Miss Lang I’ll take you down to x-rays to see if you’ve broken anything.”

Dr. Torres took me down to x-rays. Once I was they made me take a CAT scan. I felt so isolated with all the machines buzzing and whirring around me. Once I was done with x-rays, I stayed in the tiny little room that they had me in before and I waited. I waited for what seemed like hours when Dr. Torres came into the room.

“ Well miss Lang I have good news and some bad news. Which would you like first?”

“Umm.. bad news first.”

“You’ve sprained one of your ankles most likely the one that tripped over the tree root. Everything else is just sore from all the bumps and bruises you have. You should be able to heal fully within a month. The good news is that your baby is safe.”

sry guys i had to leave you with a little cliffy. i dont know when ill be able to update again but hopefully it'll be next week and thanks basketballstar23 glad to know someone hasnt forgotten my fic. to tell the truth i went back and read all my updates and i didnt even remember half the stuff i put in there. good to know my fans know the story more than i do. and redraven i didnt forget but thanks for the reminder.

The kiss isn't the worst part of that preview....if you look again you will see that the annoncer says that "friends will become enemies" just as thier showing Lana walk in on Clark. Which leads me to speculate that due to the breakup and maybe something that happens next week that Lana starts to Hate Clark.

Nice to see I'm not the only one who thinks so. I always get bashed whenever I voice my displeasure with stories that don't get updated. I just don't buy the "I have other things going on excuse". Heck I work 50 hours a week....plus have other extra activities going on and I stil manage to update 3 seperate stories on this site.
