The Secret Admirer

Valentine's Day was a special day wheresecret admirers and lovers reveal there feelings for other people anonomously or straight foward. Every Valentine's Day Clark would receive a poem from a secret admirer. But always the same one, althought Clark could never find out who sent him these poems.

Clark was walking towards his locker to get his biology book. When he got to his locker he found a pink envelope. He took it off and opened the envelope. Inside held a pink piece of paper, he unfolded it

It read:

"Your beautiful blue eyes,
make me so warm inside,

You fulfill my heart's desires,
I am your secret admirer. "

Clark then searched for a name that came with the envelope but didn't find one. So he went over to Chloe hoping that she could help him find out who gave him the poem.

"Chloe read this" Clark said practically shoving the poem in her face.

"Hey Clark, nice to see you too." Chloe responded taking the paper.

Clark: Sorry about the rude intrusion I'm just a little distracted by the poem.

Chloe: Not exactly Shakespear but its pretty good. Who wrote it?

Clark: I wish I knew.

Clark squinted at Chloe.

Chloe: Whoa! I did not write this.... I'll tell you that write now..

Clark: Okay... glad to get that cleared up.

Chloe: So what are you going to do?

Clark: Find out. Do you think....

Chloe: Well she does like poetry

Clark: No it couldn't be...

Chloe: She's always hiding behind a book.

Clark: True.

Chloe: But it doesn't hurt to ask.

Clark: Alright I'll drop by later.

Then leter after school Clark dropped by the Talon.

Lana was behind the counter writing on a pink piece of paper when Clark came in. She quickly hid the paper.

Lana: Hey Clark.

Clark: Hey Lana

Lana turns around to pour a cup of coffee for him. When she turns back she sees him holding the pink piece of paper.

Lana: What's that?

Clark: Oh this..... it's a poem... I think I have a secret admirer.

Lana: Do you have any ideas of who it might be?

Clark: Well sort of.....

Then he looks at Lana as if she wrote it.

Lana: What? No I didn't write it!

Clark: Well then I have no idea.

Lana: Talk to Chloe?

Clark: yea she told me to ask you....

Lana: Well sorry not me.

Clark could tell Lana was hiding something. But he let it go.

The Next Day

Clark found another envelope on his locker.

It read:

" I fell in love with you,
I hope you did too,

I am closer then you think
because my favorite color is pink"

Clark smiled and knew who it was.

He then went to a flower shop and ordered a dozen tulips to be sent to the Talon. Clark walked out of the flower shop with a smile.

Later that afternoon......

A delivery guy came in with a dozen tulips.

Delivery Man: I have a delivery for a Lana Lang?

Lana: Right here.

The man handed her the dozen tulips.

Lana: Who are they from?

Delivery Man: Uh.... from a...... Clark Kent.

Lana smiled with joy.

There was a card with the tulips.

It read

"Roses are red,
Violets are blue,

I know who you are
because I love you

See you at seven in my loft
To hear your voice so soft. "

Lana put the card to her heart.

Then at one table in the Talon, sat a long haired blonde girl by the name of Alicia Baker. She has just been realeased from Belle Reve cured. But when she saw Lana with the tulips and heard who they were from she got jealous and angry.

" Clark belongs to me" Alicia said to herself.

Clark: Hello?

Alicia: Hi Clark, it's alicia.

Clark: Alicia! What are you doing here?

Alicia: I came to see you, i'm cured.

Clark: You're cured? How am i suppose to believe that?

Alicia: I'm standing right in front of you?

Clark: You could have escaped, teleporter out.

Alicia: Then i would have the whole town looking for me, which they clearly aren't.

Clark: Fine, what do you want?

Alicia: A second chance, i know we're meant to be together.

Clark: You tried to kill me and Lana, why would i give you a second chance?

Alicia: Because i wasn't right when i did those bad things and you know we're the same. And i never told anyone your secret, not a soul.

*Clark realizes she has a point.*

Alicia: I just wanted to tell you that, i'll leave now.

Clark: Wait. How do I know your really cured?

*Alicia flashes her bracelet*

Clark: What is that?

Alicia: It's a special bracelet that prevents me from teleporting.

Clark: How did you get here?

Alica: I drove.

Clark: Oh...

Alicia: Clark you don't have to trust me right away... I want to earn your trust.

*Alicia leaves.*

Then at 7...


Clark is gazing into the night sky waiting for Lana when he hears someone coming up the steps. Clark turns around and sees Lana.


Clark: Wow! You look beautiful!

Lana: Thank you.

Clark: Have a seat.

They both sit down.

After they ate they talked and talked. But Clark couldn't talk to Lana about Alicia being back. It would hurt her. So they just stayed off the topic.

Lana: Well I had fun Clark.

Clark: Me too. I'll walk you to your car.

They both walk downstairs and to Lana's SUV.

Then they were silent looking in each others eyes. Clark then gave her a kiss.............on her cheek.

Then Lana drove off wondering why he didn't kiss her.

The Next Day....

Clark talks to Chloe about Alicia.


Chloe: Okay so Alicia is back and cured?

Clark: yea...

Chloe: and she wants to be with you?

Clark: yep..

Chloe: and you have feelings for both Lana and Alicia?

Clark: Yup

Chloe: Gee... sounds familiar...

Clark: Sorry.... Well I just don't know who to choose. I mean Alicia and I are like the same people and I've always been in love with Lana, but I have to keep my secret from her.

Chloe: Clark, you don't have to be the same to be in love.

Clark was dwelling on Chloe's words for the past few days in his loft avoiding Lana and Alicia. So if he heard someone coming up the steps he would superspeed out. He didn't really care who it was, he just wanted to be alone.


"You don't have to be the same to be in love."

" You've been a very hard person to find lately" a voice coming from behind.

Clark turns around and finds Alicia but doesn't say anything.

Alicia: Clark I know you have feelings for Lana but its just not meant to be.

He still doesn't say anything.

Alicia: You and Me we're the same people and you and lana are just not.

Clark: Thats not true.

Alicia: Of course it is.

Clark: No its not Alicia..... we aren't meant to be together.

Alicia takes a step back.

"you don't know what your saying." she said glaring at him

Clark comes to realization.

Clark: Yes I do Alicia, you may know my secret and we might be similar but I'm not in love with you.

Alicia: NO... NO... your suppose to be with ME.

Clark: I talked to a friend and she said that you don't have to be the same to be in love. I'm sorry Alicia, but there someone else in my life... someone I really care about.

Alicia: Clark.

Clark: Alicia..... Lana and I may be in a strange place right now but I'm still hoping we can work it out.

Then Clark superspeeds to Lana's apartment.

Lana hears a knock on the door.

Lana: Who is it?

"It's me." Clark said nervously.

Lana opens the door.

Lana: Clark what are you doing here?

Clark: I'm doing what I should have done the other night.

Lana's heart was beating so fast that she could hear it.

Clark gets closer to her and kisses her lips tenderly and passionately. Lana returns the kiss. Then Lana pulls him in and closes the door still kissing.

Lana: Yes Clark I got it.

Clark: Okay... well lets see I'm not like other people.... I have special abilities.

Lana: What are you saying?

Clark: Well I'm saying that I can do things that nobody in this world can do.

Lana: Like what?

Clark stands up in front of Lana and then superspeeds behind her.

Lana: What the ?

Clark: behind you.

Lana: Clark how did you?

Clark: I have super speed.

Lana: Clark..... .thats... thats... amazing!

Clark: I'm not freaking you out?

Lana: No...

Clark: Well okay thats only ability no. 1.

"Well I'm up for anything now." Lana said folding her arms.

Clark: Okay you see that candle?

Lana: Yes.

He then used his heat vision and lit the candle.

Lana: Whoa! how did you do that?

Clark: With my eyes I can shoot heat.

"Thats why I just want to melt everytime I look in those eyes." she mumbled to herself.

Clark: So you just want to melt in my arms huh?

Lana: what? how did you know I said that?

Clark: Super hearing.

Lana: Well then I can't keep anything from you now can I.

Clark: No not really.

They both laughed

Lana: So anymore abilities that could come in handy?

Clark: well I have super strength, x-ray vision and I'm invincible.

Lana: Impressive... .so how did you control your powers when you were young?

Clark: Well I didn't... you see when I was young I didn't know how to control them so I either ended up in the woods or lifted something that was twice my size.

Lana: You were quite the child.

Clark: But the most embarrasing part of my other powers were that you were involved in some of them.

Lana: involved?

Clark: Well my heat vision and x ray vision I didn't know how to control them yet when I first got it so it sort of went on and off.

Lana: The x-ray vision.. you never... did you?

Clark: Did I tell you I didn't know how to control some of my abilites when I first got it?

Lana: Clark? what happened?

Clark: Well I was climbing the rope in gym and then I had a headache and then my x-ray vision kicked in and I turned to Pete and then I saw through his skin. Then it freaked me out and thats when I fell..... and my eyes happened to turn towards the girls locker room and....

Lana: AND?

Clark: I saw you with a towel wrapped around you.... and then you... dropped it......

He then smiled.

Lana: CLARK KENT!!!

Clark: I told you I didn't have any control over the ability at that time!

Lana threw a pillow at him.

Clark: Its not like I didn't see you like that before....

Lana: what do you mean?

Clark: Remember the Nicodemus flower?

"that good huh?" Lana said as she got closer to his lips.

then they were in a long passionate kiss for quite a while......

Clark: Lana! okay thats enough! I've hardly go to the surface.

Clark: well meteor rocks... they make me sick.. and then there's red kryptonite... kryptonite is what we call it at our planet. I'll explain more later.. okay so red k it makes me a completely different person. A more risky person but also dangerous..

Clark: Yup... I'm so sorry about that...

Lana: So it makes you a whole different person?

Lana: So whats this krypto- something?

Clark: Kryptonite.. Its what we call it at our planet Krypton.

Lana: Wow my boyfriend is out of this world.... literly.

Clark: Yup but... you might want to sit down....

Lana sat down while clark stood.

Clark: Lana I came during th meteor shower... the one that killed your parents... .I'm so sorry... if i knew it cause you pain I would have never came....

Lana: Clark its okay.. you were just baby... how could you do it... you weren't the pilot.. you didn't make the meteor shower happen.

Clark: But-

Lana: No buts... the meteor shower may have taken something from me but now I have someone who cares and protects me and won't let anything hurt me.

Clark: lana I am sorry..

Lana: I know that Clark... but its not your fault...

Clark: But I still feel guilty for just coming here.... I caused so much pain with my presence here....

Lana: NO Clark thats not true.... you had no control...

Clark: So do you still accept me?

Lana: Yes I do... every part...

Then she walked up to him and tipped her head and kissed him.

Lana: Clark Kent asks Lana Lang on a date.

Clark: Miss. Lang would you like to show your presence with me tonight at 8?

Lana: Will that be on foot, horseback, or a carrige?

Clark: It's a suprise.

Lana: Now your getting me very curious.

Clark: Well I'll go home and get ready and pick you up later. Dress casual... nothing special.. regular clothes.

Lana: Okay see later my Prince Charming.

Clark: I shall see thou Juliet and 8. oh yeah.. make sure you eat before you leave.

Lana: No dinner??

Clark: Sorry but this Prince Charming isn't a King's son.

Lana just smiled.

Just when Clark was about to leave Lana pulled him back and gave him a kiss good-bye that lasted for quite a while.

Then Clark supersped to back to the farm to plan the transportation. By 7:30 she was ready and went downstairs to find Clark waiting there.

Lana: My Prince Charming has come to sweep me off my feet.

Clark: This Prince Charming isn't capable of flying yet.

Lana laughed.

Clark: So Cinderella, our carriage awaits us.

Lana: You are full of suprises.

When they were out the doors of the apartment, awaited them was an actual carriage.

Clark: So Princess, here is your carriage.

Lana: I feel like I'm in a fairy tale.

Clark: You are for tonight.

Lana: How did you get a carriage?

Clark: that is for me to know and for you to find out

Clark opened the door to the carriage and when Lana was in he followed and closed the door.

Lana: So where are we going?

Clark: You'll find out in a minute.

They stopped at a Horse stable.

Clark opened the door and helped Lana out of the carriage.

Clark turned around to the carriage driver.

Clark: Thanks dad.

Lana: Mr. Kent??

Jonathan revealed himself.

Jonathan: You two have fun now.

Lana: You are full of suprises.

Clark led her to the horses where a lady was standing.

Then he helped Lana up to the horse and then he pulled himself up on to the horse.

Just when they were about to leave Clark turned around.

Clark: Thanks Mom!

Lana: Mrs. Kent?????

Martha revealed herself.

Martha: You two ride safely....

When they got to there spot, their was a screen, a movie projector, and a truck. Lana then realized where she was.

Lana: We're at your farm..

Clark: Yup... not what you expected?

Lana: It's better then what I expected.

There were two people waiting on each side of the door and they both opened it for Clark and Lana.

Clark: Thanks Chloe, Thanks Pete.

Lana: I'd figure it was them.

Chloe: I told Clark to stop at the stables but he didn't listen.

Pete: Yup.. so her is your popcorn and drink Lana.

Chloe: and here is your popcorn and drink Clark.

Clark: Thanks guys. I will pay you back.

Pete and Chloe: Hope so.

Then Pete and Chloe left.

Clark: So Lana, has your fairy tale come true?? transportation on foot, carriage, and horseback and bring back a good memory of a real birthday from when you were 2 years old, a Prince Charming that sweeps you off your feet without flying.

Lana pulled him in for a kiss.

Lana: It's perfect.

As the night went on Clark and Lana enjoyed the movie and then after Clark led her to coffee and cookies.


Lana: Wow.. the sky is so beautiful.

Clark: Yea I thought this place would be a great place to watch the sky.

Lana: You have really got me in this whole fairy tale thing..

Clark: I try.

Lana gave him a kiss.

Clark: I love you Lana.

Lana: I love you to Clark.


They both sat there in the night sky watching the full moonlit sky.. Then a shooting star passed by.

They both made a wish...

This was a start of something amazing that only comes once in a lifetime.
